I think I am going to have to agree with Red. I know NAF likes to throw votes around early in the game to get a reaction, but here he seems to be stretching more than normal to justify his votes, especiall the current one.
May be some psychological manipulation. Trying to get players to think of him as someone who is trying to lynch scum. (I am halfway serious with this. If it was just this post by itself, I wouldn't think much of it.)
NAF might just be trying to apply pressure to pede here, but I find it unlike NAF to ride the coattails of anyone.
I just threw this in to be complete.
I have the same objections to this post that Red has. How was Red stirring the pot. We were all curious about the highlighting. Why is Red mentioning it but not voting a problem?

Grrr, proboards ate my pity response to MHaye's vote for me. Grrr. Anyway, MHaye is right, my vote wasn't good, but I offer the excuse of "it was early in the Day on Day 1". I would now like to move my vote to unvote pede vote Red for stirring the highlighter post pot without having the guts to lay down a vote. My last post was better, but this is what you get the second time around. (ensmallened) You've replaced a vote for no reason with another vote for no reason. How exactly did I stir the highlighter post pot, and how does that make me scum. For casting 2 poorly reasoned votes now: vote NAFSorry, I thought that was clearly explained, but maybe it got lost in the translation from the missing post. You posted to say that you were very concerned about the highlighted post, but that there were already some votes on Pede so you didn't see a need to vote that way. So with that post you 1) join the crowd of people who don't like pede using the highlight 2) cast apsersions on pede for hilighting 3) manage to do both of the above while avoiding accountability from people like MHaye who are going to be looking closely at the Pede wagon. Seems scummy to me. Not a substance-less vote at all, quite the opposite actually.

Mr Blockey has said, explicitly, that there is no special significance to the post highlight colour. *Laughs Maniacally* I would prefer no highlighting, but the only color changes in the game will occur to text. Not to be pedantic, but Blockey said color changes will only occur to text - he did not say that there was no significance to highlighting, only that he prefered no highlighting. You ask about highlighting, pede does it, then you do it. Almost feels like some wierd colour handshake

Sorry, I thought that was clearly explained, but maybe it got lost in the translation from the missing post. You posted to say that you were very concerned about the highlighted post, but that there were already some votes on Pede so you didn't see a need to vote that way. Huh, very concerned is not the language I used, why are you trying to inflate what I said, Here's the actual quote: I'm also curious about what is up with the coloration. But I'll hold off on my vote for the moment, since he's already acquired a couple. IE: I'd point this out because I'm curious about this, but others have already called it to attention, so I'll wait politely until pede comes back to explain. 1. The reason I didn't like it is because its hard for me to read black-on-purple. (Which I said, and I asked him to stop doing it) 2. I did no such thing. Where did I "cast aspersions"? 3. Funny, because Mhaye did notice my comments, and commented about the second one and how the black on purple doesn't bother him. Ok, so your vote does have some substance, but only when you inflate some parts and fabricate the rest. Yeah, I'm fine where my vote is.

Ok, so your vote does have some substance, but only when you inflate some parts and fabricate the rest. Yeah, I'm fine where my vote is. Boo hiss. A defense of "am not; burn the witch" never gained anyone any friends. The above is specifically what I am thinking of when I say that you are stirring the pot without providing accountability. It's a weasel post and good enough for me for Day one. Now don't lynch me, I'm the doctor.

Now don't lynch me, I'm the doctor. That's a good enough reason for me, and it explains why you are stretching so hard to find a vote. unvote: NAFThe next scummiest thing was pointed out by pede: I told you why I did it already: as a lark. My text is not colored, Mr. Blockey explicitly said it was okay. Did you miss that post? Also, nice loaded question "tell me why you really did it". What, am I supposed to make up some sort of power? Is that what you want? Or do you just want me dead? Either way, you're coming on really strong. Vote: FCOD I find my self in agreement with the opinion that this indictment is fairly strongly worded. Perhaps too strongly. It doesn't feel as good as my case against NAF, but with precious few hours left in the day, it's the direction I feel strongest about that doesn't involve possibly needlessly sacrificing a doctor. vote: FCOD

Not to be pedantic, but Blockey said color changes will only occur to text - he did not say that there was no significance to highlighting, only that he prefered no highlighting. Exactly. Blockey said that he preferred no highlightijng. If there were any significance to the highlighting, he would have forbidden it. That he did not means it has no game significance. You ask about highlighting, pede does it, then you do it. Almost feels like some wierd colour handshake Or it might be a perfectly natural mistake. I told you how it happened. If you choose not to believe me you will wind up throwing the game away - unless you are an SS.

Day 1 comes to a slow start. The only real discussion has been over Pedescribe's flashy rain coat, and whether it means something or he just has really bad fashion sense. A couple people get really mad at him prompting others to get mad at them and then it's decided, a cow will be led to the slaughter.
Pedescribe and Redskeezix grab FCOD by either arm, dragging him to the stone of souls. At the last moment he breaks free, only to be punched by Mental Guy and knocked backwards into his doom. The stone screams in red and blue and yellow and green, black purple orange and white. As he disappears completely an image appears above the stone showing FCOD kneeling at a grave site, penitent before a black shield.
FCOD is dead: He was the town Necromancer, able to speak to dead players, and once in the game, use one of their powers.
Final Vote Count:
Pedescribe (2): BillMC, FCOD FCOD (3): Pedescribe, redskeezix, Mental Guy Redskeesix (1): NAF
Night will last until 2 pm eastern Saturday. All night actions will be due by at a minimum ten minutes prior.

I don't follow why you and pede find FCoD's aggressiveness so scummy. Early aggressive action, while not definitely a sign of not-scum, is by no means a scummy action, and usually is a fairly pro-Town move.

The sun rises and the first thing that everyone notices is that Total Lost and BillMC have a bright white glow about them. The second thing everyone notices is Mental Guy's body stabbed and drained of blood on the ground. Investigating his body a number of multicolored crystals and powders are revealed, the tools of basic chromamancy, an art developed as a defense against soul stainers. Mental Guy was a town Chromamancer.
It is now Day 2, due to small game size and absences I'm extending the end of Day 2 until 2 pm eastern on Friday
The Living:
1) MHaye 2) Boozahol Squid 3) redskeezix 4) BillMC 6) Pedescribe 7) Total Lost 9) Captain Pinkies 10) Archangel 11) Pollux Oil 12) NAF
The Dead:
5) FCOD : Town Necromancer 8) Mental Guy: Town Chromamancer
This is really true of all my games but I haven't mentioned it yet and should mention it at least once: Make sure you read any pms from me before posting in the thread!

What does a chromomancer do?
Is it just me, or does 'defense against soul stainers' sure sounds like 'doc'? Which would leave NAF with some 'splainin' to do.

What happened to Total Lost? Was she subbed out? No; like Bill, her name is listed in white. It might be worth picking a new skin to play this game in; I use coolicles (because I find white backgrounds give me eyestrain) and so far everything has shown up.

Also, why didn't you vote yesterDay? Might as well ask that of over half the players, as only six people had a vote in place at Nightfall; in addition to Archangel, neither Captain Pinkies, Pollux Oil nor Total Lost cast votes Yesterday. (Additionally Dio and I both ended the day having voted and unvoted, but not placed a new vote - in my case because I scarcely had time to unvote the claimed Doc after getting home.)
