W00t, d1 lynch was right for once. Also I think patricias confusion about cardinal sins shows us the scum team has imperfect knowledge about the game also so we should avoid discussing them if at all possible. (I know other people have said the same, just noting my agreement) Guys, I'd like to make a serious suggestion here..... Even though we have no restrictions on talking, I think we should avoid talking about tomorrow's lynch candidates and things like that..... We Know there could be things that alter the votes..... And most of us experienced first hand from AIW what could happen if the Devils can screw around with the vote and have a good idea who we are going to target tomorrow. Also this, anyone who was playing or following the recent through the looking glass game knows how ruinous night discussion can be to town. Sent from my GT-N7100 using proboards

Question about the Day 1 Vote Counts:
The official Vote Count shows
I show that Paranoia unvoted Holy Moley! in Post 167, and JustBeingGinger unvoted him in Post 222.
Is that Mod error, Player error, or 'working as intended'?

Is that Mod error, Player error, or 'working as intended'? There is no legal unvote in post D1.167. And it's mod error in D1.222. Note, that I'll correct final vote counts, but once the Day ends, it's too late to change who gets lynched. So double-check the official vote count if it matters to you.

Huzzah! I see that patricia was described as having "Manipulator powers". I'm not sure if we're talking vote manipulation, power manipulation, or something else, but I'm pretty sure 'less manipulation' will be a good thing. Pleonast is very specific about this in the rules: "Manipulator - can change how other powers work, including protectors, blockers and redirectors."

LET'S ALL TALK ABOUT OUR STRONGEST TOWNREADS
just kidding let's talk about BAD HORSE
If there are only four (4) horsemen, then that means that "taking souls for hell" is pretty potent. Usually for a game this size... five (5) or six (6) mafia? Any other thoughts?

Point being, either there are more scum than flavoring currently suggests, or the "taking souls for hell" is something that is a big deal.
I guess recruitment is a thing now that I think about it. :u But then do they become horsemen? Bronies?
*GASP* DO THEY BECOME...

Hey guys I have the worst cold ever. In Other News:
Five or Six scum would be about standard for this size, I'd think.
Also yaaaaaay. I kind of waffled on the side for the longest time with the "well maybe she's confused town?"
@Moley: I honestly didn't intend to have my vote on you after that post? Like maybe I'm still too used to single vote games and expected a simple unvote to suffice.
As I said yesterday: I think winning in the end requires souls to go to heaven instead of hell. I suspect both are a complete removal from the game, just one pushes us closer to victory (heaven) or further away(hell).
So our wincon is probably something more along the lines of a) absolve our sins, b)Lynch the shit out of devils, and c) avoid the temptation to sin.

Hey All, Finally read through all Day 1 posts and made my notes. First, Ginger, I'm so, so sorry about the baby. Second, Crys, I'm glad your surgery went well and you're feeling better. Third, I agree with the no strategy discussion at night. I think too much has already been revealed about Cardinal Sins Fourth, Hockey Monkey, I'm not sure why you jumped on me for this. Your complaints about my vote were explained right in my post: (Bolding mine) Sorry I have been MIA. Crazy busy in RL right now. I'm off to work and will not be back by EOD. I believe this is the game where I get a penalty if I don't vote, so I'm voting for someone who has no votes since I don't have time to read 11 pages. Vote: Pollux I'm hoping things settle down this w/e. (BUT, I thought that last w/e too and ended up with more patients) If things continue to be crazy, I'll request a sub. Sorry, All (and especially Pleo)
Sorry that things are so crazy for you IRL! But...even though you don't have time to read 11 pages and catch up, you could vote No Lynch instead of placing an actual vote on someone you haven't made a case on. I find it suspicious that you would do this. You say you are making a vote just so you won't get a penalty, but we don't know if there is a mechanism for that or not. You should be voting to find scum. Your vote for someone who has no votes is a safe place you won't have to defend. You could have voted for the lynch leader instead without really having to defend it, (you could have said, "hey, RL is getting in the way of things right now and I don't have time to make my own case on Patricia, but yeah, it seems as though she's lying her ass off") so why not place your vote there instead? It seems like a really scummy thing to do to just drop a vote on someone jus because they don't have any votes and are in no danger of being lynched. Vote: lauriern (again, sorry that you are so busy and I hope you won't have to sub)
In all fairness, I could have voted "No Lynch", but I had forgotten that "no lynch" was a possibility. I wasn't even sure I got a penalty if I didn't vote and did not have time to check. Just posting what I did made my son 5 mins late for school Thursday. (Priorities, you know - quick post in Mafia was more important ;D ) I voted Pollux b/c he was one of the few with no votes - no real chance of him being lynched unless a bandwagon formed out of nowhere. I never vote a lynchleader just b/c they're lynchleader. I had not read the past 11 pages - I did not know what the case was on Patricia. I agree I should be voting to find Scum, but when I haven't read the Day's posts, how can I do that?? And to be clear, I'm not upset about the vote. It's the post itself. I was reading through and came across this post to me and was like, "Whoa!" I think my schedule is settling out (despite another crazy day with last-minute admission yesterday), so I'm going to continue in this game, but am going to have to drop out of Story's game on the Dope. It took me 4 hours to catch up on this one between the reading and taking notes - I can't even imagine how long it would take to catch up over there

This post earns a penalty for an out-of-game link and image, as prohibited in the public rules, A player that does not have an active vote on a player or No Lynch at the end of the Day will receive one penalty. A player that edits a post, or posts a link to outside this game, or posts an image, or posts substantially not in English will receive a penalty for each post in violation. A player that reaches four penalties will be killed, but will still be in the game. Each Night, living players may vote to forgive--whichever player receives the most votes will be forgiven one penalty.

I guess I missed the whole "forgive" thing. How does that work? What are we forgiving? Just people who didn't vote in the previous day?
