Ah, night at the Elk's Club.
Oh, my role claim. It was added to the game late. I am the Dada Imperator Droid Rosicrucian Tarot Reader Palatine Harem Eunuch. I have a 35-sided die (a tercequincunxahedron) that runs on hydrogen fuel cells and buffalo meat (poached) (this die is coated in silver-leaf that I need to burnish with a hound's tooth every morning to prevent unsightly patination). I roll the die and depending on the result (which I read in the tenth dimension, beyond human sight (I have an Old One from Beyond the Stars hooked into my pineal-gland-socket (delicate surgery performed by Doctor Benway in Tunis) to help with this)-- I thought this would be faster to arrange) I smite a player of my choice.
Who wants a drink? The new special is. . . greyhounds! Pomplemousse (so the Canadian carton says) and Vodka!
This round's on me. The Dada Imperator Eunuch, aka the DIE.

I think I have a crush on a rodent. Is that gross?
Greyhounds are one of my favorite drinks! Vodka and grapefruit, quite tasty.
The Rosicrucian part was excellent. Also, smite IT again, he's not had nearly enough of that. Also, you left the "Chia" prefix off of your official title, otherwise it makes no sense.
If you're scum, I'll still like you, but I'll vote to have you killed. There's always the afterlife no?

Wow, Dotchan. Really? ( ) I'm sorry vacations are a ScumTell.... But alright, if i'm here in the mornings I guess I can try to defend against "Why didn't I randomly vote before I left town for almost a week." Though i really hope that's all that's really needed to explain my Absentia vote.

dotchan likes to suspect people that type out their posts. That's your first and only warning Roosh! Don't do it again.

OK, seriously, what do the scum still have to talk about at this point? YesterDay lasted like three hundred days. I want to play, dammit! Or die, and go talk about y'all in Limbo!
P.S. For what it's worth, dotchan, I think I was pretty open about the real-life difficulty I had keeping up during the regular portion of Day 3. I didn't vote because I didn't have a good handle on anything.

ok, finally all caught up. Day 3 sure was exciting, it's kind of a shame I missed it.
So...when's Day 4 start. Did I miss Idle posting a start time somewhere?

Well, to try to get things back on track, after a re-read of the last Day, I'm a bit weirded out by what dnooman has been saying... Sonofabitch! I almost hope they kill me tonight, so you guys know I wasn't advocating another townie lynch. The scum have gotten two double kills. It looks like the additional pro-town role was a double edged sword the way things turned out. {Bolding Mine} You said this early Tonight, and near the end of the Day, you said something similar in post 3.230 : I really, really hate giving my opinion when it seems clear to me that the scum are just on an info gathering hunt, but if I die tonight, it will never see the light of day. ... Damn, I think I just signed my own death warrant. It's worth it though if we don't get suckered. {Again, bolding mine} IME, these sorts of "this will probably get me killed but..." posts are the sorts of things scum can use to overtly manipulate votes toward a pro-town target, meanwhile trying to convince the town that they think they're REALLY pushing against scum, so that when the target does come up pro-town, they think less of it. Similarly, saying "I think I'm going to die tonight" is something I've seen scum say when they feel like they might be getting to the point of having so much town cred people start wondering why they haven't been targetted yet. Now, to this point the early votes against dnooman on Day one seemed to indicate he was town, but maybe that was a fortuitous break which forced him to change tactics. He was also the sixth person to vote for drainbead which, as others have mentioned, is around the time the psychos may have largely given up, so perhaps that is when he decided to jump on the wagon to help look townie. Anyone else have thoughts about that? MadTheSwine is still on my radar too, but less so... I'll have to go back and figure out why...

<snip> pygmy rugger's one post - read it again at #214 - is so frustrated in tone. He doesn't believe mhaye, but won't say why. He seems genuinely angry that the conversation was even allowed to develop. In that post, he also notes that he's only dropping in for a moment - his post sounds like someone who's furious that what he perceives as a twist of the rules could screw his team, but doesn't have the time to compose himself and make a calmer post.<snip> Story, I'm glad you picked up my frustration in that post, as I was genuinely angry, and here's why: <snip> ....the Chia Bingo Manager. A role so secret that I didn't even tell anyone I was putting in that, a secret role. <snip> Didn't I recall you saying something to the effect of how simple this game was going to be compared to all the others??? When Idle thoughts was soliciting players for this game, he explicitly said it was going to be a "relaxing" game, not complicated, straightforward, etc. Frankly, I think the secret role was bullshit, and still think Idle Thoughts should have made JSexton take out Malacandra like he said he would have. My frustration had to do with the point that Idle said he wasn't going to include shit like that, and he did anyway.

Hey, what do you want? I'm sorry. I just thought a top secret role would be interesting to have though. It's still without stuff like recruitment and percentages and "possible fail attempts" and many, many roles. But I just felt a "known only to myself and the person who it is" role would make the game better.

I think it did! I was on the edge of my seat (as I'm sure were a few others)! Hell yeah...I loved having that role in there. Post #1 in Limbo explains the role, and that the freshly dead shouldn't give too much secret info away, since there was a chance that someone might come back to life. I'm sure most of my fellow cadavers were doing the same thing as I was -- silently screaming at everyone to believe the role claim at face value. Ah well... Heh...actually, when there was discussion about the possibility that this might make the person come back as scum, it occurred to me that if Idle added a secret role, there was nothing stopping him adding an extra-super-secret twist like that! He wouldn't have had to be straight with us about it in Limbo, so I was every so slightly in favor of mhaye's lynch....until, of course, it came out that it was a straight-up townie role all the way.

I don't see how it made a difference.
Any dead scum posting in there obviously wouldn't want to divulge any info in case the power was gotten, as it's obvious the CBM would choose to raise a townie. As for town, whoever would have been raised from the dead wouldn't have known any more then they did before.

Oh, I get you now. You weren't slamming me again for the secret role. You were being sarcastic to Hal about saying stuff that's in the private forum. Gotcha. I'm heading off for the night. Everyone behave now.....
