Setup: One Mafia Goon, One Mafia Godfather who detects as town, 4 Town Millers, 3 Town Cops. I have also supplied the Goon with the Miller PM, and the Godfather with the Cop PM saying that their receiving of these is not meant to indicate the existence of these roles, but that they should use this information however they see fit. In reality, I sent them these so in case Town thinks a mass claim or a handshake is going to work, unless Scum are stupid, the results of handshake and/or mass claim will be pretty much neutral. The scum thread is here: www.idlemafia.com/index.cgi?board=hiddenalphaThe password is: nemeses23 The roles as distributed: 1. texcat - Town Miller2. FCOD - Town Cop3. sirsam972 - Town Miller4. BillMC - Scum Godfather5. MiteyMouse - Scum Goon6. hockeyguy8435 - Town Cop7. Special Ed - Town Cop8. gryff - Town Miller9. Total Lost - Town MillerThe role PM's: *** Role: Town Miller Power: If you are investigated by a Town Cop, you will return as scum. Win Condition: You win when all scum are defeated. *** Role: Town Cop Power: You may submit one player name at night. Upon dawn, you will learn the alignment of that player. Win Condition: You win when all scum are defeated. *** Role: Mafia Goon Power: None. But you can talk with your other mafiate, BillMC at the following board (password is nemeses23): www.idlemafia.com/index.cgi?board=hiddenalphaWin Condition: You win when you either outnumber town, or there are only two players left and one of them is scum. *** Role: Mafia Godfather Power: If investigated, you will show up as Town. You can talk with your other mafiate, MiteyMouse at the following board (password is nemeses23): www.idlemafia.com/index.cgi?board=hiddenalphaWin Condition: You win when you either outnumber town, or there are only two players left and one of them is scum. Special credit to BillMC who provided the Monty Python death color (i.e. everything but Dusk 1), including one to use for a scum death.

Hope you all had fun.
I must confess the setup was not of my making. It was one I came across a while back as a suggested setup that apparently was run once, but I never saw the game in which it was run. It's actually pretty balanced, in that should the town chooses to split the lynch equally between the roles, they have a good chance of finding scum. And if the godfather dies, it's reasonable to assume that all other cops are legit, so you get a somewhat confirmed group of townies.
But at it's simplest, the setup was actually little more than a glorified version of three-hand vanilla mafia.
Hope you enjoyed it in spite of the frustration the game no doubt caused.
And you're all welcome to participate in the Gastard game NAF and I should be running on the Dope soon. It will be nothing like this game in setup (it's semi-open, and there are no Godfathers or Millers) except for the fact that it, too, is Gasterd.

High Five Bill!
This was a fun game! You have no idea how much I laughed when I found out everyone were Millers or Cops!

Congrats you two! Well done.
I was suspecting Bill, but Mitey was under my radar, except for the anti-town non-votes.

well done.
I like how the handshaking became meaningless. But I also like that it didn't hurt, as it was bloody obvious that the Scum got our PMs as well.
With Bill and Mitey being experienced, there wasn't much hope for a slip.
Well played you too.

Special credit to BillMC who provided the Monty Python death color (i.e. everything but Dusk 1), including one to use for a scum death. Reading the color was certainly the most fun part of the scum board. I hope you do host a game soon, Bill. And thank you, Hoopy, for this fun game. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Yae Us :-) Yeah Gryff, the timing of Total's post almost sunk me - you were pretty sharp. I think you said this was your first game yeah? Yeah, though I have read through a few games on SMDB and the Qt3 boards. When playing the game I have learnt that working out who is scum is only half the game, convincing others is the hard part

Yup, and not getting lynched or nk'd in the process :-) Yeah, I thought I had protected myself sufficiently to avoid lynching, and expected to get night killed. I had hoped my last words about you would convince others to look at you closely if I died .

I guess. :-) Though I am still mad that you didn't vote for 2 days and then at the break of lylo dawn chose to vote me. :-( My new rule of thumb: lynch the non-voters. Aside from non-voting, you never looked scummy at all. Well played.
