The argument was short and sweet.
"Let's lynch MisterBlockey." said DfrntBreign.
"Let's lynch MisterBlockey." said Pumpjack.
"Let's lynch MisterBlockey." said Archangel.
"Alas, ComeToTheDarkSideWeHaveCookies could have won if we had all laid our arms down," said Peeker.
DfrntBreign, Pumpjack and Archangel bundled MisterBlockey over to the gallows, while the Pollux Oil Transit System stood there staring into space and Peekercpa mourned the passing of another possibly peace-minded citizen. Pumpjack searched the body quickly and expertly.
MisterBlockey, Establishment-aligned Vanilla, has joined the Choir Invisible.
"The Revolution is over! We have Won! Peace? Ha! That," DfrntBreign snapped his fingers "for your peace. We won the good old-fashioned way. By violence and bloodshed.
"And now it's your turn."
With that, the three of them produced concealed submachine guns and mowed down Pollux Oil and Peekercpa.
The Pollux Oil Transit System, an Establishment-aligned Lurker Detective has snuffed it. Peekercpa, aka Kenith the Prime Minister, a Peacekeeper Wincon Checker has passed on.
"Where did you put Nanook?" DfrntBreign asked Archangel.
"He's in the safehouse," she answered, pointing at a building just off the square, "listening to the Sex Pistols.. Think he'll have seen the light yet?"
"Let's go and find out. If not, well what's one more body?"
The three of them walked off, through the drizzle, leaving the bodies to be attended to by others.
Nanook, an Establishment-aligned Vanilla is at the mercy of the Rebels.
= = =
The game is over. Congratulations to the winning players.
DfrntBreign, the Rebel Second-in-command. Archangel, the Rebel Minister of Propaganda. Pumpjack, the Vanilla Rebel. Stanislaus, the Rebel Martyr (deceased). Bufftabby, the Vanilla Rebel (deceased)

great game. don't know if it would have played differently if i could have been around a little more.
if i could have just gotten in a couple of days earlier and convinced bill to list the remaining scum that might have provided enough impetus for them to settle. as it was, no way in hell.

Well that was fun.
Seriously, Thanks, everyone, for a great experience!! I don't know how you do this very often, and more than one game at a time?? I wouldn't remember to eat. Or sleep or bathe or anything else. And I don't even have a job!
And thanks, Hawk, for not only letting me play, but throwing me into the deep end as well!! This has truly been more fun than I've had in a while.
Congratulations my Rebel Brothers and Sisters!! And thanks again, for not selling me out at the end.
I really thought HockeyGuy would win with us, but I guess there are still things about this game I haven't figured out.
I haven't gone to look, yet so I still don't know if Bill, Mhaye and Peeker were PFKs or not. Either way it was a tough role to play and I don't know if I would ever have voted for "peace" or not. It was an easy decision knowing I couldn't win under it, but it's an interesting concept. When Bill made his claim, I never wanted to choke anyone on the internet so badly. We had it WON!! (I know you were only playing your role, Bill, but still...) And then when I started arguing with Peeker I started to believe my own BS. And I still don't know if I was right.
Anyway, that was great big fun and thanks to all. I'm gonna go see if I can figure out what a Lurker Detective is, among other things, but I probably won't sign up for another one anytime soon. when does that Conspiracy game start, again?

Well, I told you I wouldn't win unless you allowed me to kill the PM. But after my betrayal of Bill you guys didn't believe me.

Well that was fun. I really thought HockeyGuy would win with us, but I guess there are still things about this game I haven't figured out. There was the small issue of you not being dead. HG needed to become rebel leader to win. He could accomplish that by directly taking out the Rebel Leader or if Bill and you were killed. The Lurker detective was a player who get the identity/alignment of a player who failed to participate much the previous Day. As it turned out, the lurker detective vanished, so it wasn't of much use.

Exactly what both peeker and I said -- a day/night or night/day of no attempted (or successful kills) and the peacekeepers and everyone with "not a threat" would win.

Good game! And go team scum!
I really enjoyed my role, but it could have been a pyrrhic victory - 4 of my seven votes came from scum. Town were hampered by absenteeism but even so, that vote record was an open door. Also, how the hell did Archangel never get lynched?
I'm still annoyed with myself for picking off the Merc. But I have to say, scum were given the chance to send me a note on Day Two, and opted to write something designed to throw town off the track in the event the note was intercepted. Just a couple of names would have been a big relief when I was making my decision.
I was dead before the Peace option raised its head, but it was an interesting mechanic to read through (as Martyr, I of course would never accept Peace). Losing one Peacekeeper on Day One was a blow to that faction of course, but it would have been interesting to see the sides redraw themselves around a core of PKs.

wrt Archangel, we've played together in a few games now and regardless of what faction either of us are on, her play usually makes no sense to me whatsoever. I seriously do my best to ignore her if at all possible. (Nothing personal) And I think the combination of lurking scum (which I consider ArchAngel to have been most of the time, among others, but that is just what some scum do) with so many non-participatory Town (of which there were two well-populated subspcies: those who were mod-killed or lynched-for-lurking, and those who just took up space on the players' list without even providing any info via a flip) dried up a greatly significant amount of the potential data points, perspectives and most importantly...votes...that are supposed to make up a Town.

Great game setup! Congratulations again to Julie and the winning Rebels.
Town got definitely hurt by the absentees, but also failed to lynch/kill archangel or to accept peace. The peace/war struggle was a really nice twist.
A question for everyone not Rebel / Mason: why did nobody make me an offer (especially Day 2/3 when it was clear it was a Day Action)? You couldn't trust anyone to give it to (or risk it to an outed mason) and would just lose it when you died.

Town got definitely hurt by the absentees, but also failed to lynch/kill archangel or to accept peace. The peace/war struggle was a really nice twist. You're missing the point of my post entirely. When the participation level gets so bad, as it did in this game, I'm pretty much convinced that it is the root cause for both of the other things that you think we did wrong. You chided me a couple of times in the peanut gallery threads, but it isn't my fault that the ripples of my errors and the errors of the others who were actually trying to play were magnified into some waves that ended up carrying the Rebel boat into the victory harbor. There were supposed to be a lot of other ripples in the mix, which would potentially have changed a lot, including bringing about the still waters of peace.

Sorry if it came across like that, I definitely didn't mean to chide you or anyone else.
The first mention of you was that you were one of the active town (which is a compliment) and the other mention was me cheering town on to consider not lynching BillMc - since the peace option was the most likely way to win (the other way needed HM to hit Rebel and lynch perfectly afterward). The quote from you was just a trigger to post it, no offense meant.
So yes, the missing players did hurt as peeker backing up Bill or Pollux sharing his Capt. Pinkies investigation (IIRC he investigated him) would have made a big difference.

None taken either. I didn't think chide was a bad word? Rebuke would have been a better choice. Chide typically implies a harsh rebuke, whereas rebuke is broad-ranging and can imply gentle or harsh correction.

and all this time i though chides were the green parts of the little onions. yaknow, the top part of the scallop. if you slice 'em thin and mix with a little bit of dill and sprinkle on your herring it's delicious.

Thank you for a truly unique and fun game design, Hawkmod.
Thanks to my scum teammates, you were great and I enjoyed working with you.
And I'm sorry for my extended absence. There was *some* scum lurking going on, but mostly I went away and what I thought was little Internet access turned into none.

None taken either. I didn't think chide was a bad word? OK . English isn't my native tongue, but I thought 'chide' was more negative than that. Or at least when you tell a child he's doing something wrong or bad (with accompanying disapproving look). Neither which I meant to do, just commenting on the game with perfect information.
