Like a doctor? Why are you a protector instead of a doctor?

Yes -- like that though I obviously do not have a medical degree. I'm AFK for the next hour or so. I'd sure like to still be alive when I get back.

It looks to me like the deadline has passed. I'm not sure where the others are, so I'll assemble a votecount.
Night will be delayed until 7pm BST as a result. (That's a whole one hour extension.)

The Day was filled with talk about the two killings of the Night before. Surely Mister Blockey wouldn't have invited a serial killer to the party? And even a vigilante would have the common sense not to kill without proof? What kind of game was their host playing with them otherwise?
"Listen up everyone!" shouted Boopsie, "what happens happens. What we need to do is follow a winning strategy!"
Everyone looked surprise at the blond Bimbo - did she really think they would follow her advice?
"Look with the right attitude we can win this game and I know some tactical moves to make sure you don't get killed at night." continued Boopsie, a bit panicked as the rest closed in.
But she never finished as the Priestess showed she knew some tactics of her own that were quite final. "We can not trust anyone here - let the God sort you out. May He have mercy on your soul if we're wrong".
Looking through Boopsie's room, the rest found a gigantic Football Trophy - she did know how to build a solid defense and lead a team to victory...
Texcat: Boopsie, a town doctor, has been lynched.
It is now Night and the sun rises again around Friday 1 pm EST.

I have the feeling that Boopsie got railroaded yesterday.
Vote: FCoD
for not understanding what she meant when she claimed to be a doc.

It's likely you're right, but why pick on the propane salesman? He might be working off a bender.
I thought she meant Doc, but I asked anyway.

When she said protector instead of doctor (note how the mods referred to her) it implied something different than a doctor. Usually we say doctor for that role, not protector. Maybe her PM said it or maybe she just chose the word for some reason, but it seemed suspicious to me especially given the last minute nature of the claim after having already claimed something else.

It's not just the asking, it's the asking and the having his vote on her at Day end combo. It looks to me a bit like someone looking for a reason not to unvote. Also looking at the final vote count, Yoda didn't have nearly as many votes against him in the end as I thought he did. That is surprising, but maybe it's just the size of the game.

Well, that's an interesting twist Pede.
So...I guess we will have to wait until Sunday to see what Yoda has to say for himself, in the meantime I am actually ok with leaving my vote on FCoD, because if I am reading things correctly my money would be on them being scum together.

How do you know he would have been notified you tried to kill him? --FCOD I don't know for sure. However, given that I know that I was not told I was blocked, either he is invulnerable to night kills (and wasn't informed) or I was blocked (and I wasn't informed) or there's another doctor AND neither that person and Yoda weren't informed. I consider those possibilities much less reasonable than the idea that Yoda is lying scum.

Come out of the closet and say they protected Yoda last night? Really? NAF, you aren't really contributing much to the game except votes for spurious reasons, first on me, now on FCOD. Boopsies last minute revelation that she was a Dr. was horrible. She initially claimed town tie-breaker, what's up with that. Then with what? 15 minutes until deadline re-claimed as Protector not Dr. If I had been around I would have questioned that too! Shoot, can we put up a sticky that if you have an important town role you DO NOT WAIT UNTIL MINUTES BEFORE YOU"RE LYNCHED BEFORE CLAIMING!!! PLEASE. Unless I'm scum, then feel free not to claim at all. Take the secret of your powerful role to the grave with ya.In other news, Sister Coyote is contributing nothing. So for right now I'm gonna Vote: Sister Coyote

NAF, you aren't really contributing much to the game except votes for spurious reasons, first on me, now on FCOD. You say potato...I am trying to see if things will gel, I am looking for people to react. Right now we have a little bit of information and I am working with that information. There was a last minute swing away from Yoda and toward Boopsie. Boopsie turned out to be town. So I turn to one of the people that prompted that swing who also clearly saw that Boopsie had claimed. This person has been playing mafia a LONG time and I can't imagine that you see someone claim protector and not know that they are claiming to be a type of doctor. He wasn't incredulous. He didn't say, "well I see your claim but I don't care." He asked if a protector was "like a doctor?" and then did nothing. That's a BIG black mark because it is 1) a very strange response to the claim and 2) helping along the lynch of a claimed power role. So, he gets a vote so I can see who reacts, and how he reacts. It might not stay there, but does my explination of my thought process help? I am not, not contributing. I am here and present and playing, I just don't have a lot to work with yet but I am starting to get more.

Sir Quote, I believe that you are jumping to conclusions. The Moderator is not obligated to tell us whether a block, miss, or protect happened--in some games, they just resolve all of the Night actions and leave us to puzzle out what happened through the Morning reveal.
Occam's Razor does suggest that perhaps we are looking at someone with Night Kill immunity, but that seems a bit over-powered for a twelve-player mini.
How certain is your killing power, Sir Quote? Are you sure that it does not have a hidden luck-based mechanic?
(There is also the issue that this may be a gutsy bluff on Sir Quote's part--our numbers have been reduced drastically, and the scum can afford to trade one of their own in exchange for a mislynch.)

If we accept Quote's claim that he tried to kill Yoda last Night, but was blocked, how would this prove Hank Hill is Scum? I think you may be onto something with your vote, but I'm not seeing a link between the two. (Actually, I'm quoting one post and replying to another: your previous post where you mentioned the two might be working together. Sorry for the confusion. I slipped on the ice last Night and I'm a bit punchy.) And to STEVE: This Dent fella gets his jollies throwing out random votes at the start. I've caught his act before.

Obviously, you are innocent of any wrongdoing and foul play. But if you had had the opportunity Night 1 to--you know--pop someone in the jaw, who would you have hit? Pollux Oil or redskeesix?
