Ok, you got me. Some of my earlier statements are not entirely truthful. Heh.

I'm still betting only 3 Scum.
Could Skeezix have been converted to an alien win condition a la Crimson Glyph? Remember "Assume Nothing and Expect Everything."
So it may be like we're playing against Pleo as Scum and Skeezix as 3rd party with a vote charging power?
Hell, he may have even been our doctor at some point.
As it stands now though, I don't see him having any incentive to switch his vote. He basically gets to decide if he wants to win with Pleo or win with us. Because we'll obviously lynch him toMorrow when I get my investigative result on him.

OK, this was not a balanced game in my opinion. I'm a little pissed that I just wasted a month or so of my life playing it since Day Three. But only a little. And there is this, at least: I was right about something. We should have lynched Pleonast yesterDay, and no one would listen to me.Incidentally: the above quote was meant in a fun, silly spirit and not in an obnoxious ass spirit.

Day 6

Post by Red Skeezix on Dec 7, 2009 11:13:52 GMT -5
I've read what is going on. I'm considering changing my vote.
I don't understand the "full" disclosure from pleo, plus the needless slips over the last two Days. They don't make sense.
Isn't he a good player?
Why is he pushing for his own lynch so hard?
The bravado in which he is doing it is astounding.
I know that this is 11th hour thinking, but I don't want to switch it and make things worse, so I'm trying to think about what happens after I switch. There is still a couple of hours before the day end. I have a lunch meeting, but I'll be back here with time to spare and change my vote if I don't see anything completely abhorrent about doing so.

Post by storyteller0910 on Dec 7, 2009 11:21:19 GMT -5
I'm going to lunch. I have no idea what's going on. skeezix's failure to change his vote seems like an almost certain sign that he is Scum, but if he is and he has no intention of ever changing his vote, why not just say so and gloat as Pleo seems to be doing? Clearly, one way or another, the Scum believe there is a chance to lose this game. I don't know why they think this, but they do.
I'm going to eat a pretzel dog and see if I can figure it out.

If the game is still in play why is Cat so hot to end the Day early? FTR, I feel like I wasted my time.

Oh, come on. If you're telling the truth, then Town had: three vanillas (myself, sinjin, and skeezix), no alignment Cop, no Doctor, delayed role reveals (which in turn gave the Scum the power to fake good role claims with limited danger of being caught), an incredible number of anti-Town deaths, versus "only" four Scum (which would be perfectly reasonable in a normal setup with this many players). For Pete's sake, we only lynched two Town the whole game, and it was over for us at Dawn of Day Three (as you say, I guess we played to determine whether you or shaggy would win). A game where the Town is eliminated from win contention after two mislynches and on Day Three is not, in my view, a balanced game; a game where Town keeps playing for three more Days after that point is not, in my view, a particularly fun one.

Yeah, I got nothing. skeezix has been around all afternoon on and off, but hasn't posted and hasn't changed his vote, which leads me to believe that he is Scum along with Pleonast and the game is over. I'm heading out for home soon, so if the game has ended by the time I get back, good game to all, and thanks to Cat et al for moderating.

If he's some 3rd party vote charger, he might hope Pleo kills one of us ToNight, then it's 1-1-1 on Day 7. He can kill Pleo and maybe win?
