Interesting. A Smudge to someone no longer playing. agreed, meeko keep your comments out of the main thread. here is my problem ed. confirming me or skeez as town doesn't do shit for the other. i mean i guess if you confirmed skeez as town then i could not worry about that. but i have already said that if he is playing that good as pfk he deserves to win anyways. and i bet he would have the same observation about me. plus i don't put you in any way shape or form as town at this point. paul is or is not town but he appears to be emmasculated. i have no clue what you are, but apparantly you still have some power. i'd rather get rid of an unknown power rather than an unknow eunuch. but skeez gets the final say. unvote all

Day 4

Post by Red Skeezix on Mar 20, 2010 13:02:34 GMT -5
Ed, the problem with your decision to investigate a mason, is that it leaves a simple out. If you are scum you could kill nanook and then claim that the masonry is town.
I'd prefer it if you investigated someone else:
1. It's a greater net increase of information, about a player who we have no idea about as opposed to simply confirming that the masons are not third party.
2. It gives more weight to whatever you report of your investigation, if you are scum guessing that the masons are town is not a big leap, guessing that another player is town and not third party is a larger leap. More risk = more trust in your investigations.
3. The masons are not scum, this is mod confirmed to all masons, that one of the masons was third party I think was the catch. I know I've said this, and you have reason to doubt it, but if nanook goes down you investigating another player means that that we have 3 players tomorrow who are guaranteed to be not scum as opposed to two or we have outed the last scum. That is the weakening of the plan that I was refering to before.

NETA: "I know I've said this, and you have reason to doubt it, but if nanook goes down you investigating another player means that that we have 3 players tomorrow who are guaranteed to be not scum as opposed to two or we have outed the last scum."
should be:

Ed, the problem with your decision to investigate a mason, is that it leaves a simple out. If you are scum you could kill nanook and then claim that the masonry is town. I hadn't thought of that. Or I could investigate you and whoever the Scum is could kill Nanook. It would look the same to all of you.

OK, so what are the cases we have at this point?
Dirx pro-lynch: His power really looks like a Scum Strongman anti-lynch: It really looks like he killed FCOD
paul pro-lynch: His power too seems to be designed to overcome Town protections anti-lynch:
Ed: pro-lynch: I really can't comment here. I mean, as I recall, it's been said that I was blending in, then not blending in, then blending in again. I know I claimed a kill that didn't happen and wasn't otherwise explained. anti-lynch:
Luv pro-lynch: there was something about the Night 2 redirect that I can't recall. Did he redirect the block on meeko to Nanook? Redirector is often a Scum power and would compensate for the protections anti-lynch: he seemed to redirect everyone onto Sister resulting in her death
mental pro-lynch: anti-lynch:
Nanook pro-lynch: No tangible results anti-lynch: un-counterclaimed and Scum had an investigator.

Or I could investigate you and whoever the Scum is could kill Nanook. It would look the same to all of you. Right, and thats why if you're town you'd consider investigating someone else. Your results will be suspect if you claim to have investigated a mason. Your results will be less suspect if you investigated someone else.
