Hey folks. Cookies has been telling me about this Firefly Mafia experience, and I must say I'm intrigued. I'd be very interested in participating when it starts if you don't mind a complete newb. My only experience with Mafia is wondering what that strange group of people beating on the floor at Dragon*Con was doing. So, if you'll have me, count me in!

wtf is a guy, by the way. And he's the Florida one. I believe my other two friends are somewhat interested, but considering how sporadic my contact (ability to harass) is with them, I'd hate to hold up the game if we're good to go without them.

Also, I will probably email everyone when the game starts (for those of you who are not obsessivly checking the boards) There seems to be an option to email all members as an admin, so I am a gonna use it.

Again, it is looking like role assigments will be handed out Friday and Day 1 will start Monday. Kat and I have 1 detail we have to still make a decision on, and then we need to write the role PM's. But other then that, I think we are good to go.

Ok, I'm up to page 16 on the SD original mafia game and I went thru the whole (mostly) Asylum Lane game in anticipation of the Firefly game. But I'm still confused about a couple of the acronyms.

But what is 'sha'? I get that's knocking someone off, but where's it from?

And what the heck is WIFOM?

You've got me stumped with "sha". I don't recall it being used in any of the games I've played.

According to one of the Firefly Chinese translation lists, "sha" = "kill" or "to kill". Wasn't sure if that would cause any confusion or not, so I decided to put it in and see how often it cropped up and how many people went "WTF??" and then take it back out before gameday if it made things go kablooie.
