Yeaaaah...so...the thing is...you don't need to know firefly well to play the game...but some of the references might get lost on you. Mudders are mud farmers. Lowest of the low. They can be seen in such fantastic episodes of Firefly as Jaynestown. Go check it out!

Got it. I asked a co-worker yesterday if I can borrow his Firefly DVD set, but he forgot to bring it in today.

Oh, so someone else made the same mistake? That is a significant relief. Don't worry about it, they all thought I was female to begin with as well, so I thought I had better explain.

I'm posting again for two reasons. One a question: Is the pm icon on the left or on the right under the persons id. (I am so not familiar with this type of board). And two I've had trouble posting earlier, first it didn't know me and when I put in my name it said someone else already had that name . Let's see if this works

Let's see if this works To PM someone, you have to click on their name. There is then an option along the top to PM the person. What are you logging in with? If you try to log in with your display name, it won't work, you'll have to log in with whatever name you signed up with (and if the two are the same, then I'm baffled what would be the problem).

You should talk to ROOSH. He had a lot of trouble too. I think it might also be a cross between what browser you're working with and how your cookies are set up.
Read my topic in the Meta Game forum about the quotes: "All about the quote function".
Proboards gets a little zonky sometimes if you use browsers like Opera or Firefox. The best ones seem to be Internet Explorer, Netscape, or Quizilla (that spelled right)?

OK, this is trying the samey same on IE (which I hate BTW ) Oh, and I figured out the not letting me post bit. I was on IE and not signed in, DOH, checking out the {=} things on different browsers. Sorry for all the stupid posts people.

As for issues with the boards, yeah, I use Firefox and you gotta update to the latest version first just to make sure the Cookies don't overload (not you Darkside), but if it does happen, just manually go and delete your cookies then retry to gain access to the site again.
But if you do use firefox, you can't see anything w/ the fuzzy names and all that fun stuff that the IE users get to see. i've gotten used to it. But i do tend to get alot of my posts eaten, and I can't multiQuote.
Cei' la vie.

Why is everyone assuming I am female? I didn't think it was that feminine a name and I thought at least a few people would actually see what it was Ho Hum

Why is everyone assuming I am female? Cats are generally associated with women. At least that was my thought process. I did note your post, and correct myself now if I do slip. FCoD has the same problem but exaggerated - namely that his name uses the name for a female bovine, not the commonly used name for a male one. Speaking of FCoD, he had a question. A "mudder" is one's female parent, according to Alan Sherman. As distinct from a "fadder" who is one's male parent.

Cei' la vie. Thanks for the suggestions Roosh. I got rid of my cookies but still couldn't get the quote thing to work in opera. I guess I'll just surf with opera and multi-quote with IE. I needed to clean up my cookies anyway.
