With only two living Witches, you may either protect or investigate, but not both. Choose wisely.

In case your curious why I said we had nothing to report, it's because I didn't want to give the scum types a confirmed Town target. We need cross kills to win, and they already have enough Town people to pick off. No reason to give them more.
I think we have to protect tonight. At some point we'll pop out another investigation probably, but tonight is too soon.

I wasn't concerned. I was frustrated a bit by the near total silence on everyone's part for most of the Day, but I probably wouldn't have had anything to offer had I not been dead.
And if anyone even thought about looking at you crosswise for claiming nothing to report, it didn't show up amongst the silence.

Protect Nanook
Another question: The Vampires and Necromancer don't know who each other(s) are, correct? I'd guess they'd probably be trying to signal each other, perhaps by excerpting from the "Secret Power" part of their PM (assuming the Secret Power info was sent to all of them). Nanook and Eureka, is there a precedent for such signalling, e.g. in C3? Any chance we could find these signalling attempts if we looked carefully/cleverly enough?

The Vampires and Necromancer don't know who each other are. In a previous iteration of conspiracy, a vampire killed the necromancer immediately.
I believe in C3, Kat! was a vampire, and in real life she was going to the dentist a lot and talking about it in game. So Flying Cow of Doom (also a vampire) mentioned a trip to the dentist as a hint.
No one saw it.
In general hints of that sort are risky, because the likelihood that someone else will see it and pick up on it is at least as good as the odds that the person you want to see it will.
So sure, if there's signalling going on, there's a chance we could find it if we looked carefully/cleverly enough. There's probably a better chance we could find something NOT intended to be a message and blow it all out of proportion.
And I lack the type of attention to detail to have any interest in looking for such a signalling attempt.

The fact that vampires have killed necromancers in the past is actually a pretty good reason to believe that at least the vamps know who the necro is. Further, in the last Conspiracy that was part of the undead secret power, each vamp knew the name of one necro. I would expect no less in this game. They don't need to know who each other are, they can't kill each other and they can't communicate so there's no real advantage to it.
