This might be somewhat hypocritical coming from the guy who thought lynching Eureka was the best idea day 1, but the whole "voting because of what people wanted to be in the previous game". I've had three rounds to think about it and it still seems like the absolute worst idea possible. Admittedly I've been somewhat short on ideas myself since practically all of my initial suspects are now proven town, but what do you do. So the fact that Ed turned up Wolf means nothing to you? Look, the bottom line is that in typical games, roles are assigned randomly; but in THIS game roles were assigned NON-RANDOMLY. It's really not that hard to understand.

@sach: could we have even the briefest explanation of why you're voting who you're voting for. I don't know why you're voting for storyteller, I could make a guess, but I'd rather hear it from the horses mouth.

Right, and according to astrologists, the fact that the sun was aligned at a particular angle at the hour of my birth accounts for my phlegmatic and dreamy temperament. Sometimes things just aren't related. Answer me this: Ed's alignment has what to do with the role that a person chose before a completely different game? Also, didn't I answer this point back in day one? I quote:

I'm going to have a meeting Wednesday at noon, so I am going to preemptively delay Dusk until 2pm PT (5pm ET) on Wed Aug 18. But a more recent message in the Roster/Vote thread shows "the Day will definitely end Wed Aug 18 at 12 noon PT (3pm ET)." For the first time in the game, we have a contested Lynch, so we'd better get the timing clear. Vote: storyteller

I could make a guess, too. Based on my assumption: [col/or=Blue] Vote storyteller
Huh. That's news to me. I'm much more interested in your guess/reason than mine. Mine isn't really all that unusual. I'm voting for storyteller for broken promises.

I there a compelling reason not to vote for storyteller?

I suppose there isn't, but I can't think of a compelling reason not to vote for several of the living players, it doesn't mean I'm going to vote them without an explanation...

Honestly, I'd be fine with Nanook random.org selecting from the set of unknowns. By my estimate, we'd have a good shot at getting scum that way, nearly 75%.
There is no way we are going to be able to pick out the Necromancer based on gameplay (even if we had gameplay to analyze). The Necromancer doesn't have any additional information that Town doesn't. The Necromancer's play should be fairly consistent with most everyone else.
All we can do is take a shot in the dark and hope for the best. Also hope that the wolves realize that stopping the necromancer is in their best interest as well.

My vote is on duvsie and I don't see a pressing need to move it. That said, we're 3 hours from the end of Day and we're looking at a No Lynch. We need to pick a target and stick to them. Whether that person is Duvsie(current lead), Kat(second) or someone else entirely, we cannot afford a no lynch.

I'll bet all four frontrunners are scum! No Lynch would definitely be bad for Town. With votes on all four front-runners, I think I'm the townishest of everyone. ;D If we're not careful, scum can move their votes at the last moment to get a tie, and No Lynch. At least one or two Townies needs to keep their fingers real close to the "Post Reply" button in the minute before Dusk. (Don't count on me. The Dusk toDay comes at 4 am in my timezone. )

Uh, Pleonast, you may want to re-think that one. It is probably not an issue Today since I doubt scum will want to manipulate the vote in that manner and expose themselves so thoroughly, but later in the game it could be a huge problem --especially with interest in the game waning.

You know sach, right now you're voting for someone who is 5 votes from being lynch, and there is 2 hours. You planning to move your vote or just complain about the vote rules?

I wouldn't say that is so much "the plan" as much as it is merely going to be "the result"

I like you to, sach. Sorry, I couldn't get back here sooner. But it's claim time, so Nanook won't lynch me (on preview, too late, I guess):
I'm the Seer. Sach is Town (I won't reveal his role unless he okays it, but it's not Freemason). Mitchymoody was a Werewolf (generic Werewolf, not Alpha). Mister Blockey investigates as Freemason (sorry, Blockey, I thought about saying "Not Undead or Cabal" but that still would have given it away).

Well, with the ending of another Day, again my hope turns to "If scum's going to kill anyone toNight, hope they kill me". Here's hoping tomorrowDay the Seer, Witches, Detectives are still all alive and my now silly, useless role is laid to rest.
Not that I really think scum'll do that, but a man can hope, right.
This game is downright frustrating.
