Like Romala, I'll be away starting tomorrow running through Sunday some time.
I have no idea what the end of my meatspace December is going to look like.

I have the hots for Professor Snape. For your insolence, how does detention every Saturday for the rest of the semester sound? But not with me, with Argus. Professor Snape, would you mind testing these Liquid Luck Chocolate Cauldrons I made? I'm not sure whether I stewed it long enough.

Ulla, I hope you and your son both feel better RIGHT away. Okay, so if we're not going to find out points immediately, the unvoting if you're not on a bandwagon sounds like the right way to go. (I intended to do that yesterday anyway once the ice was broken on it, but I didn't get back in time.) Yeah, it's not as important if we are getting the points at the end of term. Do our votes for last month stand and we now have to unvote them or is it all set back to the beginning and we can vote afresh?

However the points from yesterMonth still count (just not available to you yet). The Mods are having a fun time calculating and color-coding all the numbers. So please feel free to start voting/unvoting again

Ok, so you like kicking Gryffindor when they're down? I agree because I'm not Gryffindor! So where are we: zuma: Lynch Gryffindor because I'm not Natlaw: Lynch Gryffindor but zuma might be one archangel: Lynch Natlaw because he's probably Gryffindor and am I not Only two Gryffindor players left. Known points: Romola, Cookies: -15 or +10 (they know for sure which it is) Natlaw: -15 or +10 with maybe -2 if zuma is the same House The rest (all voted, but no unvotes): +5 or -5 (but they don't know which yet) If an Inner Stickler voter is be Gryffindor their House is pretty far behind so I would expect them to try to lynch someone to get back up. If they're not (like me) they're ahead and there is no need to risk points by voting. So I won't vote unless needed to prevent my lynch. In which case I must vote it will be probably Cookies or Romola since if they're on my House it means we gained of points with the first lynch so a point loss by voting them won't hurt as much. I'm unlikely to vote archangel or zuma since they've stated not Gryffindor - but they could be lying (which made me vote zuma last Month).

Vote NatlawOn the belief that he is Gryffindor. A general note on tactics: this seems a pretty risky vote - if you're wrong you are down ten points. Voting someone different from last Month seems to be the most prudent move (still +3 if you're wrong with one of you votes, ignoring possible extra lynch points).

Err, not +3 but no points change (+5 from right -5 for wrong). +3 would be if you unvoted the wrong one.

This game is both hard and slow. Normally I'd say that was a positive thing but not for mafia. We need some information. Or discussion. Or something. Does anybody have any ideas of what we can discuss to try to get some information out there?

Sure, if you could announce which House you were sorted to that would be great . The problem is that there simple is very little information and most votes are random until next Month were we can start connecting dots between votes and House points. But even then there is little to discuss in public except maybe alliances or talking about/create WIFOM.

Yeah, without more solid data to leverage against, I don't know how much new discussion we can expect. The only solid information we have is that Gryffendor is down one warm body and that Inner Stickler may or may not have been voting and advocating in line with trying to advance the Gryffendor win condition or bluffing in an attempt to fake the appearance of another house.
Whether or not the mob (or individual members thereof) will continue to try to exploit Gryffendor's current handicap is another vat of wine as to whether those opinions betray authentic alliances for or against Gryffendor.

Had you sniveling, insolent children paid more attention to Professor Trelawney, perhaps you could divine the current house standings.

Vote Romola because I don't want to be lynched with a single vote and not sure if I'll be back before the end of the Month.

Huh. Well, this is tricky, isn't it?
Vote moody mitchy.
Still no reason for it other than hoping to gain data when we eventually get a tally.

The chances of me voting for someone in my own house twice are much lower if I vote for two different players than if I vote for the same one, so for that reason, I will not be voting for archangel. Obviously, I would prefer to vote for someone not from my house. And right now, I think the best chance of that happening is:
Vote: Natlaw
I agree that until we get some information about points, the votes are pretty much random.
If I figure correctly, there were 369,600 different ways the houses could have been assigned, though now that we know Inner Stickler was Griffindor, that leaves 92,400 possibilities. So without some numbers, we really are shooting in the dark, since no one has perfect information to use or to slip up with.

Looks like I made it back in time to see myself lynched. Trouble is there isn't much I can do to defend myself. Plain revealing just invites all other houses to get maximum points (though not much time left so not many will get a chance to). My house stand could lose points as well though. Two out of eleven from my House while four out of eleven are voting for me.
I'll take to odds and keep my mouth shut.

Unless you are very good at scattering subtle HP breadcrumbs which are only detectable by your own House.
