The town is doing fine. Day one's a crapshoot. They're getting some relevant information now, and some of them are on the right track. Have faith.

I have faith, I am just worried about them. So helpless. I now fully understand why the general advice for Day 1 is vote randomly. They would be fairing much better now had they just done that.

Hm. So Dio (Mr Universe) tried to watch Hal (River Tam), who was apparently in hiding and untargetable.
But didn't you say that Jubal had found River already?

I'm thinking that they might actually get close to lynching.

Wow, well the town is going to be disheartened in the morning. The scum haven't picked their kill yet, but the vig and SK are each taking out a major town power role toNight.

Hey all. I've been slacking on the Firefly reading this past week. Reading the forbidden notes is much easier than slogging through 860 posts of in-game thread. I'll try and catch up. At least it's night now.

At least it's night now. oh sach...you um...well see the board kinda hiccuped. The thread hit 1400 posts and well...the board didn't like it. Most of Day 1 is gone unless you are searching for the posts by poster (in which case they seem to still be there.) I should try to contact proboards and see if they can do anything.

There is a rather hillarious (to me) discussion of millers going on on the scum boards.
Seems that when I combined the roll of miller and role blocker in M2 (which is something I did only because I knew I wasn't going to include that role in the game) they became forever linked. So the scum is now wondering if there is a pro town roleblocker that reads as scum, and if their own role blocker might not read as town.

1400 posts? Wow. How many were on Day one of the Cult game? Perhaps it is best for me that I'll lose a chunk of the day. When I get to that point I'll ask for the fill-in... Clip Show!
Actually, I thought the roleblocker+miller combo was brilliant. Miller roles suck because there is nothing to be done to validate the role. But the roleblocking half gave the possibility of demonstrating the power and therefore demonstrating town alignment. I thought it was great how that worked out.

Oh animal crackers, the missing posts are from the middle of the day. Oh well. From what I gather Roosh (who is my new hero) name claimed? Anything else of significance I should know?

Oh animal crackers, the missing posts are from the middle of the day. Oh well. From what I gather Roosh (who is my new hero) name claimed? Anything else of significance I should know? Oh lord yes. Roosh name claimed, then role claimed with a fake role. (We are still not sure why). Dnooman name claimed correctly, then role claimed (possibly vice versa). Mad looked like he was going to go up to lynch and role claimed, but didn't want to name claim as he felt it would give the other mason away. The town forced him into name claiming. Then Dio got about 5 votes and role claimed and name claimed. There was a long debate about the majority lynch setup, the value of name claims, if masons existed in this game or not. Along the way Mad outed the idea that there were only 2 masons that he then tried to cover up. Somewhere in there Dotchan name claimed and people got suspicious because she was one of the filler character names that wasn't actually in the show. But they decided to let her live because they weren't sure. They started to lynch CatInASuit who name claimed Wash (a major character in the show) when he had 13 votes on him and less then 18 hours before the lynch deadline. THEN there was a debate about whether or not the town should try for a lynch at all with Storyteller writing a neat little manifesto as to why a no lynch was better then a lynch of someone most people thought was town. (Dotchan being that someone) Dotchan amassed 14 votes (with many abstaining feeling that it was better to have a no lynch) and with literally 30 seconds left in the Day Pygmy dropped the hammer on her. It was very exciting and its a real shame that so much of it is gone.

Yeah, it was beautiful.
At this point, I am sorta hoping that atarus buys it, so Roosh can smack himself for the false claim.

I had been planning on writing any color on his character similarly to what happened to his namesake's character* in Bushwhacked, but I so have to go along with what he's come up with. I think he's come up with some good stuff.
*The un-named Survivor of the Reaver attack who went Reaver himself, played by Branden Morgan.

The "Crazy Townie" was JSexton's role in the last game. He gets to kill a player of his choice when he dies. In this game, it's a Reaver, because I wanted a Reaver in the game. Roosh claimed that he had a 50% chance of killing anyone who targeted him for a Night kill. Which, of course, is not his power.

So based on the musings threads am I correct in seeing that the Vig targetted a Mason (who is now dead), the SK targetted the Vig (who for some reason is not dead) and the scum targetted the SK?
So this was very nearly a repeat of M5 with a dead Mason and dead Vig on night two. Except someone seems to have protected the Vig or blocked the SK?
What a weird coincidence. So much for the Masons.

Well, briefly, the Alliance targeted Greedy Smurf as their Toughguy's bonus kill...because they thought he might be either the Doctor or an investigative role. And also blocked him, which kept his target alive.
Ironically, their own standard Mafia-kill target was...the same as the SK's unsuccessful attempt: Jayne the Vig, activating his "snitch" power.

I was wondering why Jayne was still alive... (I know who that character is because I've been reading their threads first) So, why don't you assign dotchan CarieD's role? Seems like it would lift her spirits and, should she get lynched again, make future players wary of lynching her... Hi, everybody!

Wow, well the town is going to be disheartened in the morning. The scum haven't picked their kill yet, but the vig and SK are each taking out a major town power role toNight. ... but the Diomedes doesn't seem to have realized the true nature of his power. And someone else chose someone else over me and was actually lucky in his/her choice (is this an "open" thread? Because of what I've read in this thread I kinda have the impression note everyone who reads this knows everything about the setup)

Well, I knew perfectly well what it meant. Their own fault for not reading my mind!* *I had to deal with this mindset twice at work today. It's more fun being on this side of it. ... I was about to remark on that curious "you win when you are killed" condition win condition. But then someone ( dnooman?) cleared that point up. It doesn't seem to have any bearing on the game, whatsoever.
