I'm still thinking the chance at lynching them both in a tie is worth a shot, but I don't really care which one goes first.

I suppose it depends on whether a tie-breaker flip that results in lynching both counts as a singly lynch event or two with respect the the lynch-blocking power, but I don't know if the mods will answer that question as it speaks to the confirming the existence of a lynch-blocking power in the game.
But if we forced a tie and the coin flip landed on lynch both, and only one of them actually dies, at least we'd no longer have the lynch-stopper to deal with AND one of them would be dead.
It is risky yes. But we could get lucky with that coin flip...

If there were a lynch-stopping power in the game, and we had a tie, and the lynch-stopper was used, and both players would have ended up lynched if the lynch-stopper had not been used, would both lynches be stopped or only one?

We've had 6 nights so far this game, and with marcel's massblock, I think it's safe to assume that iskaral's only had 5 nights to tag people. There are 14 of us still alive, minus iskaral is 13. I'm assuming the population of tagged players must be greater than the untagged for her to win? So she would need 8 tagged and she currently has 5 or less, if she tagged someone who subsequently died, right? So do we really need to worry about her winning in the night? Or have I misses something?

PLEASE! VOTE FOR DEATH OF RATS! 1. If we don't she will stop Iskaral's lynch. Why wouldn't she? 2. If we do, she may not be allowed to stop her own lynch. Even if she can, we don't lose anything, it will be the same as stopping Iskaral's lynch. 1. She didn't stop Gir!s lynch. That means she either chose not to or couldn't. I assume she knew Gir! was PFK if she's truthful about knowing who-targeted-who of the PFKs. 2. I see no reason to believe her she has restrictions on her power (it weak as it is as a PFK power) and she simply chose not to safe Gir! Either one-shot or not stop-own-lynch could be fair. We don't know anything about the specifics of either PFK power so I just assume Todays lynch will be stopped but I believe Iskaral is more dangerous in advancing the PFK win condition(s). Tie would only be worth it if both lynched/only stopped once which I consider unlikely: stopped - no tie: no deaths not stopped - no tie: one deaths Average 0.5 death stopped - no lynch: no deaths not stopped - no lynch: no deaths stopped - both lynched: no deaths/one death not stopped - both lynched: two deaths 0.25 * 0 + 0.25 * 0 + 0.25 * 0 + 0.25 * 2 = 0.5 average death 0.25 * 0 + 0.25 * 0 + 0.25 * 1 + 0.25 * 2 = 0.75 average death

As I see it, if SisC thinks that the PFK's can still win - then she will stop the lynch.
If she believes the PFK's can't win, then if she stops the lynch she just drags out the game.
If we think that lynching either of them is effectively a no-lynch, then I would be fine with lynching Elizabeth - who I suspect is the scum godfather. her play is just to scummy. (and SisC wont stop an Elizabeth lynch)
SO if we lynch Elizabeth today, then toNight I investigate Story, Zedd investigates Story, and if we're right - we know that Meeko is Scum, and Story, SisC, Normal are PFK - and then they may conceed as its just mechanical as we lynch them. (or Ed tries to kill them).

And I'd hate to waste a lynch Day and maybe get down to where we can lose to the Scum because we can't lynch

because we make her burn her no lynch? i mean at some point they have to die. and unless your "device" suddenly becomes infallible then any potential remaining scum just start picking off townies one by one. game fucking over (in about a year or so). Making her burn her no-lynch is better than trying to lynch her so that she can never use it? really? well it is certainly better than no lynch.

4 Iskaral Pust: Batman (21), Curious George (34), Homicidal Maniac (37), Nordom (39)

but I believe Iskaral is more dangerous in advancing the PFK win condition(s). That would be incorrect. I am harmless. I need to mark everyone who is not me. Think about it, you'll realize it's true -- there's no other justification for having PFKs win collectively than by making each individual win condition as difficult as possible. You should also realize I'm saying this not for your benefit but for Death of Rats' -- she's the one with the lynch protection. It's her decision as to whether it is worth using it on me.

Oh also! I totally did have a posting restriction all this time. The penalty was being outed to a random player, but that hardly matters now. I still feel a bit obligated, though, so will provide the promised Iskaral Pust quotes at some point.

SQUEEK (As there are only you and me, I think it's kind of a moot point and will be blowing my lynch protection unless everyone else decides to vote Elizabeth or Meeko, because I'm vindictive and petty that way. And based on the current vote count, I'll be blowing it to protect myself, which is even more pointless than protecting you since I can't actually do anything.) SQUEEK (Or maybe I know cookies wasn't really at the batcave last night because she took some sort of action against me.) SQUEEK? (Speaking of which, masons, was anyone at the batcave last night? <font style="font-size: 12px;"> SQUEEK (As there are only you and me I think Story is PFK as well SQUEEK (I would, if I were Scum, be quite happy that the Town's Investigator was spending the bulk of his time hunting PFKs instead of trying to find Scum. But, you know. You and I, we've been around this bend already once this game.) SQUEEK (Although do I find it moderately amusing and more than a little contradictory on your part that both you and I are basing our arguments for Elizabeth being Scum despite Zedd's result at least in part on her trying to get Town to look at PFKs rather than Scum as the primary threat to Town. And the longer I look at that sentence, the more I think it doesn't make a lick of sense, but whatareyougonnado?)

(I would, if I were Scum, be quite happy that the Town's Investigator was spending the bulk of his time hunting PFKs instead of trying to find Scum. But, you know. You and I, we've been around this bend already once this game.) Ah yes, buddy, galadriel, dex, I;ve been wasting my time eh? At best there are 2 more scum - probably meeko and elizabeth; so at this point, scum are in no danger of winning - assuming a standard scum wincon of out numbering non-scum. By your own admission, the pfk's can win as a team - and you are dependent on one or more of the pfk's achieving some goal. So since we (the town) don't know what the pfk wincon actually is, a pfk win is a greater risk at this point.

SQUEEK (Iskaral is unlikely to survive to meet her wincon -- and no, I don't know for absolutely certainsure what it is either -- and we've both said so. If she can't win, I can't win and by extension neither can Gir or The Narrator. Barring the redirector deciding for some unknown reason to shift an attack from one or the other of us, I think it's pretty safe to say that we're no more of a threat numbers-wise than Scum are, and you know who we are; neither of us have bothered to deny it.)
SQUEEK (So, I dunno, maybe it's just me, but I'd set about unearthing the unknown Scum -- or at least confirming that you're right about Meeko -- the living Meeko, as opposed to Meekowhowasamime, and I'm pretty sure but not 100% convinced that you are -- and we're both right about Elizabeth and that there are only two more Scum before I bothered with the known threats.)

Still the birds in hand are more surefire way to success. Batman: why double up on the investigations? Vote Day EndDeath of Rats has made it clear she'll stop either PFK lynch so using it up at least doesn't leave surpises in the future (if it is one shot). In fact the 304 votes might means it's already in effect. Mods: please confirm that vote count, thank you.I agree with her that hunting scum is better once the PFK are truly powerless (as in Iskaral death, Rats without a block). So we could keep the Rat around as pet while we do that .
