However, I do strongly suggest you carry out this experiment tonight. If it comes to tomorrow and you have nothing to share but yet more vague claims, you may well be lynched. I've been answering questions, and trying to ask useful questions of my own. If I saw reciprocation from you, I'd be more likely to think we're on the same team. Here's a simple question for you. How many Snacks appeared in your In-box this morning? I'll answer the question if you do. At this point, I'd almost be content even with just a token partial answer, like "an odd number", or "less than 10." And what if someone else had asked? You're answering the question to the entire game's worth of players either way. And I am giving information to the entire game's worth of players, either way, information I have no means of knowing how valuable it is, and to whom. Your bargain is no bargain, and as things stand I will not play.

Who would you have investigated? To me, it makes sense to investigate someone who claims un-prompted. --FCOD I believe Mental Guy's description of why he claimed when he did; it makes sense to me in the context of what was going on at the time, what Ed said, how Mental Guy himself approached Ed prior to Ed's claim, etc. Your claimed investigation works only on a very shallow level: X claims umprompted, X must be investigated. The game's more complicated than that. I respectfully decline to answer your first question. But it would not have been Mental Guy.

There's a half hour left, FCOD. If you're a townie, please name some suspects.

Did you actually confirm with the Mod exactly what your role was, and what your results meant, or did you just assume because it "seemed obvious"? The PM I received stated "MentalGuy (Town) did not leave the Hotel last night". I did not feel that my role needed any additional clarification so I didn't ask for it. --FCOD So, your power is an "Alignment Investigator". And you received a result informing you that your target is Town. But when you made your claim, you failed to include this bit of information, telling us only that MentalGuy "did not leave the Hotel". You failed to include the single piece of information that was actually relevant to the rest of us, instead simply telling us something that had no apparent meaning. That seems like quite an oversight. I'm only pointing all of this out on the extremely slim chance that you are actually telling the truth, so that others can learn from your mistake and not repeat it.

Previously, in my final hour I left all the information I could think of that could benefit town. As I don't see any votes changing yet with an hour left WHY isn't FCOD doing that? (true a last minute post is possible if this doesn't work...but) It just 'smells funny' What other information could I leave, LOL? --FCOD I have yet to read your explanation of why you chose Mental guy as your first choice. Your observations on SCUM and TOWN candidates might be helpful

If FCOD's claim is genuine, it may deserve a place in the record book as most muddled claim in the history of Mafia. Unvote: guiriVote: FCODI've been answering questions, and trying to ask useful questions of my own. If I saw reciprocation from you, I'd be more likely to think we're on the same team. You ask for a demonstration. I've stated the demonstration will require at least 1 witness. The witness(es) must be willing to answer questions. Since you're the skeptic I thought you might want to be the witness. I was wrong. I'm finding our "conversation" frustrating, especially since you're unwilling to offer even any sort of "odd number" partial answer.

I do not have time to go back and check (handy this timing again) so I'll ask does anyone recall FCOD showing any favour to Mental Guy's claim AFTER he supposedly investigated ( or what ever that was ) him? Even a crumb?

@ GnarlyCharlie: Thanks. @ Renata: This may sound really strange coming from me, but I actually agree with what you said in post #310: I may have mentioned it before -- oh, once, twice, maybe three or twenty times -- how little I enjoy decisions coming down to who has a comma in the right place in their role PM and who does not. It's not fun. I hated to bring it up, and if it had been the only thing I had noticed, I wouldn't have said anything.
