The last post by Red was on Day 3: Sorry I missed all of yesterday, but I got busy, and forgot to come and play. Given that Inner was the MPP and he was very, very quick to defend me. I think that I am on his recruit list. Either that or he was going for an I told you so vibe. I'm almost tempted to push for my own lynch at this point. I was pretty sure he had gone completely awol, but he signed in last night at 11:30 pm so he's definitely checking the boards. If he was still town and didn't want to play the very least he could do was protect Drain last Night. Vote Red Skeezix

I think I've been podded". That would just be silly.

What makes you think TexCat didn't investigate Red N1? Texcat killed night 3 Dirx, killed night 2. Texcat could only detect Pods, not recruits. Even if she investigated Red night one that would had meant nothing if he was a still a recruit and not a pod. Dirx could have vaccinated Red night one and prevented his becoming a pod but he was killed night 2. So no vaccine for Red on subsequent nights. What am I missing here?

Would the first person sampled/recruited who would become a pod night one appear as a sampled or a pod night one? IE what was the order of operations night one? Podding or investigation?

Would the first person sampled/recruited who would become a pod night one appear as a sampled or a pod night one? IE what was the order of operations night one? Podding or investigation? If, on a given Night, a sampled player was to be podded, they would investigated as a podded person, but not as a sampled person. That is, if someone were selected to be a pod on Night 1. The Town Drunk would get a result that they were not sampled. The Psychoanalyst would get a result that they were podded. Order of actions: 1. Podding of scheduled recruit 2. Everything else

If Texcat and Drain Bead both check on Red like they were asked to on N1 Red would have been detected as a pod or a recruit. Drain Bead did and we are assuming the texcat did as well and since texcat didn't tell us that Red had changed sides it is pretty safe to say he is town at this time. Vote GuiriYesterDay I was debating between guiri and peeker, obviously I choose the wrong one. Sorry about that peeker.

As Deni says, Drain investigated Red N1 so, if he's a pod, he can only have been podded N1. On D2 and D3 TexCat said she hoped that both the TD and Psychoanalyst had investigated Red and was therefore assuming he was neither podded nor sampled. She didn't have the chance to claim officially but I'm taking her comments as a statement that she investigated Red, as I've previously mentioned, so he's 99% confirmed Town. And that makes me ask why you are voting him. Sure, he's not helping us and his non-participation is a liability to us if we're at lylo but I can't see Texcat making those statements if she didn't investigate him. Did you think you could get an easy bandwagon rolling against the lurking non-participant? He's probably alive because you fear he's self-protecting, so you're trying to lynch him instead and hoping there's enough paranoia among Town. Vote Sinjin

YesterDay I was debating between guiri and peeker, obviously I choose the wrong one. Sorry about that peeker. You voted Peeker D3 too and, as far as I can tell, you only mentioned me by name once before, along with Bill and Dirx, when surmising who you would choose as recruits. What do you think of Sinjin's vote on Red?

I mentioned before that I was having a hard time understanding this game and I still am. What I was missing was that I forgot that Drain said she investigated Red Night 1. That's why I asked "What am I missing?" And in retrospect it makes sense that Red would protect himself rather than the unrecruitable TD Drain. Sorry for the smear Red.

Hello! hello! does town want to give up the ghost? I admit I haven't been around much, but is this it? The end of mafia as we know it? I'm thinking there are only one or two scummies left.
I"m not one, Red is not one that leaves:
3. guiri 4. Paranoia 5. Silver Jan 6. Deni 7. Pollux Oil
Could we all at least vote for one of these? Vote for me if you will. I'm just a piss poor player in this game. But at least vote, please.

I'm here.
The non-voters are Paranoia, PolluxOil and Red. I have this mental image of Red lurking in the corner waiting to save the day.
It would help if each of us listed our top two or three candidates with reasons why we think they are pods.
I'll post some detailed analysis later but the general drop in participation after D2 makes analysis quite hard. - you dropped a vote on Paranoia D2 and disappeared for the rest of the Day Inner got lynched. You promised to vote D3 and disappeared the rest of the Day Sister got lynched. D4 you voted Pollux, agreeing with Peeker's case that he went very quiet after Inner was lynched, and then switched to Peeker, agreeing with my case. ToDay you start by voting Red and then revert to PolluxOil - Paranoia voted Sister D3 and was voted by Sister D2 and D3. I still think his vote indicates he was not podded N1 or N2, and Sister's votes indicate he wasn't sampled. I wonder if his self-sacrifice vote was some sort of a ploy. D4 he starts with a vote on me for being uber-creepy and then switches to Peeker for not being killed after leading the Inner lynch. ToDay his only post could either be a smudge on Red or idle curiousity, I can't tell. - SilverJan was voted by Inner D2 in self-defence, an indication that she is not on his team. She didn't vote D3, voted Pollux D4 without giving any reasoning short of quoting Sinjin's vote. ToDay she's accused Paranoia of trying to cause confusion. - Deni voted Inner D2 agreeing with two different cases, still an indication she was not podded N1. D3 she voted Peeker for being subdued, D4 she voted Peeker referring to PolluxOil's post. ToDay she's voted me without any reasoning. - PolluxOil switched his D2 vote to lynch Inner, an unlikely bus for a N1 recruit. D3 saw a single post, no vote buy a broken promise to review. D4 he defends himself to Peeker, elaborates on the case against Peeker and votes him. Nothing yet D5.
My top suspects are you, PolluxOil and Deni, but I'd like Paranoia and SilverJan to post their suspicionss and for Paranoia to explain his comment earlier.

It was idle curiosity, really.
I don't get how I was causing confusion earlier because it was kind of odd to me that Red didn't die before Drain.
And then someone (was it guiri) reminded me that the sheriff can self protect and to be frank saving myself forever and ever is something I could see myself do in red's situation. Add in that the TD checked Red and apparently Texcat checked Red n1 (if guiri's conjecture is correct) then I don't see any point in lynching him.

You're right I barely mentioned you. I have recently become aware that I don't communcate what I am thinking into the game. Obviously an area I need to work on. The truth is I feel quite lost a lot and don't always know what to say. My debate yesterDay was between peeker and guiri like I said but never verbalized. Obviously I chose wrong. I have gone back through yesterDay's thread. Peeker was convinced that if there were 2 scum left it was polluxoil and guiri. More to the point, it was polluxoil's post that helped with my final silent debate. Peeker's final comment's were, "at least I have given town the remaining scum". Now knowing that peeker was indeed town and that he plays the game obviously better that I do. I am going to heed his advice. I know I pissed peeker off in this game because he thinks I am an idiot I am not going to disagree with that because I haven't been a good team player. I am going to try to change my game play to become more involved. I think it is interesting to note that sinjin also pissed peeker off with her vote. Peeker never thought she was scum just not voting right. At this time I am putting sinjin on my town list. Guiri you are on my "is he town?, he seems like town but he is good enough to convince me he is town if he were scum... I don't know list" Red is also on my town list. This leaves Paranoia and Silver on my "I don't know" I am going with the thoughts peeker left behind. unvote guiri

People are voting for me because of peeker's argument, which is basically two things. One, I stopped posting on Day Three because I got Podded and gave up or some nonsense since I had just voted for Inner. Two, I wasn't Nightkilled yet, but I had voted for Inner, so I must be scum. If there is anything
Peeker turned up town, yes, but don't turn his argument into a false positive just because he was town. Townspeople can be suspicious of the wrong people. I'm aware peeker is a good player, but he makes mistakes, too, just like we all made a mistake when we voted to lynch him.
Anyway, I'm going to put my vote down.
Vote: Silver Jan
Day 3: She posted the first dayish of the Day, didn't vote, didn't come back and didn't vote for anyone. Day 4: She posted the first dayish of the Day, voted for me without an explanation, didn't come back for the rest of the Day. ToDay: She posted the first dayish of the Day, voted for Paranoia, hasn't been back for the rest of the Day.
Day One and Day Two she was pretty active for the whole Day, not just at the beginning. This is pretty consistently skittish behavior. I know Inner voted for her Day Two, but since the vote was between the two of them, I could see him doing that to gain town cred when she turned up sampled.

It was nice to get an answer from Paranoia and it looks as if he wasn't deliberately trying to sow confusion, that was just the way I interpreted his comment. Unvote ParanoiaI am aware of my low participation in this game but apart from being away on a Game Farm with no internet connection I have been feeling a bit morose. It's not much fun to find out that someone you like thinks you're a total idiot and don't deserve to play the game, so you could say that I have been sulking I still think that Peeker could be right about Pollux Oil being scum and I voted for him that reason yesterday. That, combined with his vote for me today after I gained some Town Cred by Inner makes me think that he has been podded or recruited or whatever. I also tend to go a lot on gut instinct in this game which I find hard to verbalise, so , like Deni, I will have to work on this part of my game. Vote Pollux Oil

Two of my top three suspects are voting my third suspect piggybacking on a case that can be applied to Sinjin D3 who managed to completely avoid the cases against the two known scum. If there's only one pod left in the game, it's most likely PolluxOil. If there are two, I suspect Sinjin and Deni. We know there have been no failed recruits and, by now, no delayed recruits. The original game had 5 scum for 17 players, this game has only 2 fewer players so I strongly doubt there are 2 fewer scum. Add in that the TD checked Red and apparently Texcat checked Red n1 (if guiri's conjecture is correct) then I don't see any point in lynching him. Who do you suspect? At this time I am putting sinjin on my town list. Why? I know Inner voted for her Day Two, but since the vote was between the two of them, I could see him doing that to gain town cred when she turned up sampled. Why sampled? Could she not have been recruited N1?

Why sampled? Could she not have been recruited N1? She could have been Podded Night One, yes, but my theory on voting for her is that her behavior changed between Day Two and Day Three, so I'm guessing she got Podded on Night Two, so she would have turned up sampled when lynched. And, of course, she turns up to conveniently change her vote to me toDay.

Alright I'm going to bite the bullet on this: REGARDING SILVER JAN: I do not suspect them. Inner isn't going to pick lynchbait for Pods. Peeker was kinda proof of this.
Sinjin is entirely a possibility, as is Guiri.
Guiri is uberscum and knows how to plan and manipulate events well ahead of time. Sinjin has been pinging odd to me.
I'm more inclined to think guiri is town ( but am in no way clearing him) because he could have very easily rode the "omg td died before red did aaaa lynch" thing.
While Sinjin tried to. My money is on Sinjin bussing Pollux right now for a better endgame.
Vote: Pollux
Lets test this.
