There may be more than one killing role in addition to the Scum Night Kill and the Day Lynch. There may be Daytime Powers. I suspect the body count will be higher than one per Day/one per Night. But I could be very wrong. I'm actually a little worried. There can't be more than two vigs, given what Idle said at the beginning of this thread, and if one or both of them end up dead early-ish, then the killrate of this game is going...to...be...very...slow. For a profusion of first-time players especially, I'd think that a higher than normal amount of vigs would be the best way to go with a very large player pool. But we'll see! ;D

With dozens of active players, many of whom will be acting suspiciously, you're likely to get a free pass if you're merely on vacation. (Perhaps I should schedule some vacation times myself.) Are we allowed strategic interrogations during Day 0? If so, I ask annetastic which Player her avatar image is directed at.

Most games take 2-4 months...MAYBE... if that. I'll try to make this one be over in about a month or two. But you will not have to be on EVERY DAY to play. This isn't a game that requires you to be on all the time....it's one of those "Just try to check in once a day" type of games.

We have 61 players. With one lynch per Day, and one scum-kill per Night, we lose two players per cycle. Let's say there's X scum players initially. If we never lynch scum, we lose two town per cycle. The number of remaining town would be (61 - X - 2*M) after M mislynches (lynch of town instead of scum). It's game over when the number of town is the same as the number of scum: X == 61 - X - 2*M, so we have M == 30.5 - X mislynches. A simple table 5 Scum => 25 Mislynches 6 Scum => 24 Mislynches 7 Scum => 23 Mislynches 8 Scum => 22 Mislynches 9 Scum => 21 Mislynches 10 Scum => 20 Mislynches 11 Scum => 19 Mislynches 12 Scum => 18 Mislynches 13 Scum => 17 Mislynches 14 Scum => 16 Mislynches 15 Scum => 15 Mislynches 16 Scum => 14 Mislynches 17 Scum => 13 Mislynches 18 Scum => 12 Mislynches 19 Scum => 11 Mislynches 20 Scum => 10 Mislynches I have no idea how this game is balanced, but my rule of thumb for a fair game is the number of scum and the number of mislynches should be about the same. So I'd guess about 14-16 scum. For new players, here's how to understand "mislynches". Each time we lynch a town player instead of scum (that is, we make a mistake), the number of mislynches we have decreases by one. If we ever run out of mislynches, we're at "lynch or lose". That means if we don't lynch scum, we lose the game. So by saying we currently have 15 mislynches (or whatever the number actually is), it means we can make 15 mistakes when we lynch. Town : Be guarded against what you say. If you are in doubt here, it is sufficient to simply say "Confirmed". We don't want you to come out and say "I have this power" ......That will end your game real fast, and you won't have a good time. Don't tell me how to play and, even more, don't tell me whether or not I'm having a good time. I have a power. I'm not going to say which one--only scum have a need to know that. To answer the inevitable questions/accusations, here is why I do this: some players (like Meeko and others) like to play mafia very cautiously. They keep their secrets until the end. If there are multiple Scum teams, though, the total number of Scum could vary. Cross kills become possible as well as the possibility of multiple Town deaths per Night. It provides for more swing than a straight one-Scum team game.
