YAY for a scum kill...now this makes me rethink Pleo as Textcat voted for Pleo last minute to tip the vote... Agreed on this. Pleo, I do believe I owe you an apology (if you are detective that near lynch must have been incredibly frustrating). Does anyone think that as the number of scum go down the number of nightkills go down, or do we think we're going with a fixed rate of two or three scum nightkills here? At any rate, depending on what happens Tonight we may have a decent-sized pool of confirmed (or merely "confirmed") town tomorrow. I'd like to see us start working like a team and systematically deal with the unknowns.

YAY for a scum kill...now this makes me rethink Pleo as Textcat voted for Pleo last minute to tip the vote... The vote was 9 to 6 with two hours left when Texcat moved her vote. In the case where Pleonast and Texcat are both Scum, by then it was pretty clear a Scum was going down. Wouldn't it be very logical for these Scum to vote each other, hoping for Town cred?

Going to read back, I did not get a scum read on texcat and see where I went wrong. Frustrated, this game is hard! Glad scum was caught! Interested to see what happens over the night, hoping for a lot of info to come to light... Investigations, how many kills,

Could be, but coupled with the other evidence it seems more likely that Pleo is Town and Texcat was hoping she could swing the vote. There were only three votes separating them and there have been a lot of last-minute votes.

It may have been 9 to 6 when the vote was moved but in the end the vote was 9 to 8 Texcat's vote was the 7th, and crys's vote was the 8th. I voted crys in Day 5, and again, her Day 5 last minute vote against Pleonast added more suspicion, particularly after I have pointed out that she only talked about Pleonast/Meeko throughout the game. She did not even mention Texcat's name once at all. I could have been wrong, but if I survive Night 5 and there is no other reason showing that I should vote otherwise, I think I will vote crys again in Day 6.

Go ahead and vote me again lol. Sorry my busy work schedule makes you think I'm scum. Sent from my SCH-I405 using ProBoards Well, there is no need to feel sorry. In fact, I don't care if you are busy or not, because it has nothing to do with this game. You are not the only player in this game who has a busy real life. You are free to emphasize your busy real life though. Now, for the record, I did not vote you because of your busy work schedule, and I don't know why you think that way. Either you read my post and I am such a bad writer that my reasons are unreadable, or you did not read.

No I read your post and I understood it quite well. You are v9ting for me because of my vote and post history. However the two are directly related. I only voted so late yesterday because I was late getting home which was also. Why I didn't revote in day one. I just arrived home about a half hour ago today.

I only voted so late yesterday because I was late getting home which was also. Why I didn't revote in day one. I just arrived home about a half hour ago today. I feel bad saying what I will say in this post, but I am never among the nicest people, and I guess someone has to say it in this game. To be honest, I am not sure why one vote (and maybe another potential Day 6 vote) would make you feel you have to respond to it with all the posts explaining your real life schedules. And more precisely, I don't know why you want to spend your limited time explaining your real life schedules and not playing the game. If you really are Town and have a busy work schedule, you have talked about it more than enough that I (and all the other players who did read your posts) have seen what you have said. Any more details about your real life does not help you. Moreover, it does not help Town at all. If I were you and I have limited time, what I want to do would definitely be something that helps the Town more. Spending your limited time explaining that you work for a long time and you just arrived home late, with more than one post, actually makes you look not so busy, and other players would less likely buy your explanation. And this is really not such a difficult concept that you need to be an experienced player of this game to understand it. That being said, you are entitled to do whatever you want in this game, so if you want to keep focusing on yourself and not the game, feel free to.

Excellent another scum down, although I'm not entirely surprised as, IMHO, yesterday felt like a scum bus job.
Not to mention a couple of people voting for "detective cleared town".

Kagemoto I think you are being a wee bit too harsh on crys with your last post. I think this may be a new vs experienced player issue. Us new players didn't realize at onset what an undertaking this game was going to be. We've been playing this this game for over a month, and I feel like we're no where closer to being finished than when we first started.
I feel like in the beginning there was a lot to talk about. I don't really see much of anything going on to comment on anymore. Players who were active have now disappeared.
I'd rather take a good look at Annem on Day 6. She (I think) has an almost straight across the board Town vote for4 out of 5 days so far including voting for a "detective cleared town" yesterday.

Oh yeah, been meaning to bring this up. Nights either need to an one hour earlier or later -- either one would be fine.
But when they end right at 5:00 Eastern, then I have to spend my commute home with one eye on my phone, constantly refreshing to see when I get the result of my investigation. Since I clearly cannot be trusted to show enough self-restraint to keep my damn eyes I the road, I feel it should fall on administration to prevent me from being a danger to myself and others on the road.
Ending the night either one hour earlier (while I'm still at work) or one hour later (when I'm home) will alleviate this problem.
Thank you.

I believe this is the first Night that is ending at 5 PM Eastern, so I'm not sure why it is an ongoing problem for you:
<snip>
Night will end on MONDAY at FIVE PM (AZ time).
<snip>
NIGHT TWO WILL END ON MONDAY AT 3PM (Arizona time).
<snip>
Night will end on Saturday at 8AM.
<snip>
Night will end on SUNDAY, at 7PM (AZ time).
<snip>
Looks pretty clear that Nights have a set ending.
If I had a night action and I knew I was not going to have access to the internet for an entire night, I would at least PM Idle with my Night action as late in the Day as possible asking if that was OK. Given that Pleonast is only investigating players in the background, it is unlikely his target would get lynched that day.But, safety first! Put that phone down while you are driving

I believe this is the first Night that is ending at 5 PM Eastern, so I'm not sure why it is an ongoing problem for you: At the end of Night 4, Hal gave his investigation results so that if he was NK we'd have an answer for Day5. I'm assuming he will want to do the same thing today. Hal, in that case, maybe you should "stay late" tonight ha.

My point is that the Nights end at all different hours, and ok, this one is not convenient for Hal's schedule, but the next Night will end at some other hour. It's not like they will all end at 5 PM. We have other people with Night actions and it seems like the players would adjust to the mod's schedule, not the mod adjusting to one player's schedule. I just found it odd that Hal felt the need to post that instead of perhaps PM'ing Idle with his concerns.

While I don't disagree with you that I was probably harsh, Scum hunting is a harsh thing itself. Also, I was replying to crys, but what I have said applies to everyone in this game, and not just to the new players. And there are experienced players who talk about busy real life all the time. I do find something interesting in your post, that you feel like in the beginning there was a lot to talk about, and you don't really see much of anything going on to comment on anymore. In this game, if you don't look for things to comment on, of course there is nothing much to comment on. Before I talked about crys in Day 5, no one else have talked about her. There are lots of other players who haven't been talked about for you to look at. Also, there is nothing wrong that you'd rather take a good look at annem. I did look at annem in Day 5 with one full post, and while I voted crys, I did not say annem was cleared, which means I do plan to look at annem again later. More importantly, unless you decide to focus on one single player only, looking at annem does not prevent you from looking at other players. In fact, there will be other players that I check when I have time, probably in Day 6 (if I survive Night 5, of course).

I just found it odd that Hal felt the need to post that instead of perhaps PM'ing Idle with his concerns. Really, it was more of a joke than anything. At any rate, I don't think we've had a 5:00 Eastern daybreak in this game yet. I have had previous games where a critical-to-me-for-some-reason update was due to occur at that time, and I found myself refreshing my phone at every red light until an update finally occurred. I've had to pull over and read updates in parking lots (with accompanying "Woohoo! I <found scum/killed a townie power role/whatever>" cheering while getting strange looks from passerby).
