Texcat is lynched. She was.... Scum
This is good. Finally we lynch scum based off our reasoning.
You're skimming:
A forced vanilla claim is not a credible role claim. And preventing Day-end vote shenanigans to protect a Detective is a good use of a Detective's vote.
A last-minute vote to bring a Detective within in one vote of the scum who's leading the count--this is the vote shenanigans I was worried about. I'm sure scum would not vote to tie me or bring me to the lead, because it'd be too obvious. But to bring to within one? That's definitely something scum would do.
Furthermore, there's the false "
Pleo must not be able to investigate since they don't investigate
Meeko". Let's repeat again:
scum can fake an investigation. If I'm lying about investigating players, it's because I'm town and not a Detective.
And finally,
crys seems to be very concerned about my credibility. Why? Because I'm a lynch target if my credibility is too low? My credibility doesn't matter--once I'm Night-killed, everyone will know I'm being truthful. And we'll have a nice set of confirmed town among players who're not doing much, which is much better than guessing or waiting for them to be subbed (giving a free pass to any scum among them).
Oh, my updated results:
N1:
supemel is town.
N2:
dottiebob is town. Which means the new
michelehunter is town, if my notes are correct.
N3: -
N4:
jlrinmke is town.
N5:
jerelijah is town.
So,
vote crysfor 1) bringing a Detective to one vote of being lynched.
2) using logic that means the player they're voting for must be town.
3) being very concerned about a claimed Detective's credibility.
Eh, I don't mind being lynched (I've been lynched as a power role before) as much as the terrible arguments being used to justify it. I'm going to die sooner or later anyway, and a lynch confirms my investigations just as much as a Night kill. I'd rather make the scum do it instead of wasting a lynch, though.
The vote was 9 to 6 with two hours left when
Texcat moved her vote.
In the case where
Pleonast and
Texcat are both Scum, by then it was pretty clear a Scum was going down. Wouldn't it be very logical for these Scum to vote each other, hoping for Town cred?
