~snipped~ What...did Meeko PM you his reply? What is the "good case" for me being Scum? And what happened in the 68 minutes between the two quoted posts that made it suddenly clear to you? No, no PM from Meeko. (I did take that as a joke). You're right, though, that does look odd the way I posted. These are two parallel thoughts I had, not sequential. In other words, I do think that a good case has been made for you being scum, and a related side thought is that I would like for Meeko to explain why *he* thinks you are scum. (I'm really looking for some insight into Meeko there). Here's the case on you as I see it: Firstly, votes: D1 - random vote on dizzymrslizzyD2 MeekoD5 MeekoD8 Meeko(D4 no vote, and D3, D6, D7 were detective scum reveals) You haven't done much actual scum hunting; you've placed safe votes on Meeko. By safe, I mean that a vote for Meeko is always justifiable on some base level because of his play style. He's so votable! Secondly, this: OTOH, there are a few people I am surprised to still be here. Guiri, Suburban Plankton, gnarlycharlie, I'm looking at you guys as the experienced players who the scum don't usually leave around considering that wombat99 and crys were the ones NK'ed. CIAS makes a good point there. And guiri is Town and Gnarly, RIP. Thirdly, the gnarlycharlie vote: Looking at gnarly's posts, the signal to noise ratio seems awfully low. I don't know if I fully buy into the whole "he was really quiet until after Pleo was lynched, so that's why he's Scum" theory...but it seems that he's still not saying much even though his posting volume has increased quite a bit.
I still think Meeko is Scum, but since nobody seems to agree with me. I find gnarly more suspicious than Patricia at this point, so I'm changing my vote to put a bit of distance there to try to avoid any late-Day shenanigans. Of the unconfirmed gnarly voters, I think you gave the weakest reason for voting for him. You said you didn't totally buy the reasoning against him but that you preferred the case against him over Patricia. They were both weak arguments; why not just vote Meeko again (or look elsewhere)? The other days you voted for Meeko there were between 1 and 3 votes for him, not enough to put him in lynch danger there either or sway the vote.

Looks like I've lost my touch -- investigated another townie last night (although I'll keep this one under wraps -- no need to sign their death warrant just yet). As for Suits...wow, very bad idea. So bad, in fact, that I'm comfortable voting you. Which, ironically, then makes me a lot more comfortable about going along with your idea. Vote Suits101Really too bad, cuz I'm just a vanilla townie and I'm moving from this godforsaken house that just blew my fuses twice in a row (pc + running a hairblower at same time! gee). Can't wait to move into my new place and reading about what'll happen to me and other townies. I'm unplugging my pc and will not have access until next Monday (hopefully).
As for my "not caring about the team", very wrong. Just because I'm a noob and I'm still unsure how to play, doesn't mean I shouldn't be asking questions... Well... I see what that gets me... Trying to figure out who's left in the game... Have fun voting me. Guaranteed mislynch.

Vote end day early Idle, can we still do this even though there's no vote for a particular person? <bleached> Why on God's Green earth would you WANT to do that? The only people who would want to do that is Scum, because that guarantees them a chance to catch up a bit! Because I want to make sure a vote goes through for at least an end day early. I don't know who to vote for without "jumping the gun" as we say. I won't have access to this game until next Monday when the internet is plugged in my new house. Moving week. I've not been voting lately because I have electrical issues in this apartment/house I'm currently in, I finally decided to catch up on the reading when the fuses would work, so there. I see what asking questions and participating gets me. Have fun mislynching another townie (me).

Vote Suburban Plankton
If you're town then you are going to know who has not only been feeding us scum but has posted and posted and posted names that have rung true for their roles. Seems a bit off to me that you wouldn't know Hal was not only confirmed but helpful to us. Among the Meeko votes every other day

The sooner toDay ends, the sooner the NEXT day will start. so, if you can't play, why would you want to miss more than you have to? and, I'll straight-up ask you: how far behind are you in the reading? and, just because you might not know it's there, to the player list: idlemafia.com/index.cgi?board=mara&action=display&thread=1910 tho, of course, you could just scroll up - a more detailed list of who is alive has been posted.

Everyone here has been welcoming and tolerant of our noobie-ness and I don't think you should imply otherwise. Sorry to hear about your fuses.

The Suits101 situation is bizarre and makes no sense to me. I read over all of her posts from resurrection up to Today (not much of a task) and nothing there strikes me as Scum, but nothing exactly screaming Town either.
Question to experienced players:
Is there any history of players assigned the Scum role finding the role hard to play and losing it? She does express a lot of frustration with her current real world situation, so maybe that has driven her to losing it.
Whether she be Scum or Town, the vote to end day without a vote cast is just nuts. It strikes me as a Null Tell.

While I can't speak for her RL problems (real life), from experience I had problems with being scum the first time, because I had gotten comfortable with being town for so long. Her having problems with the scum role would have been apparent when she subbed in, not on Day 10. I think that the thing that has everyone pinged is the End Day vote, combined with not voting for anyone. I could understand her End Day vote IF she would have voted for someone, but not without a vote on someone.

I will happily change my vote to the others I mentioned if their cases gain some traction, or perhaps even someone else if another decent case comes along. But PLEASE let's put some thought into this so we don't end up like yesterDay. I think yesterDay, the scum team sat and laughed at us while we attacked poor Townies. Let's not make this easy for them you guys. Cathi has 2 votes, you could make it 3. (Unless of course our Town Detective gnarly lied about him, which believe it or not is not without precedent...) Town Detectives that lie are the bane of some former mod's existence. They with the abillity to look at lemmings and know inherently the difference......... grumble grumble grumble. [/sub][/quote] Not fun, eyes sore. Of the unconfirmed gnarly voters, I think you gave the weakest reason for voting for him. Please tell me what you thought of AmyKB's vote on gnarly. Because I want to make sure a vote goes through for at least an end day early. I don't know who to vote for without "jumping the gun" as we say. It doesn't look like s/he'll be back in time to explain but my interpretation of this is that s/he wanted to actually place a vote, any vote, and so voted end day instead of voting a player. Vote Suburban Plankton If you're town then you are going to know who has not only been feeding us scum but has posted and posted and posted names that have rung true for their roles. Seems a bit off to me that you wouldn't know Hal was not only confirmed but helpful to us. Among the Meeko votes every other day Do you really think scum are more likely than Town to forget who's claimed cop and delivered 3 scum to the lynch?

what sort of conditions could exist where CIAS (who voted every Day except Day 4, I believe) would get subbed out while there are still inactive players (like jerejiliah and TotalUlla) ?

wow I come back and all kinds of killing went on! Patricia I am so sorry, I have no idea how you picked up on the terminology so fast, and frankly I envy you that. I have not been as skilled and it really did seem too good to be true. So, I am sorry but I am also kind of in awe of your ability. I still have a sheet here with all kinds of scribbles about what things mean, and I refer to it all the time. Let me also say I had a great vacation/visit with family and friends, I did try to get on from my Ipod, but it never worked real well, hotel internet sucks, and it is rude to ignore someone you are having coffee with at Starbucks to read days and days of posts. So, in that way I am sorry I have been away. Back to the game. I have a lot of reading to catch up on and unpacking to do, so I will start both and get back to you.

It's official...I'm a skimmer. I thought I'd peek in and find it's a little muddled in here. Quietish too. I'm going to stick with a gut feeling and Vote: richbeckman. Am I nuts or does anyone else see what I saw? I'm not sure I made my point clearly the other day, but maybe it just didn't add up for others. Okay, off for a girls' night, I'll check back tomorrow for replies.

Please tell me what you thought of AmyKB's vote on gnarly. Hmm. Actually I had overlooked AmyKB's vote since Gnarly didn't mention her as being one of the unconfirmed votes against him. She did use the same reasoning as Suburban Plankton (she didn't think Gnarly was all that scummy but preferred the case against him over Patricia). So, yes, that's something to consider. Otherwise I do not think AmyKB is scum. I accept her explanation about the Meeko/Texcat-tying vote on Day4 as reasonable.

I agree, wombat & crys - I do remember reading that skimming is a scum tell... Cathi - I agree that you should give more details regarding your choice to vote rich. Going through your posts, the only thing I can find that you "saw" about rich is It seems logical to me that there is only one Vig, since only one Scum is being killed each night. Does that not make sense? (snipped) which you questioned as possibly being too knowledgeable. while that could be the case, what else do you have? you said you were going to dig, then you question whether your point was made clearly... I don't know that I even see a "point" in your posts about rich. Please clarify.

Nether of us mad it to Day 2 in that game..... And remind you, we were both on the same team.
