The Day ends not with a bang, but with silence. The mafia players all shuffle forward, used to the routine by now.
"Hello, everyone!" Pollux says cheerily as he appears on camera. "It's nice to see smiles on all your faces! Oh, those aren't smiles. Oh, dear, have you guys been using moisturizer at night? You don't look well at all! I guess that's not my business though. So, let's see here." He shuffles his cards around. "Seems like today was a great big pile onto JustBeingGinger. No complaining about the Mercenary bid today, though, I guess people wised up to it, eh? Well, anyway, let's get right to it. Ginger, step forward!"
JustBeingGinger is pushed to the front, where she calmly steps forward and turns to face the crowd.
They look at her.
She looks at them.
They look at her.
She looks at them.
A half hour passes, filled with looking.
The big executioner never shows. The crowd gets agitated and starts to mull about. Finally a lone voice speaks him.
"We can kill her ourselves!" "Yeah, why wait for the mysterious hooded man if he's just not going to show?" "Let's lynch her!" "Kill her!" "ARRRRGHGHHGHGHGHGHGH sorry I bit my tongue guys. It really hurts." "Shut up Deadpool." "LYNCH HER!!!"
The crowd, now a mob, surges forward towards JustbeingGinger. But before they can reach her, the space station starts to shake. As if possessed, a loud voice reverberates throughout the entire station, echoing one word.
"NO."
The crowd freezes in fear. JustbeingGinger watches them without saying anything, before turning and walking away to her room. Shocked by the turn of events, they all watch her go.
---
You attempted to lynch JustbeingGinger today. You failed.
Night Three begins now.
Bidding for the Mercenary for Night four is open!
Night Three will end Thursday at 2 PM EST/EDT/whatever.

I'm prepared to accept JBG as semi-confirmed town at this point, then as I maintain an unlynchable scum is gamebreaking. I still would have preferred someone on whom we expected the lynch to work without reservation, but if ifs and ands were pots and pans we'd have no work for tinkers.
I would kind of like to hear what Mhaye has to say in response to Lightfoot's charges as they seem pretty accurate to me. I think several players have been slipping by most of us and that's probably not so good.

"And I won't say I told you so" starts playing in Colby's room
Honestly, a non lynchable scum is game breaking... So I think Ginger isn't scum, at least. Where is magic ball guy? We want a number....
Who to recruit tonight? No clue, but I'll figure something out

Okay, I guess that was something true. Still not confirmed, as she only survived a single lynch, but I'm not going to be pushing for it Tomorrow.

Unlynchable Scum is certainly game-breaking.
What about an unlynchable, hostile third-party? That's not necessarily game-breaking, I guess, depending on the win condition... but it seems less than likely.

The color fits with the idea that she's the executioner, and really, we don't have time to sit here and rigorously test the limits of her lynch avoidance. I'm not even sure we really had the time for this experiment but we can't keep lynching ginger and let scum pick us off one by one each night. An unlynchable hostile 3rd party is game-breaking for the same reason an unlynchable scum is. An unlynchable non-hostile 3rd party is not game-breaking but weird.

I think I will trust Ginger a lot more now. I just wish she hadn't changed her PM. I agree that any Party that has an unlynchable role except for Town would be game breaking.

Ok I am going to say this one final time. I am looking for more information so I bite smartly, and I conceded to Kid's point saying I won't bite people for now.
I have been playing the game honestly maybe next time I will pretend like I have gotten bitten myself and lie to everyone about everything and then get lynched cause I lied.....
Anyone that questions my logic I am going to state it as simply as I can hoping ya'll won't twist it around*
I don't really want to bite people that are scummy cause I think they will taste bad and I'm hoping town will get their act together and lynch them dead. I want more data before I go on a feeding frenzy and I don't think biting random people are really going to advance my wincon very much.
* I am pretty sure someone is going to twist it around.
With that I have a pm to send telling the gastardly mod I am staying in my room this evening true to my word. However Kid I will not stay in my room forever!

What do you mean you think they will taste bad? If it's an ingame thing then couldn't you function as an ersatz detective? And if your wincon is what it says in your pm, ie. that you win by infecting at least half of the living players with your virus, then yes, biting random people will advance your wincon, actually. More than staying in your room will. And waiting until later isn't that great a strategy. Fewer people you need to infect but they have a higher chance of dying and you risk the game ending before you get the requisite number of bites in. Goddamn do I wish we had lynched you because this doesn't make sense to me at all.

You want to lynch me because it doesn't make sense to you??? OMG if I pushed for lynches of everyone that didn't make sense to me I would be voting all of you often. For example what I say and do doesn't make sense to you RedSkeezix says there were so many town and scum still living etc and you take that in stride like it's normal....(which I know its not) and don't pay any mind to it. Pizza starts of spouting stuff like a crazy person and says a ton of things that don't make sense, but most of you let that slide as well. I already told you who I am and what my role is etc. Why aren't you guys focusing on who asks for a bunch of information but doesn't give much in return. I know you only have my word on it but I don't understand why some want the benefit of the doubt but refuse to give it to others. You don't have to like the role I have been given or the way I CHOOSE to play it atm, but seriously stop wasting time on me and start scum hunting or town is going to lose, unless that is you are scum and want town to lose.

The problem is that when you bring up Red or ATPG, it looks a lot more like deflection than an attempt at scum hunting. Neither Pizza nor Red, however, have furnished us with PMs laying out their roles and powers. So we don't have a lot to judge them against. You, however, have given us what you say is your PM and, frankly, your actions don't match it at all. To the extent that Red and Pizza get a pass, it's because they haven't handed us so much info on a platter. Their actions may still make sense within the context of their roles but yours does not and I'm more interested in exploring the obviously hinky right in front of me than the possibly odd. You also seem to think that you've somehow earned a by via your actions and I'm sorry but that's not the way it works. If anything, you've thrown yourself into the interrogation room by claiming. Next time, if you don't want to be so much the cynosure, don't grab the spotlight.

With all due respect, that's exactly what someone we should lynch would say. Yup. Crys, I sense that you're frustrated. I appreciate that you're willing to not use your power for now, and if you're telling the truth I hope somebody can come up with a way for you to prove that you're non-hostile. If you're lying, I hope you die in a fire . I'm willing to consider not voting to lynch you as long as nobody else pops up saying they're infected. Obviously that's not satisfactory to you for forever, but truce for now?

Now we know that or so she said that she is 3rd party. In a normal game we typically lynch 3rd party but with a possibility of a recruiter, they become more valuable. I am not saying that she is lying or telling the truth but just because someone says that they got bitten does not really mean they got bitten. It is not way a way to prove things.

You'd honestly try and lynch Ginger again, Peeker? Or are you hoping that someone non-scum killer tries to take her out with a NK?
So what if a few newish players have made fumbled spectacles of themselves? It happens. It doesn't have to dominate the conversation, and shouldn't.

This is a pretty good point, actually. The lack of an executioner person showing up, combined with a Pleo-confirmed name, makes it that much more likely that she really is who she says she is, instead of some one-shot lynchproof scum. I can't see a scum in that role. And it seems pretty unlikely for hostile 3rd Party to be in that role.

I'm not sure I want to ask her directly but I wonder if crys is implying that if she bites scum, she'll die. I think there have been roles like that before. But it would really suck for her wincon if that is the case, since biting half the town without hitting scum would require a lot of luck.
As it is, if she's telling the truth about her wincon, which seems likely to me, she's pretty much screwed herself out of a win with the claim.

So not all 3rd party players are recruitable then.
I wonder if hostile/nonhostile is the dividing line.

Skeez, I don't think JBG used a "power" to not be lynched yesterDay. It says that she's the executioner and won't lynch herself......Failure to act doesn't really equal an action? KWIM?

So not all 3rd party players are recruitable then. I wonder if hostile/nonhostile is the dividing line. And that brings up another valuable point about Colby and why I think he's lying through his teeth. If there's a certain amount of recruitables, then how extremely lucky he was that his first two targets were recruitable. Since he said he recruited both Pleo and Wombat. How convenient that they are both dead and can't vouch for his claim.

aka, he hit a 7/29 players twice. There's only a 24% chance of him hitting a recruitable. I think the odds are low that he hit them two days in a row.
