LETS GET READY TO RUMBLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLE (screw you peeker you bastard, that's my schtick) There are four factions. Two of them will win, by eliminating the other two (it's technically possible for just one faction to win, but not likely). Day length is controlled by the players - a hammer of 1/3rd (rounded up) of the active players will kick off a 24hour countdown to Dusk. Going 24 hours without a vote being placed will also kick off a 24hour countdown to Dusk (that's 48 hours total, there). It's Thanksgiving in the US and people have lives, so I won't even consider allowing a countdown to start until next Wednesday at the earliest, so don't sweat inactivity over the long holiday weekend. It's Day One! Let's get it on!

PM received. Happy thanksgiving for those that celebrate that stuff!
I will be a bit busy this weekend, so don't expect too much participation from me. Also, I am playing two games for the first time, so I apologize beforehand for being confused.
Finally, given the last game on giraffe, I now strongly support lynch the lurker.

I recall some of the first one There are four groups * LG Lawful Good ( Town team essentially ) can win when all C/E are dead * CG Chaotic Good ( can win with either LG or CE ) need LE dead * LE Lawful Evil ( can win with either LG or CE ) need CG dead * CE Chaotic Evil ( Scum team essentially ) can win when all L/G are dead- and they can communicate in some manner There may be other twists to the win-cons ( I don’t know) but these are the basics Yes I used the word dead because last time there were a few Remorseful Killers in the game as well as mentioned in the rules- So there are a few ways to leave the game
Quickly claiming “Town (LG) “ May not make you safe from the middle factions depending on where they decide to align ( be aware of that) *The shortened versions of the alignments come in handy- but can get confusing hope this helps someone

Just F everyone's I, I'll be getting on a plane shortly and won't be around the rest of the day today. My ability to participate the rest of the weekend will be questionable -- I'll be at my parents, at least one day we're going to Disneyland, and I'm not bringing a laptop so I'll be posting from the iPad.
Also, while Lynch the Lurker can be a viable strategy, it's better to wait a few days just to see what happens.

And: Unvote: Chucara because, yes, I was referencing and making a joke about the LTL discussions in the other game, where it turned out to be a valid strategy for Town.

PM Received. Happy Thanksgiving, all! vote StuffingHERETIC! vote: Dressing (and also Burby but I won't do that in case I come back and forget to unvote after the weekend. Ah...the eternal 'stuffing vs. dressing' debate. I prefer my spiced bread product to be crammed inside a large bird, where it can absorb all of the gamey goodness contained therein. And having managed to reach the ripe old age of 45 without dying of food poisoning from undercooked stuffing, I'm not particularly worried about catching bird flu or whatever it is that I'm supposed to have already died from. You can have your dry, vaguely turkey-flavored 'dressing' all to yourself. It just leaves more of the good stuff for me So....cranberry sauce... Homemade, or sliced straight from the can as God intended?

My family gave up eating turkey for Christmas when I was 13 or so. It turned out that no-one really liked the stuff - I was merely the most vocal, having not touched the stuff in about five years. We went to chicken, which everyone preferred. (In my case, I merely disliked chicken, rather than actively loathed it.)
I think the best years were when my sister roasted a goose. Or the years when we had a choice of beef, pork or turkey.
I appreciate the valiant efforts of our American cousins to eat the turkey out of existence, but I'm afraid that the only way is to put them all into a pen in the Mojave desert and then nuke the place down to bedrock.
Oh yes - I've received my PM.

I think I might see some Fable 2, 3, Oblivion, and Skyrim in my future
Snipped from other thread fable is always enjoyable and skyrim was awesome fallout series was pretty good too

Oh yes - I've received my PM. I would like for one of you continentals to come over some year and cook me a Christmas goose. I've had goose several times, wild and storebought, and it never fails to be a disgusting greasy gamey-testing mess. I'm guessing we dumb colonials just don't know how to cook it, because I want to like goose, I just can't. It's ick. A well-roasted turkey, on the other hand, is great. I do a turkey and stuffing 2-3 times a year, and it's great every time. The stuffing is even better, and I make extra dressing on the side. I just picked up an awesome tip, this year I'm going to cut the wings off the bird before I cook it and lay them across the top of the pans of dressing so they get some tasty turkeydrippings too... om nom nom nom. I'm sorry, were you guys trying to play Mafia? I'll shut up now.
