Perfect Information Syndrome. certain players, particularly scum, have information that most players don't. sometimes these players post something that seems to indicate they know more than they should. Nothing else worth commenting on? Not one thing? well, i hope i didn't hurt your feelings by not commenting on your points. i just felt i couldn't add anything new. if it helps, i think that: 1. peeker and Lightfoot look like viable lynches given that their posts point to them being non-LG. 2. pizza's suggestion for a D1 lynch is good in theory but hard to execute since it requires the cooperation of everyone. it does make him sound useful but he earns no townie points for that. his strategy could be viable with a close race between peeker and Lightfoot. 3. ask Opal (again). let's see if we can make this a two-horse race and if it will make anyone as pizza says, flinch. Unvote: dizzymrslizzy Vote: peeker

Come on, you're paying enough attention to the game to reply to a completely meta question but hadn't seen anything worth commenting on in the days since your previous post until prompted? 2 things:
1) Why the comment related to sounding useful and townie points? Just seems like a bizarre thing to say, from my perspective. It just seems completely generic, and could apply to literally everyone in the game. I always find comments that are nonspecific and lead to no conclusions to be essentially empty space.
I realize I talk a lot and particularly my posts might not come across as useful to everyone, but they usually have a point, and a conclusion, and there's usually specifics.
I can't grok a playstyle that lacks conclusions or specifics. I find your comment peculiar as such, gnarly. It's essentially fluff which is the active way of hiding.
2) What in the blue hell is this Ask Opal stuff? I am not in on this joke.

let's see if we can make this a two-horse race and if it will make anyone as pizza says, flinch. I think you're misinterpreting the entire flinch idea. The point of pizzaguy's plan (or so I assume) is to have as many people as possible under fire for being lynched, so we have a large base of data to pull from. If we have a two-person runoff for a lynch, it's less likely we'll nail CE in those two compared to if we have, say, a six-person runoff. The more people who are in contention to be lynched, the more likely we'll have some scum under pressure. Essentially we'd be playing a huge game of chicken and seeing who flinches and changes their votes first. The problem with pizza's plan is there are four factions in this game. If every faction outside of LG has the possibility of knowing their teammates, then LE, CG, and CE may all make moves to save a teammate. The information could still turn out helpful, but there's a chance it could also lead to some misfires in judgment.

I realize a joke is less funny if you explain it, but by now, I'm so curious that I promise, I will audibly chuckle if this is in any way funny, but I definitely need to see the origin of this meme.
By the way, I'll toss in my judgment on whether or not it was in fact meme-worthy, and whether or not you're all insane for making a meme out of something that wasn't interesting or funny to begin with, or if you're absolutely right, it's a good meme.
Meme. It's a word that is fun to say. Mmmmmmeeeeemmmme.

The information could still turn out helpful, but there's a chance it could also lead to some misfires in judgment. I would argue that it will be more effective because there are more teams who know each other. It's actually *less* effective against only one team because the odds are worse that you'll hit anyone who could possibly flinch. The caveat is you may get neutrals flinching as well, but they are potentially scum, and it's also advantageous to figure out who they are so you can screen out their behavior from the actual scum's behavior. Knowing someone is neutral puts the question mark on them, which makes it easier to avoid hitting Lawful Good.

I've had a couple questions about one of the rules, and I obviously wasn't clear - some players may not be able to vote for others on their team. This doesn't mean that they'll be struck by lightning if they type vote playertheycan'tvotefor, it just means it won't show up in any vote count I provide.

I haven't read and didn't participate in the last game like this so I am only familiar with the traditional setup. I don't think it was a knee jerk reaction on my part to place a vote, though it has been characterized as such. It was simply in my experience that the only team who knew their teammates was scum. Voting has to start somewhere to get people talking. I don't find this convincing. Literally the first sentence of the signup thread reads "This will be a four-faction game." Prior to your vote for Peeker, there had been a fair amount of discussion about what this entails, and there have also been many comments about the rules. 3 posts after your vote, Lightfoot states that it looks "like the last game," and that all teams but LG probably have off-board discussion. In a game like this, I believe that thinking this is a traditional setup betrays a traditional scum thought process. Which I believe makes you chaotic-evil. Vote Hockey Monkey(It's even harder posting here on my phone than it is on the Dope!) Your logic is very flawed. It's been over 3 years since I've played. Having not read the last game, my parsing of the rules was that other individual players may have some off board communication, not that entire teams might. My thought process betrays a traditional town thought process. If I were chaotic-evil, I probably wouldn't have given it a second thought. Your vote is weak, given that several other players also voted for peek for the same reason.
