Very briefly, I suppose I ought to at least give what I remember about my analysis. (since it might help convince anyone who thinks I'm scum who didn't actually do it)
Summary results of storyteller's posts:
Positive defense of autolycus Positive comments about Gadarene Agreement with NAF on several topics.
Large number of 'neutral posts' - most people showed up in this category
Negative posts criticism of Auntbeast accusations of zuma, Flying Cow of Doom, and KatiRoo questions about Hal Briston late in the day (based on some assumptions that may be false, however)
hockeymonkey, I don't think you're scum. Storyteller said something like, "If I die tonight, make my epitaph 'vote for the person you think is most likely to be a pirate'." So I won't vote for you today.
unvote Hockey Monkey
Has auntbeast defended that statement? I had other suspicions about her, mostly for bad strategy but also for the way her suspicions are cast about.
At the moment she was next on the list since Hal dropped off it.
vote Auntbeast

Cowgirl has been posting on the dope, but not a lot, the last couple of days. She did seem to have a (very snall) flurry of posts on the 5th.

If anyone out there is listening, I have a few other thoughts to get off my chest. MadTheSwine seems to be voting wherever the prevailing wind is blowing. He hasn't given reasons for his recent votes. It's getting tiresome constantly defending myself for posts I made on Day One and Two when no one has acknowledged any of the points I have made toDay. I will acknowledge this post. For someone to be following the game as closely as you are, stating that I vote where the wind is blowing is wrong.I'm very surprised by that. My recent votes are as follows zuma-I was the first to vote for him in Day three,so I originated the "wind"... and I was blowing the wrong way, apparently. Once he claimed,I switched to my ol' asbestos panty clad, rutabaga eating, dumber than a green apple stand-by auntbeast, who I have made my suspicions quite clear of from Day one. Then when AZ caught Hal Briston tripping up,coupled with my earlier suspicion of him in this Day,I thought that was a good reason to switch over to Hal. Why the misrepresentation of my voting pattern? Seems like you are just slinging shit and hope some of it sticks.Don't throw shit at pigs,we like it. My vote will stay with Hal though, for now.

Yeah, except for the fact I explained it. I had not really read anything to change my mind from the person I had voted for on the previous day whom I specified was NAF and was intending to vote for NAF again, but in light of storyteller being town and taking his posts into account with a bit more credibility than he had before..I changed my vote. Call it swooping, call it whatever you want, but understand that posting JUST to post so people won't give you shit about posting is rather lame and one aspect of this game that bothers me. I'm a pretty verbose person in general, but I'd rather post when I have something to say. To be honest, I wasn't particularly thrilled about posting earlier because I felt like I didn't have enough to say, to say anything, but that I had better do it, otherwise a shit storm would start. I know it makes people comfortable to analyze every letter typed. The more we type, the more you can analyze. The down side is we have 18 pages of people covering their asses. It gets harder to separate the wheat from the chaff and we end up getting 3 crew members killed and not one damned pirate. Damned if we do, damned if we don't. *shrug* What I meant by unexplained, was that you didn't provide any analysis for your vote of your own. You based it on storyteller's post about zuma, based on knowing now that he was crew and it gives us more information. Well, no, it doesn't. The only information it gives us is that storyteller knew his own alliance and no one elses. There is quite alot to comment on now, and I find it hard to believe that anyone in this game doesn't have anything to say about something. And I just want to point out that the pirates/night roles have killed 3 crew. To this point 5 of us have died. Was it a slip of a pirate tounge to say that "It gets harder to separate the wheat from the chaff and we end up getting 3 crew members killed and not one damned pirate."?It's enough to make me unvote panamajack and vote Auntbeast. (I reserve the right to change this vote again if I wanna.) This be the post I am referring to about Auntbeast. Bolding the part relevant to her.

Then when AZ caught Hal Briston tripping up,coupled with my earlier suspicion of him in this Day,I thought that was a good reason to switch over to Hal. <snip> My vote will stay with Hal though, for now. And that the fact that he was straight-up incorrect when he "caught me tripping up" doesn't do anything for you, huh? Interesting... Ok, let's recap any possible explanation for suspicions against me: -- Voted/unvoted too quickly on Day Two. Explained above...When someone subs in and makes an uninformed vote, you'd rather it stick? -- Got caught in blatant lie by AZ. Blatantly untrue, and proven as such. -- Dresses poorly, questionable hygieneOk, got me there...whaddayawant, we're supposed to be at sea. Keep in mind, Swine, that voting third is an accepted scum tell...pushing for a lynching after a completely reasonable explanation is made is an even bigger one.

Don't you know monkeys like to fling poo? ;D Seriously though, I'm sorry if it seemed that I misrepresented your voting record. It was not intended as such. What got me was really your last vote change to Hal Briston. It bothers me when someone swoops in and drops a vote without really any explaination, even when they say "based on such and such's testimony". Your last vote was this: Gad, I like the cut of your jib...any thoughts on my Hal Briston controversy, or am I barking up the wrong tree again? I see that says Gad and not Mad but...I think it is a very good tree to bark at. unvote auntbeast vote Hal BristonI guess it struck me wrong that you would word it this way. Even though I did say most recent posts, I meant this one most recent one. Sorry again.

Post by Hal Briston on Jun 7, 2007 14:16:53 GMT -5
Well, with 45 minutes left and the voting (unofficially) standing at...
5 -- Hal Briston (ArizonaTeach, Lakai, Mad The Swine, zuma, NAF1138) 3 -- hockeymonkey (autolycus, FlyingCowOfDoom, diggitcamara) 2 -- zuma (auntbeast, Idle Thoughts) 1 -- panamajack (Blaster Master) 2 -- auntbeast (hockeymonkey, panamajack) 1 -- Autolycus (capybara) 1 -- Lakai (Hal Briston) 1 -- Cowgirl (Gadarene)
...it looks like I am good and truly effed. No hard feelings, but c'mon guys, this is putting us down six crew members, even before before Dick and the Pirates play their newest hits tonight. Gotta hit scum sometime!
It's unfortunate that my biggest "scum tell" was a mistake made by comfirmed crew, but that's the way it goes sometimes. I know I haven't been the most verbose poster, but I play straight. I'm not a pirate, but I'd take a good, hard look at the two I've been spouting against toDay.
Don't let 'em get'cha down, crew!

+++unvote zuma++++

I think "separating the wheat from the chaff" is a very, very good analogy to what we are not doing. If we are to be ferreting out pirates, we are doing a crappy job of it.
I have changed my vote, on a whim, for the first time. I'm far more suspicious of HockeyMonkey than I am of Hal.
For your convenience, just pick which reason you want to explain it: A. Crappy new player B. Scummy pirate tactic C. Being evasive and not stating my position clearly enough D. Not posting enough E. Posting too much. F. Not giving enough information G. Giving too much information.

It had nothing to do with wheat vs. chaff, and everything to do with the fact you stated 3 crew had been killed. Up to this point, 5 crew have been killed, but 3 of them have been killed by night roles. How about if YOU pick out a reason why you voted for me other than OMGUS.

I'll say this much:
Hal Briston:
In the event that Hal does turn out to be crew, we're getting to the point where we can legitimately start to take a long, hard look at the people responsible for the lynch. That means I'll have my eye on Lakai, Mad the Swine, and NAF (particularly cross-referencing them to the fluiddruid, Kyrie, and---when it's done---storyteller lists), and to a lesser extent ArizonaTeach and zuma.
Let's hope that's not necessary (and let's hope I haven't just painted a big ol' bullseye on my back by saying that).

I'd give AZ and zuma a break on this...they haven't logged on since my explaination, so they don't even know I was cleared of why they voted for me. NAF has been online, but has ignored the entire thing. I have no idea what to make of that, but it ain't good. Lakai and Mad the Swine? When they swing, you're sure to get at least one scum, if not two.
