guiri - In regards to what to discuss:
Aside from the usual topics, I think the setup this game is quite interesting.. What's with the sins, and what's with the weird victory conditions? It seems to indicate that there are something to accomplish other than just lynching scum(Devils).
Does anyone have further details about our wincon in their role PM I have received three 'hints', that's it.. But there is no 'you win when all scum are dead' type wincon..

An 8-day Day, does anyone have any suggestions how we could make the most of the time available to us without having a last minute rush to get votes down, force a boatload of claims, and end up lynching whoever isn't online to defend themselves? I've got a deck of cards...it may not help avoid any of those things, but at least it'll help pass the time... I think the best way to avoid a 'last minute rush' is to make sure we have some votes on the table before the last minute. That being said, I'm not quite ready to start throwing them out like candy just yet, either.

I'm suddenly having flashbacks to Special Ed..."My Win Condition contains seventeen vowels, three capital letters, and eight punctuation marks"....but yeah, that's a bit different, isn't it? NOTE: all numerical values in the preceding message are for illustrative purposes only, and do not necessarily bear any resemblance to any actual PM.

Pollux, is DEATH a custom title or something? Yeah, basically what Sister Coyote said. I helped co-mod the Halloween game and my character/costume was Death and I did the Night color. It's been hanging around ever since, much like storyteller's "UATU TALKS IN CAPS" title. Does anyone have further details about our wincon in their role PMI have received three 'hints', that's it.. But there is no 'you win when all scum are dead' type wincon.. I have hints toward the win condition in my PM as well. From my perspective, I think it's alright to assume from the beginning that no group knows their exact win condition, although I could be wrong. If the scum group(s?) know their win condition but town doesn't, that would be weird. At least to me. Also, people with the same win condition may not even get the same hints. Who knows? This game strikes me as having to figure out how to win just as much as who is scum.

OOG does anyone know whether the iPhone proboards app is worth it? A ton of negative reviews about crashing but dang it's hard without an app to traverse this page.
In game, in relation to the win conditions anyone willing to throw out some conditions based on shit flinging? Lynching scum until all are dead should = a win but in this game does ones sins equal turning into a demon on death raise the possibility of a lynch of a townie into a new player on the scum side?
Yeah probably makes no sense, and I admit to some confusion as this point as it seems to be the most intricate game I have participated in.

a. Lynching or killing Devils will always help your team. b. Removing your sins will always help your team, but increasing them may or may not be beneficial.
although there is not a clue how to remove a sin At this point I'm going to focus on finding and removing Devils

FOS: Guiri for being first - very scummy Ha ha! guiri - In regards to what to discuss: Sorry, my question was a veiled reference to the game on the dope where I suggested trying out Pizza's 4-phase plan. In game, in relation to the win conditions anyone willing to throw out some conditions based on shit flinging? Is shit flinging a term for brainstorming, or just saying the first thing that comes to mind? You appear to have a habit of posting something and then writing it off in the same post. I have a. Lynching or killing Devils will always help your team. b. Removing your sins will always help your team, but increasing them may or may not be beneficial. If everyone received the same three hints, there's not much to go on.

But I suppose so shitflinging/brainstorming. Though I preferred the term shit flinging for this case. I am in a town should never lie camp a holdover from my first game advice long ago that has never really failed me and shitflinging makes it clear I am throwing shit out. Pretty much any game Day 1 is shitflinging. I also have a habit of writing down my thought process so others can know what I was thinking should I turn up dead they can see everything I said and why I thought that way. The lack of expounding on ones thought process is a bad thing for town imo.

Pretty much any game Day 1 is shitflinging. Ah, OK. I thought shit flinging was throwning out random accusations at people and waiting to see the reaction... I also have a habit of writing down my thought process so others can know what I was thinking should I turn up dead they can see everything I said and why I thought that way. The lack of expounding on ones thought process is a bad thing for town imo. Sharing your thought process is good but it looks like you know you need to say something, but rather than take a stance or engage with others, you're closing off the discussion yourself - it gives the appearance of participation, it keeps you above the radar, but it does nothing to hunt the bad guys...

Patricia, I "think" devils are scum and christians are town. That would seem to be the case, thou as this is a Pleonast game I wouldn't be surprised if there were more than two factions, or that there are some other division besides simply 'Town/Scum' Yes. My PM is quite clear on what I must do to win...just not on how I should best go about doing that. I'm fairly certain that "kill the other guys" is always going to be 'good' for all factions, but that may not be sufficient by itself to claim a win.

This game is going to be epic. And confusing. And frustrating. I confess, I have a hard time keeping up in these games sometimes. I'm going to have to take notes this time.
One of the things we are going to have to figure out is what it takes to win, other than killing Devils. Are players other than Devils going to have to be dead? Are there more than 2 factions? (Christian and Devil) Are there any sub-groups within? Are specific roles going to need to be alive at the end? Are there any players that are an automatic Lynch and Lose for either faction? I'm tossing some possibilities out there, but it's Pleonast. It could be anything. Or nothing. He could be just fucking with us.

From the rules/intro thread: Public RulesThis is an almost completely closed rules set. This game is multi-level. Dead players should still participate in order for their team to win. We need exactly 26 players. If we do not have 26 players when it is time to start, another game and ruleset will be used instead. Some powers may be hidden from the players who have them. Some powers may be affected by game states or other powers. There may be vote or lynch shenanigans. Public reveals by the moderator of a living player may be not be reliable. You will not change teams without your consent. Victory conditions may not be entirely known. So things we know: -Death is not the end. Players that are dead may still affect the game. -Having exactly 26 players was important to the set-up and role dispersal. -Players may not be aware of all their powers, and powers may be affected by the game state. -Moderator reveals are not necessarily to be trusted when dealing with living players. -The lynch can be affected, as can the vote process. -Recruiting may be a part of the game, but it won't happen without consent. Since one of the key components in this game is that dead players are still a part of the game, I think that ties into the "killing Devils will always be in your best interest" hint. Because if we succeed in lynching a Devil, that doesn't mean they're necessarily removed from the game. For all we know, all the Devils could get lynched but we still have to do something to win, because they're still playing while dead.
