...And as usual, I suck at paying attention.
"Public reveals by the moderator of a living player may be not be reliable."
No word that public reveals of a dead player might not be either. So Patricia was not a mechanic. One good theory gone west.

So Patricia was not a mechanic. One good theory gone west. Why/when would a living player be revealed in public? My wild guess is that it would come from the next level, (Heaven/Hell/whatever, i.e. where the dead players have gone to continue playing) and information can be passed to the living players via the Mod. For example, maybe a dead investigator can still use their power and share their information with the living.

For example, maybe a dead investigator can still use their power and share their information with the living. Maybe, maybe not. To my knowledge communicating with the dead players isn't that easy. I am not sure how many living players can communicate with the dead, just that I have been unsuccessful thus far. Please look to my next post for more information. I was planning on posting when I saw the speculation about killing roles, because I have some information that may/may not be useful.

The killing roles may not be as cut and dried as it seems. I know there is another faction at play and it is pagan. I do not know how many other pagan players there are, and if they exist what their roles would be.
I am going to go ahead and post a partial bit of my pm here. I have edited out how my messages work because I don't want any sneaky devils to try and use it to their advantage. I also edited out anything that had to do with sins for obvious reasons.
The first night I chose not to try and contact patricia because she had been a devil and I don't know how that could affect me or the game. I didn't want to open myself up to any devillish activities.
Last night I tried to open a channel to sisc but I got this response from the moderator.
From that response I would ass u me that I was blocked or maybe someone else has the ability to communicate with the deceased players and has maybe opened a channel to sisc. I would think that maybe that if more than one communication power role existed that each would only be able to have one channel open at a time.

it's possible that a player has to be dead for ( insert time frame here) before you can open a channel

it's possible that a player has to be dead for ( insert time frame here) before you can open a channel That is also another possibility. There aren't any specifications to that in my pm.

it's possible that a player has to be dead for ( insert time frame here) before you can open a channel For the power to have any worth, you would think immediate access would be required. How long can the game last? Adding a time requirement before being able to message each other seems like it would make it too hard to be useful. Maybe Sisc was unavailable or something else happened to make it fail.

I can confirm the Pagan win-con clues
I are one
If you recall I was first to post the clues from my PM
Imagine my surprise when I found out there were “ Christians”
Good thing our win cons match- eh?
For mafia purposes it seems that Christians and Pagans are “ Town” And if we work together we can beat the devils
Clever Mod put some of in a position where we had to decide if we were going to be truthful
I have chosen

Interesting. I figured there was going to be more to this than Christian vs. Devils.
So Christian vs. Pagan vs. Devils, or Christian & Pagan vs. Devils.
This puts Idle's information on lynching Christians in a whole new light. At this point it was either assumed we get it right and lynch a Devil, or get it wrong and get sin. I wonder if Pagans accumulate sin for lynching Christians, or if it is only Christian on Christian lynches.
Hmmmm.

Pagans? I bet that they have a wincon that is separate from the Christians. crys- It doe say that some players are unavailable, maybe SisC is one of those players?

I got the same message as Idle did about protection and I accepted.
I didn't have to do anything in the duel with Lauriern, I just got the PM at Dawn.
I did get Investigation results on D2 about what someone did on N1 and I haven't revealed them yet. I didn't get results for N2 as I knew I wouldn't. I don't want to go into details about why I didn't, it would give the Devils too much information and I don't think that's a good thing.

SilverJan- you pretty much spelt out that if you take the protection, you can't use your powers, like the cleaning power

Going to Wikipedia brings me to Paganism.
It refers to pagans as people who lived in the country, and who was resistant to Christian ideals.... I don't think I can post outside links, so go look yourself.
Color me confused

If you recall I was first to post the clues from my PM Imagine my surprise when I found out there were “ Christians” Good thing our win cons match- eh? Was this a factor in your treatment of Patricia? The reason why you hesitated to vote her? For mafia purposes it seems that Christians and Pagans are “ Town” And if we work together we can beat the devils If you were given the same three clues, that would seem to be the case but what's special about the Pagan team? How many gods do you believe in? Do you have off-board communication? I got the same message as Idle did about protection and I accepted. You received it during the Day? SilverJan- you pretty much spelt out that if you take the protection, you can't use your powers, like the cleaning power Where? That's not what Idle claimed, he said if he accepted the offer he couldn't be killed or investigated. Or were you referring to this: I did something silly yesterday too so don't expect an investigation from me toNight.

A non-Christian with the Christian wincon might be recruitable. That might also explain why there are so many mechanics. Some powers might trigger recruitment without the player's knowledge. (we know that some powers are unknown to the players that have them.)

So Christian vs. Pagan vs. Devils, or Christian & Pagan vs. Devils. My gut reaction was that Pagans are third party, but I'm not so sure. I do see that they could be a town ally, but what is the point of creating another category if they have the same wincon? I don't get it.

What are you referring to here? Look in the sign up thread, Guiri Right - from the Public Rules post. The exact wording is: Some powers may be hidden from the players who have them.

Yeah, I see what he was referring to now, I thought I'd missed something.
I doubt a player can accidentally trigger recruitment but even if they do, they still have an opt-out clause: "You will not change teams without your consent."

Was this a factor in your treatment of Patricia? The reason why you hesitated to vote her? It had nothing to do with it- my reasons were as previously stated same clues- no idea what makes Pagans and Christians different-when I read my PM I thought I was Town- no mention of gods in PM- no off board- no knowledge of others ~~snipped~~ Who’s to say Pagans are Town and Christians are third party?

Who’s to say Pagans are Town and Christians are third party? It is weird, for sure. So weird that I believe it wouldn't be made up. I don't have any direct or special evidence, but I believe Pagans and Christians are on the same team(I'm a Christian, by the way). All I can do is echo the question: If Pagans are on the same team as Christians, what's the point of having a separate distinction?

Uh, the part I left quoted wasn't really the relevant portion. I have no idea why I left that snippet.
