The unsettled mob rushes from one form to another. As the pale sun slowly sets, a scrum develops. After many tussles and wrangles, they manage to secure their charge with many coils of rope. Tossed into a convenient well, the struggling form slowly sinks to the bottom.
Pollux Oil The Gossip, a Christian Investigator has been lynched.
It is now Night Three. It will end tomorrow, Tuesday Feb 19 at 12n PT.

What? Is the vote count correct?

It does say "With the current vote count you don't know who will be lynched". I assumed it referred to the tie, but I guess it's a little further reaching?

Yeah at #405 Pollux had one vote less than Suburban and Texcat. There were no further votes before 2pm so the tie should have been between Suburban and Texcat, how did Pollux get lynched?
Farewell Pollux.

Erhm..Either Pleo made an error in counting, or someone is messing with the votes. Let's just hear what Pleo has to say and look at the final tally.

Some powers may be affected by game states or other powers. There may be vote or lynch shenanigans. Public reveals by the moderator of a living player may be not be reliable. I could sort of understand one of Suburban or Texcat being affecting by a vote manipulating power, but both? Or was it Pollux who was affected by some sort of secret extra votes?

Suburb has 6, as does tex. with 2 leaders, is it more likely Pollux had an increase than the leaders had a decrease?

The final vote count tally and the lynch result are correct.

It really looks like someone (or someones) saved those two from getting a lynch. For Sub Plank, I'm not as sure. Don't have a read on him one way or another...but I was already hugely suspicious of Texcat...and here she gets unexplainably saved? Riiiiiight.
Is it Day again yet so I can vote Texcat?

Sorry! I was out of town again. I am thinking the same thing but more tactfully worded, I'm sure. There were probably extra votes on Pollux, yeah, and it definitely could have been to defend one of Texcat and SP. And actually... I feel sufficiently "meh" on the both of them. I would probably be quicker to vote Texcat but I could definitely go for SP too. Oh hey, multiple votes. I love this game.

RyJae didn't die at lynch time, therefore Texcat is not a Devil. Don't you give me that..for all WE know, so far, he was blocked like he was Bill. We have to wait on word from him to see if his message result matches the one he got in my case or in Bill's case. Until then we don't know squat...and if he WAS blocked, then as far as I'm concerned, Texcat's alignment is still very much up for debate. You seem very eager to cuddle up to him and defend him here, though.

Pollux? Better luck in the afterlife! RyJae didn't die at lynch time, therefore Texcat is not a Devil. Actually I think that we will need confirmation from Ryjae that I did in fact accept her offer.

If my brain is working right ( and there is not a guarantee of that )
From the rules we have “There may be vote or lynch shenanigans” And “There are several secret mechanisms to break ties.”
Either- When there is a tied lynch the next one in line is lynched
OR There is a mechanic that Scum have to pound votes and they had someone to save
OR / AND? The ‘sin tally’ contained - or had the potential to contain valuable information against the Devils
Which Would mean that Devils can gain sins from their actions
It seems some “ power roles” gain or give sin with their actions Others that sinned could be looked at as possible devils
I’m not ready to believe that those who did not sin are not devils-maybe they didn’t want to use whatever they had yet – but a claimed investigator that has not sinned is suspect to me

I had a thought- what if sins count as votes against you? Interesting thought although I doubt it because to sin you have to do something and not just be passive, that's what I think anyway.

Pollux Oil has 5 votes from crys (312), texcat (359), BillMc (361), scathach (365), wombat99 (368).
Anyone from among these want to admit to being a double voter? It's not me anyway.

A claimed investigator that has not sinned is suspect to me Might I ask why an investigator in particular would be suspect? I assume you're not referring specifically to me, but I will answer this anyway in my own case... I haven't used my cardinal sin "ability", and my power does not require that I sin in order to use it. I'm going to be a douchebag here. Vote: Holy Moley to remove a penalty. As regards the lynch... I'm not even going to talk about that until daybreak. If there is a scumkill or recruitment power in play, why give the devils hinformation as to how I'm thinking?

Five minutes before end of day...? Yuck. I am keeping my vote where it is. I think a no lynch would be a bad idea in a game with recruitment rather than scumkills (which seems indicated). I got back to town last Night, sue me. Also, KidV, I wasn't referring specifically to my vote on you - it was my vote on Texcat that I meant. When there were fifteen minutes left, it was obvious you weren't going to be lynched, and so the "not lynching somebody before they've had a chance to respond" argument no longer applied. I put my vote down so there'd be an easily-visible record of what I was thinking for anybody looking at the votes later on. I voted who I was suspicious of.
