Lynch isn't by plurality this game, but rather by majority, which would usually end day. In simpler terms: Usually the person with the most votes is lynched in the Day. In these games...a person (one) must get a certain needed number of votes (more than HALF of all the players) to be lynched.... ...otherwise there is no lynch.* *Not sure if paranoia's game is like this....just explaining difference between plurality voting and majority voting

Anyway, wow, tons of roles in this one.
I think I'll play.

Idle Thoughts has it correct, just that a majority would also end day early, hence deadline votes.
I believe Texcat has already had experience with these sort of voting rules.

If anyone is confused by this- go look at Pleonast's Conspiracy games, they follow the same guidelines (minus the vote at EOD)

Can we non-deadline vote for more than one player at the same time? Can we deadline vote for more than one player at the same time? Can deadline votes be on the same players we have non-deadline votes on?
Does majority mean at least half of all votes, or at least half of all living players? Is it at least half or strictly greater than half? What happens if there's a tie?

Deadline votes are not bonus votes.
Everyone has only 1 vote, aside from anything power related. A player may place his vote as normal. If a player ever has a majority of votes on them, the phase ends and they are lynched. In order to avoid ending the phase early, a player may use a "deadline vote" in place of a regular vote. This is a vote that is only counted at the end of the phase.

Except in the rare cases that town wants to end the Day early, everyone should always use a deadline vote.

Yes to the first point, yes to the question. It is rare to not use deadline votes.
Also, deadline votes smell funny, lying is good for the town, and courageous people blitz-vote whenever possible.

so this guy gets up and his wife says you look like shit. he responds i feel wonderful. the wife is like you still look like shit you need to go see the doc.
otay.
so he goes to his doc and the doc say cripes you look like hell. and he responds but i feel wonderful. and the doc is like you look like shit, and he is like i feel wonderful.
the doc is perplexed so he goes to his/her dictionary of diagnosis and looks up looks like shit but feels great.
he goes back to the dude. and says: you are a vagina.

but in all seriousness i/c sucks unless you like cspan 24/7. jeebuz. i really think we could have found bin laden a lot earlier if we would have just exposed the captives to a shit load of connie chung and a "clear" diet. no fucking need for waterboarding at that point.

public service announcement:
we sponsor dogs that are set to go to poochy paradise. no matter where you are please consider fostering/adopting a dog from a shelter. it costs money, it demands time, it tests your patience level, it drives the permanent dogs/cats/birds/chinchillas bat crazy and it results in the best feeling you will ever have. no shit, my friends.

I'm not quite sure I completely understand what I'm getting myself into here just yet, but sign me up. I'll take some time to reread the rules and vote on a Role Set later. peeker, I'm glad you're feeling better...you are feeling better, right? I'll give our two shelter dogs some extra skritchies tonight on your behalf

way to go burby. five of our nine our going to new hampshire. three are staying in san antonio and one is still on the blocks (i.e. i guess she is ours). i was kidding around with the folks at work and told them i was trying to get them used to a little colder climate so i would stick them in the freezer for about ten minutes at a time. some of the folks (the ones that know me) giggled the rest cursed at me with colorful language.
and this is no shit. we got these fellers and mom when the pups were about 2 days old. so the last 9 weeks have been a tad hectic. so we are glad and sad that they are going to their forever homes. but i get a call from the missus yesterday. *drum roll* you betcha there is another litter whose "exit" date is saturday (if you kill the pups before they are a week old it doesn't count against your no kill percentages). this time it is only 6 pups so it's gotta be easier thinks the peek. i have been known to be delusional, however.

good to see you as well guiri. hopefully you have become a little less competent during my absence. unless you are on my team, however.
but in all actuality it's great to see all of you folks again. when the missus asks you where do you want your ashes scattered it's kind of like, oh carp. of course, when i told her i wanted them to be a dry rub on the next brisket or rack of baby backs she immediately left.

peek be sad and glad at same time. the pups are off to new hampshire (sad) but they will find good forever homes (glad). they are kind of like kids. how come your baby daughter can't stay three years old forever? smelling like johnson's baby shampoo in a terry cloth robe reading goodnight moon. COW. MOON. BALLOON. HUSHHHH.

Nice to see you're back peeker Also adding a +1 to your statement, we adopted 2 dogs from a shelter about a year ago and it's one of the best things we ever did. As an addendum, lurchers and greyhounds are awesome dogs that are overlooked too often as pets despite being big massive lapdogs
