I'm here I'm here! Sorry I missed the N0 thread, as I said in the N0 thread, this is the first time I've been on my PC in the last 24-48 hours for more than a few minutes to check things. Also for the next week just OOG, I will probably not be around much. Work is punishing me for trying to take weekends off, and have me scheduled for massive hours this week (didn't anyone tell them it's a holiday week! UGH)

Well, my flight has been canceled and I now am traveling tomorrow during the entire day. Gotta love it. Santa Barbara to Phoenix and they tell me "weather" canceled my flight tonight. Odd.

Anyway, I don't see why agreeing with Pleo about confirming makes me look bad. Sitting around waiting for everyone to confirm is a waste of time. Remember, I was scum in the last game and relied on Town not participating(well, I wouldn't say relied....more like took advantage of). I'm Town in this game, but if Town or Scum are lazy and don't play, then we don't need to wait for them to confirm to start and, well, more power to the team that benefits from it.

I think it would depend on what powers, etc. both teams have, but 4 isn't unreasonable.

I can't stop wondering what the motivation is for multi-voting out of the gate could be. I would like to think it stands on it's face to be anti-town.

Can we not define something as being anti-town if it means town wouldn't do it?

But then again, anti town and pro scum are not necessarily the same thing....

I thought I could multivote and wanted to get the ball rolling. 4 scum in 16 players is to be expected based on either the 25% or square root conventions. The existence of strong scum powers, third parties or other weird roles may allow for a smaller scum team.

Why? Whether there's any evidence to support the vote or not, putting players on the spot to engage with them and judge their reaction can be a useful technique. Sure, some players will simply wave it off as a joke, others may react in an overly defensive manner (for a single caseless early D1 vote), others will go on the offensive. The fun part is trying to figure out each player's motivation based on their actions. What would you rather do at the start of D1 in a game with no apparent special mechanics, discuss anti-town vs pro-scum?

First off, I don't have one.

From the onset of this game, once we had a title, the thought that one or more roles would require posting in rhymes crossed my mind. If I were the Mod, I would think long and hard about passing that up, and in the end I probably wouldn't.

So, you asked why I am hung up on that, and that is why. I just wanted to see if the Mod was hung up on that as well, or indeed, occupying himself with any post restrictions in general.

At the point I didn't get an answer here, I figured I misread the ambitious instructions on asking questions pertaining to the rules for this game.

Good old fashioned Day 1 antics. Glad to be back in a game where I have my bearings, or at least think I have them. Casting votes for reaction strikes me as null. So does multi-voting when there is no multi-voting. Meeko worrying out loud about stuff that doesn't come to mind for many others strikes me as a null tell.

Accusing Guiri of being opportunistic might not be a null tell and may betray a bit of P.I.S. but it is too early to tell.
