Another sad fateful Night, for two more people: Incy Wincy Spider climbing up the spout Down came the rain and washed the spider out. The flood was so great, he went straight down the drain And Incy Wincy Spider was never seen again.
AskThePizzaGuy aka Incy Wincy Spider (Knave of Hearts - Roleblocker) has been washed away. Simple Simon met a pieman going to the fair; Said Simple Simon to the pieman "Let me taste your ware" Gave the pieman to Simple Simon, A pastie laced with cyanide. Said Simon's ghost unto the pieman, "Tasted great, but now I've died" Pleonast aka Simple Simon (Duke of York - Miller) ate something that disagreed. Day Three will end at 8pm BST on Monday 22th July.

Nicely done Pleo. So it looks like we have a pro-town vig, who is within a pool of six unknowns.
Dizzy anything to declare?

Nicely done Pleo. So it looks like we have a pro-town vig, who is within a pool of six unknowns. Dizzy anything to declare? I guess we should thank Pleo for getting himself killed instead of a power role. It is a feat for a miller to get NK'd instead of lynched. And I'm still not convinced that we have a pro-town vig and not a 3rd party SK trying to look like a pro-town vig by taking out Pizza for us. I still think Pleo was wrong about letting the vig take out Gnarly last night. If we had done that then we would have had to waste a lynch on Pizza Today. I guess I can see in hindsight why Pleo might have advocated for it, and it's immediately obvious why Pizza would initially agree with him, but why did Cookies agree with him? Six unknowns? You must know a lot more than I do.

Argh. Bye Pleo That's some interesting revisionist history there, Texcat. If we had done as Pleo and I suggested, we may not have lynched the Town cop last night. And since when is using a lynch to hang a scum ever a 'wasted lynch'? Gnarly didn't have to die in order for us to get Pizza. We may have caught on to Pizza with some more time and information. I've already explained why I agreed with Pleo, but I'm happy to say it again. 1)Choosing between two cop claims on Day 2 is risky as there's not a lot of information with which to build a context around the conflicting claims. 2)The more information we have, the less risky that choice becomes. 3)One way to acquire information is to allow time to pass, cycles to switch, powers to be used and possibly shared, and dead bodies to flip. 4)Maybe, if given the chance, night killer(s) would save us from making a 50/50 coin toss with a lynch. I did say that I leaned toward believing Pizza, but before I said that, I said that I would rather not have to make such an uninformed choice on the matter, but would rather defer it to a later and more-informed time.

Arg, I just lost my whole post. Texcat I'm in agreement with you that just because a player took out Pizza it doesn't make them necessarily a Town Vig vs a Serial Killer. The obvious choice for either player for Town credit is to kill Pizza. Anyway, back to the results I was posting. Night 1I watched Gnarly- Gnarly had 2 visitors
- Pizza was Visitor #1. I didn't out him during the debacle yesterday, because he already claimed he visited Gnarly as an investigator. Adding that I saw him there didn't mean anything. Pizza fooled me, and that sucks.
- What do we as a group feel about my releasing Visitor #2's name. I'm still concerned that this player is our Town Doctor, and that's why I'm hesitant about releasing it.
Night 2I watched Pizza to see if there might be any kind of Scum doctor or anything on him. - Pizza only had 1 Visitor.
- Back to my statement up above that well Pizza was the obvious choice for the kill for N1 regardless of whether He is a Vig or a Serial Killer. I AM going to release this name, I think it's only fair for us to know where the kill is coming from.
So that leads me to my next question.... Colby Do you have any interest in sharing what you did Night 1. I don't know which of the targets was your kill, but I don't quite understand either of the players killed on N1 as a Vig kill? Care to explain???

I decided to target Silver Jan because she seemed to throw a smudge onto Guiri without voting for him, which read as scum.. DO NOT REVEAL THE DOCTOR. That's my advice.

So it looks like we have a pro-town vig, who is within a pool of six unknowns. Six unknowns? You must know a lot more than I do. <both quotes snipped>We currently have 10 players remaining in the game. If Bill is saying there are 6 unknowns, that must mean that he knows the identity of 4 players. He could be trying to tell us that there is a 4-man Masonry, but that seems a bit excessive for a game of this size. Dizzy has claimed Watcher, so he could be including her in the list of 'knowns', but I see no reason that he should do so. It could be that the Masons have an investigative power, and this is Bill's not-so-terribly-subtle way of letting us know. Or, he might have made a basic mathematics error, or perhaps he simply pulled the number out of thin air just 'cause...

I usually think of unknowns as anyone who hasn't claimed or been outed by someone as being/doing something but YMMV. They have no skin in the game so to speak, which also means the scum have to burn powers to be sure about them. Someone who has claimed, even if unconfirmed, has some skin in the game. Long-winded way of saying that I thought Bill was just counting with Dizzy not an unknown, because she claimed something.

I agree that Dizzy should let the 2nd visitor to gnarly remain anonymous for now.
I want to go ahead and renew my vote for Colby toDay. I still think he seems scummy (which I will elaborate on, hopefully tomorrow, when I get to Atlanta.)
Vote: Colby

I vote to keep the doc's ID hidden as well. I would love to say that Pizza had me fooled as well but it was really my belief that Charlie had edited his PM that earned my vote. The color in the power part of his claim really seems to lack the color in the rest of the PM.

I still don't understand what Pizza hoped to gain by the one for one trade. Even if it was our investigator, I don't see how scum thought it would be a good move. That's why I thought Pizza had to be telling the truth, I still can't understand the scum motivation for counter claiming.

For my part, I got too attached to my line by line case against gnarly, that I couldn't begin to switch votes over to pizza, even after I FOSs him, and asked him again to post his results, and he again he artfully dodged me.
I really, REALLY thought that my line by line case against gnarly was one of my top five moments in mafia.
Good play, bad timing.

I do not recall what a miller is. Can someone refresh my memory? Pizza fooled me, too. I was so torn between them. The Miller Role I'm familiar with is a Town player that when investigated returns a result of Scum. Sometimes the person knows they have this faulty investigation result, sometimes the person is told they are just vanilla town.

Out of all that is left, here is the confirmed/unconfirmed list.
Jaade Texcat DarkCookies Meeko patricia Mahaloth Suburban
Colby- claimed town Vig BillMC- claimed town mason Dizzy- claimed town watcher
Bill- if you could tell us who your partner(s) are, it would help me out a lot tonight.
My thoughts- If my memory serves me right, Patricia claimed to see Pizza's claim on Day 2, yet didn't say anything until Pizza showed us.... Smells fishy.
Vote: Patricia
I am also suspicious of Suburban Plankton, but I think that I am suspicious of him every game, so it's a null tell for me.
The others, I am kinda unsure about, so I will leave it at that. I think analyzing the vote count will help alot

I'm now looking the hardest at Suburban, Texcat, Jaade, and patricia. I'm actually inclined to believe all of the claims that have been made at this point. As such, a mass claim seems like it could be a useful thing right about now, to see how/if any new information impacts those reads on the claims already on the table.
Patricia and Jaade have made lesser impressions on me though, I'd be more inclined to vote in Suburban or Texcat's direction right now.

I did realized that Pizza was lying... Of course no one believed me.... *glares at everyone else* I'm not sure I understand you here. You say you "realized" Pizza was lying. That implies that you "came to know" he was lying. Are you claiming that you had "knowledge" of Pizza's alignment, and if so, how? Or did you mean to say that you "strongly believed" that Pizza was lying?

Or did you mean to say that you "strongly believed" that Pizza was lying? I realized that the PM that Pizza provided was a fake because of the fact that he didn't have a "you will get a message at dawn about the alignment." I had a real strong feeling after realizing that. It should be apparent that I changed my mind when I was going after Gnarly for most of Day 2, then saw that and went for Pizza instead

As I said, he did a great job convincing people. I would have switched if someone else leaned a bit on pizza after I did. Unless Colby is doing a town cred power grab gambit now.......
