You know what? The formatting on proboards is killing me. I can't seem to get it to work properly. So if there are weird color issues in any of these posts, just assume that everything is on the up and up and I promise not to do anything sneaky with the colors.
NIGHT FOUR
NY Times - Obituary Section, Page 2 Steven Thomas Mulhearney, 34, of New York, NY, passed away yesterday afternoon peacefully in his sleep, assuming he fell asleep shortly before he was lynched by an angry mob. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on whatever day we all get out of this island-sized insane asylum. Officer Mulhearney was born in Brooklyn, NY. For the past ten years, Mr. Mulhearney served as a prison guard at Sing Sing Maximum Security Correctional Facility, Ossining, New York. He is survived by...
NY9 Late News Broadcast - transcript (11:58PM) TOM: ...and that's what happens when you put bees in a blender. Linda? LINDA: Thanks, Tom. In other news, tonight, authorities announced that the diminutive crime lord doing business under the name "The Big Figure" was found dead in his Manhattan apartment this afternoon. Mr. Figure evidently sat down in his easy chair and then just decided never to get up again. Indeed, police note, it is possible that Mr. Figure was not in fact dead at all, but "just resting very, very quietly." In any case, a short trip to the crematorium downtown settled the issue once and for all. I guess you could say he was burned by his silence, huh, Tom? Now, here's Jason, with more bad news from Jets camp, where...

Meeko, who was Officer Mulhearney, a Third Party Jailer, has been lynched.
Jaade, who was Big Figure, a Third Party Politician, has been modkilled.
Night Four begins now and will end on Sunday, September 15, at 5:00PM Eastern.

This place has a serious 3rd party infestation.

I suppose the speculation about scum protecting one of their own is now moot.

BUT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!! THERE'S MORE!!!!!!!!!
May I ask you, ladies and gentlemen, to give your attention to the man at the center of Town? He may look old, and frail, but once - many years ago, but once - the streets of this fine city were abuzz with his name. He has a message for all of you: "Thanks for the entertainment, and letting me perform one last trick before I die. I mean, it won't be very long. Because the kind of cancer I have? It's not the kind you get better from. Though... I guess, with me, you never can tell, right?" He grins, and with a flourish, he is simply... no longer there.
Sister Coyote, who was Moloch the Mystic (Third Party Redirector), has achieved her win condition and will now leave the game.
Few of them notice the smile on the face of the small, wiry man with an outdated moustache; indeed, it's not for some hours that they notice he has gone at all.
dizzymrslizzy, who was Laurence Schexnayder (Third Party Town Recruiter), has also achieved her win condition and exits as well.

I think storyteller is trying to set a record for most 3rd Parties in a game. The formatting on proboards is killing me. I can't seem to get it to work properly. I just click BBCode and do everything there, with an interface very similar to SDMB (or old Proboards?) You can do some edits first and then switch to BBCode but will end up with useless and distracting "span ... /span" etc.

well. I'm assuming with this many third parties and potential recruitments that the scum team started with fewer numbers than normal.
Maybe.
Hopefully.

So. Swammer. Buddy.
Tell us about your wincon.
Because, see, it seems like if you just needed to disarm bombs, you'd have left the game when it became moot. Like those two just did.
I am curious what you're still doing here if your role is only what you said it was.

For me to win, the implanting faction (BillMc only, I assume) needed to lose and I need to survive.

IANA Swammer, but I can't imagine that Story would have a 3rd party 'bomb-diffuser' win condition that could be met instantly if the bomber ends up dead. There is no skill needed for such a win. I would WAG that such a win condition would be something like "you win if you diffuse x number of bombs, or if you are still alive when town or scum win".

That's believable, and kind of what I assumed, but... With as many third parties as we have, I wanted to hear it from the horse's mouth. I'll be honest, I was hoping there was more to it (since survivor is a hard and frustrating wincon to have and a difficult ally to rely on, but ohhh well. Actually what I really wanted was to find out he was town and had just claimed third party to avoid being targeted, given how town-light this game is, but that was just wishful thinking: as many people as we just lost, we might be a lot closer to an overrun than I had initially thought. The scumteam must be tiny.

Congrats to SisC and Dizzy!
The scum team might have started tiny, but if SisC is to be believed they have the ability to get larger. I keep wondering which 3rd party has been turned.
