And my oh my, already an interesting start out of the gate. That said I'm inclined to believe a claim like that - at least to a degree.

I've heard the phrase "kiss of death". Is there a "kiss of protection"?

In the Oz books, yes, though it was bestowed by the Good Witch of the North, and saved Dorothy's backside more than once.

I've not been spoiled yet, so let me try some scum-hunting. Big FOS at Silver Jan who wrote: "Iknew it was too late to save swammer, sorry. I just wishe he had put more of his thoughts down"
(1) Earlier she wrote as though saving me was a priority. She could have voted one of the other leaders and done so. (2) I didn't emphasize my thoughts (at two pennies I'd be overcharging for their value), but I hardly kept them secret. I suggested town leans on SP and FG and with my multivotes indicated three Scum leans. Not bad for my typical Day 1 confusion! (And it wouldn't have happened without multi-voting.)
ETA: OTOH, minor typos in SJ's quote above suggest spontaneity rather than premeditation. Town tell?

ETA: OTOH, minor typos in SJ's quote above suggest spontaneity rather than premeditation. Town tell? Or they suggest not caring enough about the post to really honestly be trying to support a dead townie. Badly written posts are pretty much a null tell. If they had to have a leaning it'd be slightly town, but only ever so slightly.

I'm very surprised to have been targeted for the sleepkill whatever-it-is night one, honestly. I was really trying to seem scummy enough the scum wouldn't want to bother with me, but not so obviously anti-town a vig would hit me. Unless it was random or whoever picked me just doesn't like me, I'm a bit baffled; it's not like I have a reputation as a dangerous player yet. I just talk too much.
I almost claimed towards the end of the day, just to throw some wine in the scum's NK choices and potentially extend the doc's protection by a day if we were lucky, and I kind of wish I had now.

Seriously - has everyone lost their memory or something? If I'm missing something please tell me, but WHY would Mahaloth step in to prevent a Town mislynch (mine) if he were Scum???
