1. Unvote: archangel
2. I've missed the whole Day so far; for all I know, I'm about to get lynched. It was a much busier weekend then planned. I'm going to catch up and post as I go.

Unvote: Unvote Johnny Bravo Vote: StorytellerPeeker, this vote illustrates my attitude toward lurking. As Lightfoot noted, life can get in the way whatever alignment. But popping in for one post to agree with a plan made by another player and having nothing else to say...that's how scum lurk when they're lurking on purpose. The above post is from Page 2, Reply 58 overall. As it turns out, I totally deserved this, because I vanished for most of the Day. But at the time the post was made, it had been only about 24 hours since my last post, and barely a full page of posts. Launching an accusation of lurking after such a short time seems bizarre. Again, the power of this point is muted somewhat by the fact that I did, in fact, not post for several days in a row. But at the time you made this post, it had been only a Day. It seems like an easy excuse for a vote.

Did the rest of you guys not find this interesting? Yes, and then I forgot about it. Paul has an ability, it sucks, and he's not telling us what it is except that it exists. Why bother saying anything if you're not going to elaborate? Will revealing it at least give us some information about the mechanics of the game that might benefit Town? Either: (1) You believe that Paul is Scum, in which case "revealing" would be meaningless because he could reveal any old thing, with any relationship to the truth he wants; or (2) You believe that Paul is Town, in which case he is probably a better judge of whether a reveal helps Town than any of us. Why do you want to know his role? What Town advantage accrues from knowing? Do you think Paul is Scum? Then vote for him. But if you believe that he has a Town role and it sucks, then you shouldn't be voting for him because you're voting for someone you believe to be Town. Let's give an example (this is purely hypothetical, I know nothing): Paul could be a mandatory vigilante. This is a role that I, personally, consider to be a net negative for Town when balancing; Paul might feel the same way. But if revealed, the role could be subject to all kinds of manipulation. As for saying anything at all about the role - I actually think doing it, in this particular case, is close to a Town move than a Scum move. Consider: if Scum, Paul has now dramatically limited his options for claiming to avoid a lynch. He can't claim Doc or Cop or anything unambiguously positive or even neutral. A false claim of mandatory vig (as I suggested above) will work just fine unless there's an actual mandatory vig in the game, in which case Paul will not last long at all. If placed under lynch pressure, Paul has now short-circuited all of the usual ways for Scum to slip the noose, leaving himself with nothing but a (in the world where Paul is lying Scum) false claim that is unlikely to save him. Could it be an elaborate double-bluff? Maybe. It certainly doesn't prove Paul is Town. But I also disagree quite strongly that it suggests the opposite.

I'm going to continue with my feelings on Paul. I think he was being really picky jumping on Meeko early in the game, and I don't like his magic bag that he has an ability but no he's not sharing it.
I'm not comfortable with the Lightfoot lynch, even though she tried desperately to throw some heat on me for no reason.
Vote: Paul

For the record "as we have some players I haven't played with as of yet" I'm not a big poster. I read the thread daily and usually get my vote in. But if I don't have some thing to add I don't post - that my style.
As it is day one I don't have a strong scum feel on anyone but I do have enough to vote
Vote: Lightfoot
This vote is not because of her saying that black gem are good for scum (I kinda get that) no not really but I don't think her feeling that makes her scummy.
What I do find scummy is her posts on page 6 one after another, being helpful, pointing out who voted who didn't, pointing a finger at dizzy for her post but not reading why she was posting as a guest (skimming) using the I may have to claim as a reason to get people to unvote her etc. These are things I might do as scum if I was the vote leader. Is it a weak sauce case yes, is it day one yes.

I have a ½ hour before I head to work- I will do my damn best to get back in before EOD ~~snipped~~ I'm not comfortable with the Lightfoot lynch, even though she tried desperately to throw some heat on me for no reason. Vote: Paul Tried desperately??? I caught an inconsistent post and asked you about it (I only saw it because I was trying to see the vote count) Btw you did not say you couldn’t sign in you only said you had computer issues – to be accurate For the record "as we have some players I haven't played with as of yet" I'm not a big poster. I had already said I would do a thorough read through when I got home from work- I did so and comments as I saw fit- and see above It may not be your play style but I added what I could when I could in an effort to help the progression of the game
Not an easy vote, more of a poke. Given that you didn't respond to it until now I'm inclined to believe that you were just busy.
Unvote: Unvote Storyteller
Vote: Meeko
I agree with your conclusions here, Storyteller, and I think Meeko's attempts to continue to goad Paul are anti-town at worst, scummy at best. It may be town on town fighting but at this point if it is it's gone too far.
If Lightfoot is lynched and flips town I'll be suspicious of JohnnyBravo. And I'm suspicious of Peeker because he's lying way low. I'm torn on Lightfoot because I think the argument against her is lame when she explained what she meant by her vote of Mahaloth, but her accusation of DizzyMrs.Lizzy strikes me as false because we have had the same situation on this board multiple times (I now use xarchangelx instead of Archangel because I'm locked out of the latter) and IIRC all the people who did it were town.
Re no lynch, I think that we have too much data now for a no lynch to be helpful for town.

an hour to go- I don't see anything changing note who helped lynch me and who didn't try to prevent it Every hero should have a sword, but sadly all you could get was a Sword Gem. You are the Town Vigilante, and every night you may kill another player by a PM to me

For the record, I'm voting for Paul because of Lightfoot's claim. He's claimed a power that's detriment to town and she's claimed a power that is helpful to town. But I don't think Paul is scum and I hate voting for someone I think is town.

Yeah... at this point it's me or Lightfoot. I'm debating whether or not I should switch and vote for myself just so there isn't a swing and Lightfoot ends up hanging... I dunno... I'm not sure I trust Lightfoot... and i know I'm town... I'm gonna leave my vote on Meeko and see if any last minute hijinx occur. I am in the lead for votes now right?

It may be town on town fighting but at this point if it is it's gone too far.
I don't follow. Would you rather I lurk?! Paul made a comment. Obviously he felt it was important, otherwise he wouldn't have said it. Because he has, for whatever reason, removed himself from the game, we have to look at what he has contributed. It is a piece of the puzzle that will gather dust, and quickly, if we ignore it. You seem to want to do this. What is the motivation here? It occurs to me, that Paul's claim is ambiguous. One option, Is that he is Town aligned, with a power that as others have stated, is a net negative to town. The other, he is scum and needs to be lynched. Would scum not want their power to go to town? I'm sure the mechanic of a power or even complete role switching sides at "death" is not unheard of. But no. Conversation is bad, Meeko. Bad Raccoon! How dare you try to actually play Mafia. Leave it alone while everyone makes last minute vote changes and jump on bandwagons. You can' the in the game right now, you might catch us scum doing something.

Conversation is not bad. Brawling to the exclusion of any other discussion is bad, for town. You may well both be town (I thought he was wrong about you just like I think you're wrong about him). But continuing to goad him after he's asked for a sub does not benefit town and is obnoxious to boot.
