The parting words of Sneaky Sam, Wannabe Pirate:
I'm not going to reveal my night one investigation. It may or may not have been Idle Thoughts.
Day two we were lucky enough to have ArizonaTeach claim for both himself and FlyingCowOfDoom. Obviously, I was going mason-hunting night 2, in an effort to weed out our presumed doctor. What I did was take the list of remaining players, and cross out everyone who cast suspicion on AZ or FCOD, and everyone AZ or FCOD cast suspicion upon. I was left with I think about 3 players or so.
The most likely suspect looked to be Pleonast, given his late vote change to MHaye on Day 2, which in retrospect was looking like an attemp to save FlyingCowOfDoom.
Jackpot!
However, Pleonast was not Doctor Livesey. Pleonast is Squire Trelawney. Really, Pleonast, do you have a lifetime Mason membership card or something?
What's this? Wasn't FCOD Squire Trelawney? Apparently not!
It seems AZ told a bit of a fib concerning FCOD's role when he jumped in to save FCOD. At this point I was about 90 percent sure that FCOD was the doc, although it remained possible that AZ himself could be the doc, but I found it more plausible he just flipped FCOD/Pleonast's roles.
Day 3 I started breadcrumbing that Pleonast was the third mason/officer, referring to him as "my old mason pal Pleonast" and so forth. AZ seemed to pick up on this. I also decided to role-claim CS should I come under any suspicion, in an attempt to drag CS out of the shadows, or at the very least give the pirates some hints as to whom he may or may not be.
My last post of day 3 was pretty much an open letter to the pirates, where I again practically came out and told you all that Pleonast was a mason, and that "If I were a pirate, I'd want to kill AZ or FCOD". Even if I got killed that night, they'd go back and read that one, and figure it out.
Sadly, the pirates attacked me night 3! On the other hand, I was lucky enough to get doc protection and was able to investigate FlyingCowOfDoom, where I was able to verify 100% that FlyingCowOfDoom is Doctor Livesey.
Day 4 my only concern was that the Pirates not waste another kill attempt on me. I could either come right out and tell everyone who I was and what I learned, I could claim that I witnessed nothing and let the day proceed, and blurt it out at the end.
Or, I could frame Idle Thoughts, who I suspected was town. I was concerned about that "markings" thing, and was not sure whether or not it was in effect if CS did not die. Unfortunately, it was.
At that point, I saw no point in defending myself, as my job was pretty much done. I can't detect Steele's identity, nobody would trust me from then on out, and the only person left to find would be Ben. At that point my death was little better than a no-lynch vote. So I held off til the last minute, and hey, at least day four concentrated on Idle and I, instead of looking for and lynching real pirates (I don't "count" for either side).
Anyway, I had a good time. Have fun, you all, and I'll see you on the other side.
Go Pirates!

The storm dies down during the day, but rages unabated aboard the Hispaniola. Eventually it emerges that the villainous zuma has been lying through his teeth in an attempt to get an innocent man hanged! There is only one punishment harsh enough for such a vile crime.
A rope is passed under the ship's bowsprit, and while the ends are carried amidships to either side, the bight of the rope is allowed to dangle below her keel. Then each end is made fast to one of zuma's wrists, and the miscreant is pitched over the starboard side. Several hands draw on the rope at the larboard gunwale, until zuma is dragged under, and the rope is brought in by inches. Eventually zuma breaks the surface on the larboard side. His flesh is torn to ribbons by the razor-sharp barnacles adorning the Hispaniola's bottom, though it seems as though drowning may have brought an end to his ordeal.
zuma (Sneaky Sam) has been keelhauled. Day Four is over. Night people, get cracking.
