Dark Souls 2 Night Three – Ship Ahoy! For the first time, one of them decided to fight. Absent a cliff as handy as the one in Majula, the general consensus was to pitch Chameleon from the side of the ship, now bound for the Lost Bastille.
Chameleon was less than receptive. She stood with her back to the rails, the ocean mist making her fine, faded armor glow. Slowly she turned to face them one after another, holding an enormous sword defensively. After a moment, though, her face changed as she considered the odds. She cast her eye toward the bow of the ship, where the Chosen Undead peered oblivious through the shifting fog. And then Chameleon screamed:
‘Death to the Chosen! Long live the Eternal Dragon!’
With that, Chameleon catapulted past the startled mob, sword raised. With one blow she would strike its head from its body. It would come back, of course – they always come back – but at least it would be something. She’d have made it, too. But BillMc was quicker. Gliding effortlessly in front of the Chosen, he brought up his blue spear and ran Chameleon through instantly.
Chameleon, who was Creighton the Wanderer, part of the Dragon Remnant Covenant (Hostile), has been lynched (Bill had nothing to do with it, that was just color).
From the rail they heard a sickening cry; the one called patricia, subject of so much discussion over the last two days, stared at them suddenly sightless through her Hollowed eyes. A gout of blood, and she was gone.
patricia, who was Felkin the Outcast, a member of the Royal Rat Covenant (Hostile), has succumbed to poison.
And once again, someone – someone clever and quiet and quick as a snake – took advantage of the opportunity. There was a shout and a hot blast of something, and BillMc, protector of the Way of the Blue to the last, was no more.
BillMc, who was Blue Sentinel Targray, part of the Way of the Blue, has been Daykilled.--- Night Three begins here, and will end at approximately 12:30PM Eastern time on Saturday, August 30. Very importantly, I have ended the Day on time to keep the game moving, but I am not able to send out PMs right now about soul transfers and the like. I will do this tomorrow morning as early as I can manage to climb out of bed, but for now I’m going to need to leave for a bit. Thanks!

Two hostiles from different covenants! The Dragon Remnant one apparently attempted to recruit MentalGuy last Night. abstain, how many souls did you get? Did no-one else receive a gift of souls or soapstones, just Patricia?

Okay, well that seems like a fairly successful day with the exception of Bill.

that was a very good result. two town for one hostile is already good. two hostiles for one town is great.
props to the poisoner. you have as much cred as possible short of dying.
i assume patricia was traditional scum. i expect we will have at least one attack toNight unless they have a twist where they are the Day killers. i doubt she was the last. because of the recruitment offer to mentalguy the Dragon faction might be dead.
we might have a slowdown of attacks if we can call it that. some phases we have whimpers. others we have fireworks.

Creighton is someone I would've guessed to be a serial killer or a third party with the explicit goal of killing Pate - who is now very likely to be a character in this game. I don't recall Creighton being part of the Dragon Remnants Covenant in the game, as only Magerold the merchant is IIRC. Felkin the Outcast is obsessed with Dark in the game, but rat covenant being evil is something I foresaw anyway, there were only a few choices for evil covenants. Sentinel Targray being a member of the way of the blue eliminates the covenant of sentinels of blue from this game, they're like a subset of good guys.
Dragon Remnants means a few things - a person called magerold might be in this game, a person called Pate is highly likely to be in this game, and could very well be in the same covenant - though if not that, then either neutral third party or WOTB. Alternatively, a 'dragon' called Aldia could very well be in this game.
If Dark is being mixed with the rat covenant, then you can expect possibly Darkdiver Grandahl and the rat king to be members of that covenant.
The poisoner has little cred with me, with this amounnt of warring hostile groups, very likely they are actually scum.

abstain , perhaps. i would be wary though of your use of your knowledge. i doubt the mod would make it that easy.
can we get an updated player list?

Ok, since nothing is going on can anyone tell me what this means: :33 My niece said it is from homestruck? I am old and feeble and have an onion on my belt but I don't know why. Helps.

i assume patricia was traditional scum. Why? I'm not disagreeing with you, but I don't know why you think the one hostile Covenant is more likely to be 'traditional Scum' than the other. In any case, I'm not sure it makes much of a difference since they all have to be eliminated in the end.

I'd like to apologize again (and hopefully for the last time) for my participation in this game. It's been rather a whirlwind week for me...I finally got a long-deserved promotion at work (more money, and apparently a proportionate increase in the number of meetings I need to attend), and we found out one of our dogs needs ACL surgery (so much for the 'more money'part, and apparently pit bulls are prone to knee problems...who knew?). So I've found myself sitting in meeting rooms all day, and tending to a gimpy dog all evening. Looks like I need to do a bit better 'time management' and find a way to carve out 15 minutes a day for 'fun stuff' like Mafia.

Oh, yeah. I guess the text color is sort of a give-away, isn't it? I need to get my head in this game a bit better, obviously. As to the 'why it matters': I agree with you regarding 'hostile teams' vs. 'hostile players'...to a point. It does make a difference in terms of how we try to identify them, but they're all pretty much the same when it comes to the 'needs killing' part.
