What it says on the box. Feel free to move to a sub-board or something?
Relax, everybody. I'm not playing this time, not even as a sub. ;D

And dotchan! No subbing?! It truly IS the apocalypse! Yeah, I'm already in one game and waiting on the sidelines for another, plus I've been inspired to write stuff again. As much as I wish I could multitask, I'm not very good at it.

...and so begins the usual Day 1 blathering about Mod Color.
Sigh. I, for one, usually try to make it my job to not give anything away except for the identity of the dead. (It's why I asked the killing parties to submit their own gruesome methods of death.)
Trying to out-guess the Mod seldom ends well.
Look, you guys, it's the Town's job to trade its numbers for information. You'll definitely know more about the setup as the Days go by. Discussing hypotheticals is only marginally useful in catching people who might be displaying Perfect Information Sydrome, but it's also an opportunity for scum to sow confusion in the name of talking about the potential game setup.

And we always forget that power roles also have extra information. It's that kind of paranoia that kills lots of innocent townies.

Uhhh, what's so hard to figure out people? [Directed at the confused players, not the people in this thread.]
Hal is breadcrumbing that he's one of those posessed by the demons rather than a demon that looks like a townie, and he believes that an exorcism will turn him into a townie. He also believes that all demons of this type have already been chosen (as opposed to being recruited into a demon of that type during game progression). He is also post restricted from coming out and saying this directly.
Darth mentioned this possibility. Hal is confirming it. Now people can argue about whether or not they believe him, but saying you don't understand him looks to me like they're not paying attention.

I think I'll answer that one with a big "I don't and I'm not".
If I am called up as a sub, this is going to be an interesting one, because I already think the town (or mostly them) are making / being led to make assumptions that IMO could very well be wrong. The thing is, Hal and Darth aren't the only ones "bread-crumbing", if that's the term. There've been a couple of posts that maybe people should be paying more attention to that suggest to me that maybe a couple of people know more than they're letting on. Because they're town with roles, or because they're scum? I don't know. It also occurred to me that this might be a "recruitment" style game, but Hal and possibly Darth may have put this theory to bed?
This is turning out very interesting indeed.

I want to know when they're going to get around to lynching someone... too many FOSs, not enough bold, mostly unfounded accusations.

Mister Blockey sounds CRAZY INCREDIBLY suspicious to me. Seriously, LYNCH him?! Why would town do that on DAY ONE!!?! I think he's played games already, so he can't use the "I'm an newbie" excuse.

Geez, this is, what, the third closed setup game on this board at least, and everybody is still repeating the same mistakes as before?

By the way, anybody that isn't a sub that wants spoiler board access please feel free to PM me and I'll give you access to the spoiler board. It's a wee bit lonely with just me and Koldanar over there.

But it's so much more fun! And so confusing!
I can understand why people might be reluctant to vote initially, I'd be terrified of making a mistake at this point.

So - lesson one, I talk too much. Never played in a closed game before, it's much much different when you're in it, rather than browsing an already closed game. I hope they hurry - I wanna play, dangit.

Things do not look good for our town, even with the Day One scumlynch. Story's right: the role of 'Warlock' and 'Possessed Human' without any descriptions really do open the door wide for scum fake claims.

Things do not look good for our town, even with the Day One scumlynch. Story's right: the role of 'Warlock' and 'Possessed Human' without any descriptions really do open the door wide for scum fake claims. Well, yeah, but everyone said that in the Batman game, and then we had: - One contradicted fake investigation result of DBI, revealing two scum; - One successful investigation of an actual scum; - One scum who self-destructed and had to be replaced; - One scum suicide by way of voting for a twice-confirmed townie. In other words, if this is in any way typical of the situation in other games here, it does seem as though the pressure gets to the scum in this forum more than it does elsewhere. So, unless we have a lot of aggressive talented scum this time out, my money would have to be on the humans!

I don't think you should take our last game as indicative of much of anything... it was designed to be pretty out there.

Really. I don't think it's fair, because you said you'd sub out until fourth dawn, to to a "mod masskill". I'm sure that somebody's out there, you just have to look.

Sorry, Atarus, but it looks like you're going to have to take me off the sub list. I just signed up for Mafia the Conspiracy 2: The Cabal Strikes Back, which is looking like it will be a very intense game, and I just can't process two games at once.
Edit: That is, unless I don't get in. So basically move me off until thursday's end and I'll notify you.
