hawkeyeop awoke with a yell. Bad dreams had plagued him ever since the apocalypse, and this night had been no exception. Sweating, he pinched himself to make sure he wasn't dreaming anymore. He wasn't. He looked out his window and saw the beginnings of dawn peeking over the horizon. He had survived the night. "Well that was unexpected. Awesome, but unexpected." hawkeyeop got dressed and headed out of what had been his domicile for the past week. He walked out into the street, where he ran into Kat. She smiled weakly. "Looks like we're both still alive. But that means..." hawkeyeop nodded. What fate had befallen either Rysto or Merestil Haye? Had anything happened? The two survivors walked around the town, trying to find the other two. It didn't take them very long to stumble across them. From far away, hawkeyeop could already tell what had happened. There was a body splattered across the pavement with the other person silently standing over it. In the dim twilight of morning, it was impossible to tell who was who. hawkeyeop took a step forward, calling out to the figure. "What happened? Is he dead?" "Yes," said the man standing. "I killed him." hawkeyeop's step faltered and he stumbled. Kat grabbed his arm and helped sturdy his feet. "But...why are you telling us?" Kat asked, confused. "Because it's over. The two of you are no match for me anymore. You will die, just like he did." The man laughed, an eerie haunting laugh in the darkness. "You know, the two of you almost had me yesterday. It was so very, very close. It would have been a shame to come this far, only to lose...." hawkeyeop shakily drew the killing knife out of his pocket and pointed it at the shadowy figure. "Are you....are you a demon?" Another laugh. "Demons are so....beneath me. No, I am much more than that." "We can still kill you!" Kat yelled. "We can still fight!" "I don't think you know what you're up against. Here, let me take a form you might recognize easier." And with that, the man changed. His body warped and grew larger, and both hawkeyeop and Kat gasped in fear. A cloak wrapped around the man, who face had turned skeletal. A long scythe appeared in his hand. "Do you recognize me now?" "RUN!" hawkeyeop yelled, and turned to flee. He'd barely made it two steps before the cloaked figure was upon him, the scythe tearing his body into two parts cleanly. Kat remained frozen in fear as hawkeyeop's torso fell forward as his legs fell to the side. Death turned to her and gave a smile. "And now it is your turn." Kat couldn't move, couldn't even scream as he reached a bony hand out to her and calmly touched her forehead. And then Kat's head exploded. With less fanfare, Death returned to the form he had taken for the past week. He'd never really liked how humans had portrayed him anyway. Snazzy suits and fast cars were a much better choice than a skeleton with a scythe. Looking around the town, he smiled knowing that there were 23 corpses where 23 lives had been only a week before. Of course, War had escaped but he'd track that son of a bitch down eventually. He snapped his fingers and the barrier around the town disappeared. With a whistle and a smile, Rysto walked off down the street, looking for the next batch of apocalypse survivors he could torment and destroy. ------------------------ Merestil Haye, a Survivor, is pretty dead. hawkeyeop, a Psychic (Mason), and Kat, a Survivor, are also pretty dead.Rysto, aka Death, a Horseman of the Apocalypse (Serial Killer) has killed off everybody.Town loses!Demons lose!War loses! Death wins!----------------- Thanks for playing!

I CANNOT BELIEVE I PULLED THAT OFF. HAWK, YOU HAD ME DEAD TO RIGHTS YESTERDAY.
I LIED WHEN I SAID THAT I COULD DIE IF I ATTACKED A HORSEMAN. THAT WAS JUST TO DISTRACT FROM THE CRITICAL POINT THAT I COULDN'T KILL A HORSEMAN, BECAUSE IF I ADMITTED THAT BLOCKEY WOULD HAVE KNOWN IMMEDIATELY THAT I WAS A HORSEMAN.
I DID TELL THE TRUTH THAT BLOCKEY REDIRECTED MY ATTACKS. I DIDN'T EXPECT THAT HE'D BE ABLE TO DO THAT EITHER.
NIGHT 1, I ATTACKED THE HIDER, TRAGIC/MOLEFAN. I ASSUME THAT SHE SURVIVED BECAUSE SHE TARGETED BUFFTABBY.
NIGHT 2, RYJAE'S ATTACK DIDN'T GO THROUGH, EITHER BECAUSE HE DECLINED TO KILL THAT NIGHT OR HIS ATTACK WAS BLOCKED BY HIS DEATH.
HAD ANY OF YOU REVIEWED MY POSTS, YOU WOULD HAVE COME ACROSS A COUPLE BIG INCONSISTENCIES IN MY STORY. FIRST, DAY 1 I WAS PRETTY CLEARLY UNFAMILIAR WITH THE IDEA OF A BACKUP ROLE. SECOND, AT THE BEGINNING OF DAY 2 I SAID THAT MY READ FROM DAY 1 WAS THAT KIDV WAS HOLY WATER GUY, BUT DAY 1 RYJAE SAID THAT THE DEMON HUNTER WAS HWG. MY CLAIM DID HAVE AN EXPLANATION FOR THE SECOND INCONSISTENCY BUT IT WASN'T A VERY GOOD ONE.
COULD WE HAVE A LINK TO THE SPOILER THREADS, PLEASE?

Well, I did find enough inconsistencies to convict you. I just couldn't see why Misterblockey would lie about his power being unable to redirect your attacks.
Seconded on the spoiler board request.

Well, I did find enough inconsistencies to convict you. I just couldn't see why Misterblockey would lie about his power being unable to redirect your attacks. I don't think that he lied. If his PM was anything like mine, it said that his power wouldn't work on other Horsemen. Now, while it was true that he redirected my attacks, I most note that there was no evidence of that, besides my own word.

Well, being the last death wasn't totally unexpected, as I was fairly sure Rysto would kill me last Night. Good job on the SK win. But man, is my memory getting soft. I forgot something I said. Spoiler access now would be nice. I want to see what everyone's powers were.

Well, it sounded like he wasn't sure in one post, and then confirmed it in the following post. The order of the posts is what got me to switch. Would certainly have helped if I had more then 5 minutes to think about it.
Congratulations by the way. Well played.

z9.invisionfree.com/mafiahideaway/index.php? For the record, if misterblockey had used his power directly on Rysto (whether it was the lightning rod or choosing him as a person to switch targets between), the action would have failed. But otherwise, Rysto's kills were redirected.

Seriously, Rysto, well-deserved. You took a couple of well-calculated risks down the stretch, instead of just trying to fade into the background, and frankly you're the only reason the Demons didn't win - you had Roosh nailed when no one else did, and NAF, and even kind of Greedy. Congratulations!

Actually Tragic hid behind Kison day one. Kat day two (that was mine), and Kison again day three. I seriously can't believe that you guys lynched him over NAF or Smurf. (Roosh I was as wrong on as it looked like everybody else was, but those two I had dead to rights. And if you don't believe me, take a look at what I posted in the spoiler board - as Atarus will confirm, I would, if I'd not made that flippin' horrible mistake with the days, attacked NAF with the full force of my being. GAH!) And on the subject of my "role", I think it's ridiculously ironic that in "Batman" I get easily the worst role in the entire game (Henchman #3) and last from the very first day until the end, helping to take out several scum in the process; whereas in this game, I get the best mafia role I think I've ever seen, let alone played, and never get a chance to use it because I'm eliminated on my very first day. GAH! Rysto, once again you've rocked it, and this time you didn't have the might of Story, Hoopy, NAF, Sinjin and myself covering your ass. Congrats, I think everybody watching would agree that you earned that win and then some!

Indeed, You were the one person that just stopped me dead in my tracks literally. I was REALLY REALLY hoping you wouldn't target me 2x but that would only be if you were a Vig.... Ah well.
Excellently played.

Excellently played. Yeah Rysto, we were calling for your death on the scumboards from (I think) Night 2. We just didn't pull the trigger at the right time. Once again, well played. And thanks to Atarus. It was a fun game. Frustrating sometimes, but fun.

Thanks, guys. I was quite lucky in a lot of ways(I have to admit that I rolled my eyes over my 1/3 night-kill resistance when I first got the role). The turning point was blockey redirecting my kill onto NAF, which finally gave me enough data to really start analysing things.
ETA: And thank you atarus. This was a great set-up -- the roles were interesting and the colour was excellent. Great job!

Congrats Rysto.
Can I just say, I goddamn well knew it! But would anyone listen to me Nooooooo. ;D ;D
It was well played, and I just couldn't seem to find that final nail without admiting that as a demon we knew you had a survived a night kill.
Oh well. You do realise that in any future games now, any poor sod with a vig power is in for a world of hurt ;D

Oh well. You do realise that in any future games now, any poor sod with a vig power is in for a world of hurt ;D I'm specifically avoiding the Bastard game because I just know NAF and blockey would stick me with a backup Vig role. (Actually, it's really because I'll be away for a good stretch in August).

I'm pretty annoyed by my lynch. I didn't really do anything wrong - I just had a bunch of people disagreeing with what I was saying. So instead of, ya know, wait and ask, or hell, wait for a role claim at the very damn least, you guys lynch me before I can even get a post in . I don't think I'd even been seriously considered as a lynch prospect up until that point. What the frakking hell? That being said, I think I might have messed up with my role or something. I was under the impression that whoever I used my holy water, I'd be able to exorcise. I'm not sure if that is the case, I kept on getting confused by the whole possession/demon distinguishing & the wording in my PM/opening post. I used my holy water on HockeyMonnkey and got a reaction. This is why I argued that she'd be more useful to keep around. I tried to exorcise her the following night, but for a second time my night action was diverted and my exorcism was wasted. In the end, I just really had a hard time keeping up. I thought the game followed a pretty kick-ass and well thought out concept, but I'm used to slower, more drawn out games. Just a matter of preference - there's nothing wrong with the game as is. Good Game. Thanks Atarus. And I still <3 Roosh.

Of course even if I hadn't died I would've had to spend the rest of the game defending smurf somehow.
