Mr. Scummyboots, esq. believes that a certain GastardMod owes him a beer...
Also, although he is a licensed attorney (as denoted by 'esq') he would not know how to defend Hoopy Frood as he only practices maritime law (the lawyers of the sea).

No, but the fact that you didn't demand a straight single malt whisky does Actually, you don't have to drink it neat. In fact, with most if not all high-character Scotches, you don't want it neat. A couple drops of water or a very small ice cube will actually open up the scotch and allow more of the aromas to be released. (Scent, is naturally a big part of taste, you only have five types of taste, but you can have dozens of aromas). Thanks for the lesson, which (since I hate whisky) I didn't know Stereotypical Scots probably know this though. ;D

Also, although he is a licensed attorney (as denoted by 'esq') Esq actually denotes nothing. It has no legal standing these days. I could go around calling myself Hoopy Frood, Esq. for all I want. In fact, I just might change my display name to that. (I've already replaced the normal o's with o-slashes for the heck of it.) Wi nøt trei a høliday in Sweden this yer? See the løveli lakes. The wonderful telephøne system. And mani interesting furry animals. Including the majestic møøse. And on a completely trivial note, Monty Python were wrong (intentionally or not) in that Swedish doesn't actually use the o-slash. It's only Norwegian and Danish that use it. The Swedes employ the o-umlaut instead.

Usually when I have Whiskey of some type I go for straight bourbon or get it served up in a Manhattan. My girlfriend's the one that knows a lot about Scotch and Irish Whiskeys. (And she also brews her own beer.) Part of this is no doubt from her year in Ireland tending bar. They liked her because she could understand the drunken American accents. Apparently, it can be hard for the Irish to understand us Yanks when we get sloshed. She also had no problems understanding the drunken Irish, Scots, and English that would patronize the place. However, she never could understand the Welsh when they got drunk. Apparently their accent comes out extremely thick and slurred. However, even the natives struggled with understanding them. She also said Colin Farrell, who was apparently a regular customer at the bar when he was in town, treated the staff very well and one of the biggest flirts. He literally tried to pick up everything with breasts.

Yay! A) I'm more or less caught up on the thread, B) I'm basically caught up with work, and C) The three families that were staying with us for a long weekend are all gone. Ahhhhh...
Now I can concentrate on what's really important. For example, the 481 posts that will be made tomorrow.

My girlfriend's the one that knows a lot about Scotch and Irish Whiskeys. Ahem. Scotch Whisky. There is no "e" in the word at all, so do not spell it with one. When referring to the stuff the Irish produce it is spelt with the "e". When talking about Scotch it is not. /endrant

567 To continue my ramblings... I figured I could at least be useful as a canary in the coal mine, which is why I opted to play with the various odd toys we have in our midst. So feel free to offer me whatever it is you might end up possessing. Let's see... Someone ( I don't recall who) expressed some doubt as to whether my restriction is authentic, and I guess that person must have missed the whole muting incident on Day One. I'd say my restriction is as G.astard-confirmed as you can get. Molefan irked my by alleging that I was [paraphrasing]"eager to get on bandwagons"[/paraphrasing] which makes it sound like a) I was on more than one, when I had only jumped (briefly) onto the Diggit wagon, b) ignores the fact that we HAVE TO HAVE A "BANDWAGON" OF 20 PEOPLE TO GET A LYNCH, and c) my vote justifications are going to be on the brief end, at least until Night, and as I explained upthread, I was playing my role and loophole tentatively through most of the Day. So I'm going to have to FOS Darth and Molefan at this point, because their play strikes me as attempts at opportunistic exploitation of shit ends of the stick that some of us apparently received. Mod Note: It's orange now. Don't say we mods never do anything for you guys.

Viewing source shows that ProBoards parses the tags into HTML <font color>. There are only 16 approved color names under HTML standards. All other colors should use the RGB value. If you use a non-standard name, I have no idea what happens, though, it probably is browser dependent.
On a side note, the <font> tag is deprecated. HTML no longer officially supports it, though, it will probably always be backwards compatible with it. CSS is what is supposed to be used now.
