Diggit's claimed role is interesting. It looks to be similar to what Pleo submitted (Day #1.49): I'm not sure if this makes more sense as a town, scum or PFK role - it would depend on what sort of info could be intercepted. If it's Night instructions, that's too powerful to give to scum. If it's just general questions, then I'm not sure. Diggit, you haven't previously expressed suspicion of Santo Rugger, now you are happy to vote for him. Did you only get that message last Night? This would also be ANOTHER detective-type role for the town's benefit anyway, and I really think there are too many cooks in the kitchen here. Drainbead and diggit have now both claimed the same type of role (a hit or miss ability that investigates in some way) and bufftabby's mysterious suitor in the mix as well. Unless bufftabby can outright confirm that her "other detective" is diggit, of course. I think it would be a good idea to lynch either drainbead or diggit toDay barring any new information. I think it would be a poor idea to lynch Rugger or The Duck. At this point, I don't believe Drain Bead or Diggit Camara about their alignments. I'd be happy to lynch either one toDay. I'm still waiting for Drain Bead to check in, so I'm not voting yet. In the meantime I'll throw out a FOS bufftabby

In the meantime I'll throw out a FOS bufftabby I did, kinda, express my suspicion about Santo during Day 3. However, I didn't really want to point my finger for these reasons: 1. I thought I could do a lot more with my role, if I could gather information and release it in one fell swoop 2. There were several very good candidates for lynch around without involving Santo3. I didn't want to attract too much Nighttime attention I decided to reveal my powers toDay because, frankly, I don't see my role as that useful anymore (I haven't gotten any information for 3 Nights in a row). Even the information that I do have is ambiguous at best. By the way, for those who see this as a scum power: I would agree, as long as the power was kept hidden. I can't see that scum (and scum without any pressure on them at all) would reveal this power. And reveal truthful information as well! ( Santo has confirmed that he did send the message I published)

It seems a very unreliable ability - is there any indication that you may have been blocked or something?

6 votes required to start a countdown

No, I'm suspicious of you because you keep bringing it up repeatedly, while still acknowledging that it's purely WiFoM, and the reasons haven't changed one bit since my initial reveal, and even pointing out that we've already been over it a few times, yet you've still got to bring it up. Seems like a darn scummy tactic to me. Well, yeah, I'm going to keep bringing it up every so often because I'm suspicious of you/it. You don't just stop saying who you're suspicous of in this game unless the suspicions change, in which case, people usually say what they're new suspicions are. As I said before, I'd be happy with a lynch of DB as well. I would not vote (for good) for Diggit (although I would vote for him (and anyone) to get a countdown started if enough were voting likewise) simply because nothing he's done or said strikes me as being overly shady. He has a power to listen into conversations? Color me confused how people see that's scummy. Sure it could be a scum role. A lot of these roles that have been mentioned I could see playing for either side. Heck, a lot of people in the Firefly game couldn't believe that a RoleBlocker would be scum (save for myself). Add me to the list of people who have no idea how it's obvious that Duke/Duck/Lion is a Mason. There are too many inconsistancies there, most of which I already laid out in the post that I voted for him in. For now, my vote stays because I feel either he (or DB) would be among the best choice for a vote today.

It's something I got previously...back at the start of the game. In another one of those random PMs from a mod, it was hinted at to me. Combine it with the items found from CIAS's death, and it's obvious (to me). This was back on night zero / day one, but I didn't want to bring this up too soon. I definitely don't think getting rid of him is a good idea

And reveal truthful information as well! ( Santo has confirmed that he did send the message I published) Pure WiFoM. Scum would -never- announce having this role, so you do so. Simple. You only picked my message out of the ones you've gotten because you knew it was from me, and you knew I would be able to claim it since I'm still alive. Your truthful information about me isn't really useful, to scum, either, so it makes sense that that would be the message you'd pick to share, too.

Well, crap. I did have a post this morning, and then my wireless network went bad, and it appears it didn't make it through. The gist of what I said - Santo's question was either a malicious player's request or a joke from an innocent player. The fact that it was a question about editing, which isn't scummy in appearance - simply outside the boundaries of the game - makes it more likely a joke. It also fits in with what I feel continues to be Santo's overconfidence in being "mod-confirmed". He is emphatically still not a good lynch candidate, though. Where is drainbead? Her absence today is conspicuous. I don't like going after diggit based on a "too many investigators" angle. Right now, the lurkers are probably shielding scum; I also think the sequence yesterday of final votes may prove telling. Today I would have had time to look at it all, but for the interruption and setting back up my connection.

I might have been blocked but my role PM also says: I doubt very much I have always picked those people who have maintained radio silence, but who knows? On the other hand, I have strongly hinted in the past about the other player whose communication I intercepted (just look at my posts on Day 1).

If I really was scum, why the hell would I risk my power over the chance to get a single, obviously townie, player? Why would scum-folk hide the information from messages from other Nights? If I was scum, I would obviously have distorted information from other messages I intercepted. As it is, I have posted them exactly as they came, without adding anything to them. (Which you yourself confirmed) And finally: You say that any conversation by scum would be in-thread only. It might be. However, the mods could force them to send them their kill choices by PM. Or they might be sending them constant reminders of... I don't know what (there have been reports by other folk that they have received flurries of PM's, like, for instance, Roosh)

I doubt very much I have always picked those people who have maintained radio silence, but who knows? As to the way my powers work: they are very unreliable. I only got messages for 2 Nights (and that includes Night 0). I know, of course, that I'm not scum, but think about it: don't you think a power like mine would make scum ridiculously overpowered? Since I don't know who has and who hasn't Night powers (and thus, will probably PM the mods), I have to take wild guesses which, as likely as not, will not yield results. (note: I think he was the one who sent this message in. I don't get the author's name, but it seems pretty clear who wrote it). The quote isn't entirely damning. Still, my gut feeling is that Santo Rugger is a villain. (all underlining mine) So let me get this straight. You don't get the author's name of the message you receive at Night? But...you say you pick which people to target with your power? Wouldn't that mean that you know what message you're getting? I believe you do have what power you say you do. I also do believe you got Santo Rugger's message. But why would you change your story mid-Day if you didn't have something to hide? Vote diggitcamaraIf you are scum or PFK, your power is very dangerous. Despite my suspicions towards drainbead including her absence toDay, I believe you're the greater threat to the town. Unless this inconsistency is cleared up, I'm going to keep my vote on you.

Okay, I'm back, for the most part. Santo, I did reread over your posts. And I read over Parz's post made since was last here. I'm sorry, but I'm still going to have some suspicions...that's just not going to change like a light switch that can be turned off and on...although on further thinking, I can admit that it could also (as Parz pointed out) be taken as a joke. I already had admitted that it was probably just biasness in seeing what I want to see over that new info anyway...so really, I'm not any less or more suspicious of you, however you make an observation that I find odd in the regards that you HOLD my POV against someone else, yet can't see me holding that POV against you, seemingly. I'm talking about your quote here: So it's obvious he's a mason because of a PM you got? And that's supposed to be obvious to us... how? See, this is precisely how I feel about you. My point is (and has been), so your name and role is the obvious innocent Townie. That's supposed to convince us, then, that it's the truth FOR SURE? In a gastard game? So it's supposed to be obvious to us that you're really Town simply because the admins say that's your role name? I mean come on, you seem to be making the same point to koldanar that I'm trying to make YOU see. But hey, you know what? You're right. It's fruitless to keep meshing it out over and over again so I'm just going to leave it be. I'm not going to be voting for you anytime soon, so I don't think you have anything to be so worried or defensive over. What I AM going to do is, for now, unvote Duke/Duck/Lion and Vote Drain Bead[/color] She is probably, in my opinion, of equal or second best option for a vote toDay..or my vote, at least. And her seeming disappearence (as others have noted) doesn't really work in her favor. At least Dukey has posted in here a few times.

The difference is that koldanar says it's obvious because of something the mods told him, while I'm saying it's obvious because of something the mods told everybody. Big difference. And, for the record, I wasn't joking, but I wasn't expecting to receive yes as the answer.
