Mad said in reply to dnooman
Scum driven. Define that please. Surely you don't think that every scum decided to get the new player killed on day one do you? I'd say there was probably a scum or two, maybe three in the vote, but who can say who? I think that there's way more speculative reasoning down that path than there is deductive.
Yes I did. You're welcome. Everyone else seemed to have it out for her, so I reviewed her posts again. She would not stop insinuating I was town. I know I'm town, and for her to be so sure of it she had to be scum. Easy call for me to make.
See my previous point. Now, of course you could say that we were scum buddies and planned for her to say that, but that would mean a definite dead scum, with a finger pointed firmly at another. I don't care what kind of wacky plan you think the scum is using, but that would be suicide.

So, tying things up sounds like the best move to you? And your reasoning is that his detailed analysis convinced people quickly? What? Isn't that what detailed analysies are supposed to do? If Roosh were scum, you're implying that he's attacking Dotchan a townie right? Yet, you are torn between Roosh and dotchan as being scum? And you don't see anything scummy about Cowgirl's posting history? Really? Really?I didn't realize my vote tied things up. I was simply voting for one of the top candidates. My one-off vote was strange, and voting for somebody who's in the running is strange. I can't please you people! Yesterday, I voted for who I thought seemed most scummy. Today, I voted for who I thought seemed most scummy out of the top candidates. Concerning the detailed analysis, it just seemed like there was way too much work being done to disect dotchan's actions. Yes, it is supposed to be pursuasive, and yes, it had me going good. But, after I stepped back and thought about it, it didn't seem to be as damning as I originally thought. No, I don't find cowgirl's posts to be scummy for the past couple Days. So, that left me Roosh. His post damning dotchan, after faurther review, reminded me of story in M2. It's a lot easier to build your case if you're absolutely sure about something. *sigh* it's so much easier being scum, you never have to second guess yourself.

I’ve had an uneasy feeling about cowgirl during Yesterday and Today, and the case dnooman made matches that feeling quite a bit. Something I noticed while reviewing her posts is that she seemed very concerned with bandwagons Yesterday. In post 1.250 she says in response to DiggitCamara saying we should avoid a last minute vote rush: Good point. We are making ourselves vulnerable to a scummy bandwagon by not making our own choices. Vote dnooman to get him in here and talking, and to be sure I don't vote according to a scummy bandwagon. Please don't support any bandwagons without good reason. I can't see any good reasons for a bandwagon today, so I will be suspicious of any that I see.
Then in post 1.275, in reply to storyteller saying that bandwagon votes aren’t necessarily bad, and voting just to avoid bandwagons is playing into scummy hands, she says:
[italics added]
Here she backs down for voting for dnooman to avoid bandwagons. She does say that she’s voting for dnooman to get him talking, but when she voted she specifically said she was doing so to avoid scummy bandwagons. Just a small contradiction, but it caught my eye.
When she cast her vote the votecount was:
drainbead (3) - storyteller0910, Roosh, Mad The Swine dnooman (1) - Hockey Monkey JSexton (1) - Malacandra Mhaye (1) - kat GreedySmurf (1) – Jsexton
So, she didn’t want to get on any “scummy” bandwagons. We know now that dnooman’s wasn’t. Did cowgirl? The only real bandwagon at that point was drainbead. Did she know drainbead was scum and was using being wary of bandwagons as an excuse to not join that one? Was she trying to talk us out of joining it by saying we would appear scummy? I’m not sure, but I’m leaning toward yes, and I’d like to know for sure.
Vote cowgirl.

Bah, I knew I would screw that up. I had Mad voting twice on there. I'll look back and figure out where his vote should be, but I think this is right:
cowgirl (5) - dnooman, diggitcamara, Malacandra, Hal Briston, nesta Roosh (4) - dotchan, cowgirl, pygmyrugger, Mad The Swine Mad The Swine (2) - storyteller0910, capybara dotchan (1) - Roosh Malacandra (1) - JSexton diggitcamara (1) - GreedySmurf pygmyrugger (1) - mhaye
That leaves Blaster Master as the only one yet to cast a vote.

Everyone grabbed cowgirl and drug her outside...but as quick as lightning she sprung away from the mob and turned on them, drawing a bow and arrow out of her pocket. They stared, stunned as she shouted to "get back, get back I say" and threatened them with the weapon.
Unfortunatly she didn't see the two people of the throng break of and circle around her sneakily. They attached one end of a rope to a truck and quickly made a noose of the other end and one creeped up behind her as she held off the angry crowd. He threw it over her neck and the other gunned the engine and put the pedal to the metal. It pulled taut and jerked her off her feet and started to drag her along. After spinning around the Town Hall twice, she came to rest in front of them and was dead beyond doubt. They then looked at the bow and arrow she dropped and only then, did it hit them.
cowgirl, Cupid, has is now feeling dragged out (and dead to boot).

What I meant by "secondary choice" was a person that was least likely to get night killed. The "first choice" being the primary target. Obviously this is all a game, and nothing can be determined, yet. Ok, understood. Thanks for clarifying. <snip> I still don't get it. Can capybara and dnooman please elaborate? If dnooman doesn't have a good explanation for that one, and coupled with the quote below, I'm going to vote for him. Really? Really? It sounds to me like scum trying to save scum in desperation. I've thought Roosh was scummy before, so I'm likely to vote for one if the other is revealed as scum.

So I'm doing my re-read and I just want to point out something I consider a bit odd. It's unrelated to my current pursuit, so I wanted to put it in a separate post: Very late in Day One, long after it was too late to matter, pygmy rugger said this: (bolding mine; color removed) Someone suggested that pygmy had misread Hal's post, and he replied, in his last post of Day One: OK. So toDay, pygmy made good on his promise to develop his strongly-felt case against Hal Briston, saying: Errrr... what? This post? Sorry, Story, I must have not realized you were asking me a question when I first read that. Basically, I think what happened was that Hal said he thought Greedy was town, but then voted for him anyway. I thought that was really odd. When I reread his posts specifically, looking for more, he tended to talk an awfully lot about the geniuses. I had him pegged as a genius, but when he was alive, I didn't want to give the scum any hints about that. I may have made a mistake by saying I thought he was a "pro town role", in retrospect. The scum may have seen that, too, and tried to get rid of a power role.
