So in the run-off apparently an overwhelming majority have decided I'm not scum, and you're going to vindictively kill me anyway?
"Inconceivable!"

And what they decided is that I was likelier to be scum than you, not that you were town. At some point, half the voters though you were scum, hence the runoff in the first place.

By "half the voters" you mean "you and three others", yes? Dude, I'll take that bullet to see you off the town team.

However, it was also an American election, with half the electorate failing to register. And three or four of the voting public are possible scum (also very American! Woo! We're number one!)

Bah. Sorry JSexton. I hope everything is OK and that you're in good health. So I guess I still haven't seen you play as scum. Maybe next time. I wish you were scum, though. I hate being wrong.

Ok, JSexton. Let's think this through. Who would you have voted for today had there been no wagon to lynch you, and no movement at all towards Mal? Do you indeed think he's the scummiest of them all? I see you voted for him yesterday, too, so perhaps this is the case. [Devil's Advocate]The way I see if, if you want to play pro-town you basically get a town freebie here. If Mal's the next at the top of the town's most wanted perhaps your dynamite vest could be better used elsewhere (like scum don't nightkill people they think the town will kill anyway). Is this a reasonable line of thought? Of course it them depends heavily on your independent reasoning and perspicacity.[/DA]

Oh, and Mal, in Firefox your name shows up as orange, heh. That's like asking for trouble.
Mal, who do YOU think JSexton should snuff? I don't recall who your top pick was before things got heated and you had to jump that way in self defense.

Sorry about the serial posting but. . . Mal, if you ARE town and I've been grievously wrong about you, do a good town thing and try to convince us of this fact rather then sacrificing yourself bitterly, and see if we can have JSexton snuff someone else.
We're losing one townie already and two is [does the math] twice as bad here. If you're not scum don't go gently into that good night. At least pull an Idle and give us some bold large text in different colors.

Well, I think the snark's called for, what with the whole "I'll ignore the will of the town and just assume I was right in the first place" business. I'm also wondering when the hell the deadline was, that JS is polling for votes at this time of Day.

Let's do this.
If JSexton kills someone at random then we lose two players. If the target is town we lose even more ground. If it's a Psycho who dies, we're a lot better off but still not out of the woods.
There is a way we can trade - ie exchange one player for another. It requires the death of one particular player, and leaves the town in a stronger position more than 90% of the time.
It boils down to this. If JSexton kills Blaster Master, I can (and will) resurrect Hockey Monkey.

Mhaye-- what are you talking about? This sounds like an episode of Carnivále. I don't see a necromancer/ zombie doctor role.. . what are you on about?

I'm also wondering when the hell the deadline was, that JS is polling for votes at this time of Day. I wouldn't complain too much about him asking for input since his first choice is you. At least he is giving you (and us) a chance to talk him out of it.

Well, I'm starting to get an idea as to someone who is plainly as mad as a hatter...
And nesta, I'm a rules wonk. Can't help it. Even if it's potentially to my advantage, I don't like it when we suddenly start ignoring the rules.

I'm glad everyone else is asking MHaye what he means. I was thinking I'd missed some special role in the game. MHaye, are you claiming you are a hidden role that can resurrect someone? I hope you aren't getting this game confused with M5.

I have a secret role. One IT made up when I joined in late.
My role is Chia Bingo Manager.
Imagine the player's names on a 5*4 bingo card, with one blank space. When all the players on one line (vertical or horizontal) are dead, I get a Power. I have a choice of two, one of which is Once and once only, bring a dead player back into the game.
It so happens that the bottom line consists of Blaster Master and two already dead players. The death of Blaster Master completes that line.
It seems to me that exchanging an unknown player for a known Town power role would be good for the town right now, as well as reducing the rate of player loss.

Mal, do you want to put up any "I'm town and innocent" defense rather than a Florida 2000 Election letter-of-the-law the-populace-has-spoken defense (I don't know if that's going to work on Jsexton and it sounds rather legal)?
I wonder if MHaye is having us on to add to this delicious sense of chaos?

EBWOP for clarity. It so happens that the bottom line consists of Blaster Master and two already dead players. The death of Blaster Master completes that line. That should read "It so happens that the bottom line consists of Blaster Master, a space and two already dead players. The death of Blaster Master completes that line."

What is your other choice mhaye? I can be immune for the rest of the game. I have assumed that means "immune to nightkills" for the rest of the game. But that won't help me avoid a lynch.

capy, in the run-off the consensus already seems to have been that I'm not as scummy as all that, after all - I can hardly add to that. There's one outstanding question from upthread; someone asked why, having opted not to vote to save myself on Day One, I changed tack on Day Three. The answer's simple. I still got the hairy eyeball on account of my vote for Greedy Smurf (instead of Drainbead, my chief contendor for the lynching) so I thought I might just as well see if I was going to be damned if I did as well as damned if I didn't. It wasn't like I was going to be any worse off.
And I think MHaye is just funnin' with us.

I dont see why mhaye would be lying here.If he is, he has killed himself and mal.Sounds like a good trade to me, trading an unknown for getting Dr Hockey back. If he is lying, its a good trade also. Course ...I guess we dont know for sure yet that Jsexton is truthful yet either.Until we know,we should be a little more cautious of what we say, dontcha think?

Does Kat come back from the dead with her? MHaye, so have your votes and playing so far been geared toward your bingo card, may I ask?
