VOTE NAF - -- Still working how to change the color on this board... Think I have it...

VOTE NAF - -- Still working how to change the color on this board... Think I have it... Because they have a strategy that does not include actually sharing any information nor making any conversation. I am totally making conversation. I was away for the weekend, but I have a vote and am not exactly what you could call lurking. Also, I have shared a lot of information. Did you not notice the youtube link to the creepy doll video? That was good stuff! Also, I have generated a decent amount of discussion of things that pertain directly to the game and not to the superbowl or the creepy doll or seattle. Frankly ATM I think I am this games freaking MVP, and yet you want to vote me off? Strange. I might move my vote. Blockey, when exactly is the Day ending again?

I'm anxious to see what sort of deep strategy you can get from things like: 'I have a grudge! Vote MHaye!' 'Dude, you totally shouldn't have a grudge. Vote NAF!' 'I can hold any grudge I want to! Vote pedescribe!' Frankly, word. Something funny's going on here, and I'm not sure what to make of it. Is there some reason to believe that this game is anything like previous blockey games, where the in-thread conversation was as much a distraction as a part of the actual game? Because this thread has been almost 100% pure, unadulterated fluff. And all the information that I have suggests that this is a much more conventional game than, say, the Rock-Paper-Scissors games were. Voting is happening basically at random here. There has been no discussion of the setup, or any real analysis of behavior. What the heck is going on here?

I would also like to point out that, unless some folks vote, Pede you are going to be lynched toDay. Something to think about. Well, gosh, I'm thinking about it. And near as I can tell, the reason that this is true is primarily because of your own vote, which you placed because: (1) pedescribe gave you credit for a lynch in another game; and (2) pedescribe forgot to bold a vote, an oversight which he almost instantly corrected. And there's something weird and hinky about the way you're getting all "cluck-cluck-pedescribe's-going-to-get-lynched-if-some-people-don't-vote" when it's your own (unsupported) vote that's got him in that place in the first place.

Well, like I said, I have a plan. I like to use Blockey's games to try out new ideas of my own.
That being said, my gut reaction to what is going on today so far with the players I know is, Pede isn't scum, MHaye might be (neutral read), there is a better chance that you are, Story (55% or so leaning toward scum), and my favorite, of the players I know, to be scum is Hoopy.
But I am going to
unvote pede
since that is a bad lynch.
I will vote for
total lost
instead. Since she isn't playing and needs to die because of if.
It's likely that she has just forgotten, but that doesn't really matter. She is throwing off the information curve.
As to the players I don't know, I fully expect to know more about them by tomorrow. That's why I have been ok with fluff for now.

gah, stupid coding.
Story, it might be weird and hinkey, but really you should be thinking further ahead than that.
You aren't even attempting to figure out the why. You have switched places with hoopy on my list of possible scum. (still fairly low though. Only 60% ish)
I didn't want to unvote pede until more folks had voted because it's important to see how folks vote and if pede is willing to make a claim. That's why I wanted to know exactly when the Day would end.

I am totally making conversation. I was away for the weekend, but I have a vote and am not exactly what you could call lurking. You have a vote, but it's a vote with no meat to it. Would you really care to defend the proposition that you actually think pede is most likely to be Scum on the basis of the silly silly "tells" you used to justify your vote? And that "I am not exactly what you could call lurking" is a questionable turn of phrase. Please specify. The above, for the record, is a total nonsequitor. I am considering a vote for NAF, but I'd like to see some more substantive participation out of... well, geez, everybody. Come on, y'all! We're all in this together! Get your heads in the game!

No I would not, but you should know better than that. How so, please explain further. If you want to get serious... I am not lurking. I have a very high post count to this game relative to the other players, I didn't post for a weekend and got voted for because I didn't provide enough substance but am playing with a plan in mind. That isn't good. Seattleguys vote SUCKED and it is me you complain about? In my next post. You won't like it though, but you and I play differently. Note for the record that in Evil Dead I picked out bufftabby, JSexton and MHaye long before they were on anyone else's radar. You might not like my methods, but they do work for me. The above, for the record, is a total nonsequitor.
True! Good catch. Bad call. You know who favors lynch the loud as a voting strategy? Yup, scum. Strangely enough, I am going to stick with my Total Lost vote.

Thoughts, opinions? How about MHaye? You didn't like my silly vote on Pede, but has he done anything to make you think about him one way or the other? In short, are you voting for me because I am acting strangely, and is that a good reason for a vote?

Incidentally, the above is some bullshit. I had posted, by the time you posted the above, three times all day, including once to apologize for not posting more. Hoopy has not yet made a substantive post in this game other than a joke vote, which puts him right on par with everyone else (yourself, basically, included). You have no good reason to suspect anyone, nor to clear anyone (as you have done with pedescribe). You're just throwing shit against the wall and seeing what comes of it. vote NAF

Vote MHaye, for not spieling. And because I was TOTALLY right about him for once in the Evil Dead game, but didn't get any freaking credit because Hal caught a slip after I was dead. So I am holding a grudge. Howdy to the new folks. *waves* If you want to all line up and introduce yourselves and maybe tell us something about who you are so we can get to know you. You know: name, gender, where you are from, aligment, how you came to find us...that sort of thing. For substance generating posts. This is one. The answers to this request are rather telling don't you think? My feeling is that the people who made jokes about the alignment thing are 75% cleared from being scum. They drop to the bottom of my list for the next several days. That narrows down the playing field and it directs talk to the game rather than out of game fluff. In game directed fluff is more usefull than it is give credit for being (at least that is the theory I am working on testing in this game).

Crap! I forgot to ask you about Hoopy. What do you think of Hoopy? You and I need to slow down, or we're going to overwhelm the whole game. I'm riding you right now, and voting for you, not because you're "loud" but because you're standing out, and in a scummy way. The rest of the crowd? It's one great big fluffing mass. Meaningless votes piled on meaningless votes and unless everyone is Scum, everyone who is providing useless content and bad votes can't possibly be Scum. You are the only player who has revealed a thought process so far, and it's been a Scummy thought process as far as I can see.

You and I should sit down and talk all of this out in a non game setting at some point.
I actually really wish I could discuss something like this with you in real time, but it would sort of break the game.
Ah well.
That being said, I still think you are wrong about the fluff and I know you are wrong about my thought process. More to the point, if you actually took a second to think it through, I know that you KNOW you are wrong. It's possible that you just haven't realized it yet.

My feeling is that the people who made jokes about the alignment thing are 75% cleared from being scum. No joke: I will be fascinated to know, when the game is over, if the foregoing is true (if people who joked about being scum were all, in fact, Town). That's a cool theory. You have satisfied me, for now. unvote NAFP.S. It is my intention to be very aggressive in this game. I hope it doesn't get me lynched, but if it does, them's the breaks.

Katie, female, Toledo, I plead the fifth, from Facebook. Good enough? What? You plead the fifth? You know only those who are guilty of not being town would ever plead the fifth on the alignment. See, you plead the fifth because the Bill of Rights has decreed that the Executive Branch cannot force you to prove their own case against you. However, this is Mafia, not the judicial system. We aren't held to such high standards of proof here. vote roxis
This is the post that upped Hoopy on my scum o' meter. Based on his past play this is out of character. But like I said, just leaning scum because it's early in a fluffy game.

Bill, won't you post there's a theory I have although I could be wrong today. That's one off a Haiku all around. I find that suspicious. Who doesn't know how a Haiku works? Unvote NAF1138Vote DorianPhoenixThis is the post (along with several others that are similar) that dropped pede in my opinion onto the likely town side. Notice that I don't say cleared. He isn't cleared. You said cleared story, not me. That is some spin.

I will admit that I made up where I thougt you feel on the meter, because I wanted to see how you would react. You were honestly a neutral read but I upped it to below Hoopy to see what would happen.

I simply can't view those posts as evidence of anything at all. My feeling is that even joke posts, if they have a vote, say something. Hoopy's post was out of character for him, so it gets a check in the scum collumn, pede's post was one of a pattern of posts that clearly aren't taking the game all that seriously. Again, my feeling is that if pede were scum he would be taking things more seriously than he is. Different players so different conclusions. Also one post was representitive of a pattern of posting while the other was a one of contribution.

All of the above is taken with a huge grain of salt by the way. There isn't much going on in the game yet, so this is just where my head is right now. Notice I find none of these damning enough to get me to move my vote away from Total Lost who is doing some hard core lurking/nonparticipating.
