And yes I think a three way game is going to be fun.... No, no - just once in a game Pede confirmed his PM and said it looked "good". And the he really got a lot of heat cause some thought he was making a soft claim. After a lot of talking he actually had to make a full claim cause people actually VOTED for him saying he could be scum based on that one little post ;D He wasn't - but it turned out he was a mason

(I'm never going to let you live that one down.) (And no, I'm not in this game either, so if anyone has the bright idea of voting for me like some did in Evil Dead, it will be about as useful here as it was there. But knock yourselves out anyway.)

Well, since it's still night, I've got a really dumb question: How is the lynching going to work? In typical mafia setups, lynching is the primary means by which the uninformed majority can kill off the informed minority. They do this by trying to figure out who among them is the mafia and using their status as the majority to get a majority vote on them. This is possible because the default assumption is that each person is town until something indicates otherwise, and each person will attempt to make their points from that perspective (even if they're actually scum). But here, there is no uninformed majority. Any attempts at getting one person lynched is basically a soft claim that you are not on their side (of course, this is all ignoring the inevitable deception and trickery that comes with mafia). It will also take bi-partisan support to get anyone lynched. Now, I figure that each side will want to lynch the people they can't nightkill, but that just creates a cycle of finger-pointing. Swordsman votes for stone, stone votes for scholar, scholar votes for swordsman. Now, the trick here seems to be that you don't know who is on what side, so until one can get their spies to target someone, they just try to guess who is their hated foe in the elemental rock paper scissors (speaking of which, I just realized: stone=rock, swordsman=scissors, and scholar=paper; very clever blockey )? But then there's still the problem of building an argument. How do you build an argument against someone? Since everyone is scum of some sort, scumdar isn't as helpful. And even if you are suspicious of someone (which seems kind of redundant, since everyone who isn't on your team is against you), what can you do to argue that said person should be lynched? You can't say "we should lynch them because they are scum/anti-town" (which is the unspoken undercurrent to all "lynch X" arguments), because there is no town. Yeah, sorry. Never actually played a mafia game before, and none of the games I've lurked have had a setup like this.

Perhaps. But then again, it could also provide me with an edge, because honestly, who's gonna consider the newbie a serious threat? Or maybe, I WANT you to focus on my incompetence. You just have no way of knowing. ;D

I'd go to see Watchmen, (a) it's not opened over here yet, (b) the North Sea, and (c) Yattara doesn't really fancy it. It's no fun going on your own.

You might want to take a look at the mini-game here: psychopathgame.proboards106.com/index.cgi?board=mini&action=display&thread=445Some playing in this game also played in that - so you could get an idea of playing styles as well

* blush and runs to hide before NAF says: 3 players really hurt town in this game [player 1], [player 2] and Total Lost Sorry, it could be worse. In apocolypse I had dead members of my scum team cursing my name and telling me to shut up in the spoiler boards. I, uh, apperantly was acting crazy scummy and everyone but me knew it. I still love ya.

I figured as much. A bunch of people in the observation board didn't get it either, I think we have had it drilled into us that paranoid docs shouldn't protect power roles that it wasn't obvious that there was a work around.
