Paul... I agree it is interesting therory about hawkeye... I know for me, I am trying to look at whole picture and with so few posts, there is little to go on... I really feel like people are hiding.... Thoughts? Come peeps we can't find scum by staying quiet.... This is really rich, coming from you.

K, so work has brought the hammer down on "unauthorized internet activity". This site isn't blocked, but I'm going to be laying low and not posting from work for awhile. This will reduce my participation, and I'm sorry, but I like my job more than I like playing with you guys. As I said, I'm good with a Paul lynch or a Hawk lynch. I think they're both scummy, and I think a scum result on one will tell us loads about the other. I'm horrified, however, by how quiet this game has been. Lets get some talking going, people.

I've decided to stick with my vote for the last two Days so
vote Paul
I don't like hawk's play but knowing what side Paul's on might give us more insight into hawk's motivations.

So you find my theory interesting... and seem to suggest that I am on to something... but then you cast a LTL vote?

Are you saying that when I turn up Vanilla Town like I claimed it will clear his name? Because I think the opposite. I think he knows I am telling the truth and that is why he saved me... because I was so likely to be lynched toDay.

I don't think he had a good reason for voting mitchy and his explanation of at least it meant town controlled the vote simply doesn't make sense to me. Apart from the fact we don't know if he's town, we also don't know what allignments the people voting for you yesterDay had. In fact, with the number of votes on you yesterDay I'd have thought there were more town than scum involved so effectively town were already controlling the vote. So now his reasoning makes even less sense. Huh. OK, I'm going to take a leap of faith. unvotevote hawk

An analysis of the participation of Captain Pinkies. I had a twinge about the Captain's participation late on Day 2, when I realised that almost all his posts that Day were fluff. Someone who's participation is over 75% fluff makes me think they are trying to hide the scale of their lurkerdom behind the number of posts they make, and the usual reason for that is that they are trying to lie low. So, a review of the Captain's posts. He starts badly. His very first post in a Day thread, D01.118 asks for the list of lurkers. He defends this on oog grounds in D01.147, which I make a practice of accepting unless they contradict themselves. He follows this up in D01.148, voting for Hawkeyeop and justifying as lynching the lurker. As far as I am concerned, lynching someone because they have not posted is a bad idea. Look at Day 1 in The Split (Pede's recently-finished game on the Dope). The players lynched someone with no participation in the game at all, then realised over the next couple of Days that that the lynch yielded no information. Players with no participation should not be lynched, unless the lynch yields more information than allowing a Modkill or replacement does. This pretty much means that if the alignment of a modkilled player is revealed, don't lynch them! Doing so wastes a kill. Only in a game with no replacement and which gives role reveal on lynch but not modkilling should lynching a nonparticipant Day 1 even be thought about. Bad Captain. He claims that he has no experience with recruitment, then corrects himself to limited experience in a game with one single recruitment. I'm not going to hold overlooking a single game against him; I'm sure I have done the same thing and will do so again. That, however, marks the end of Day 1, at lest from the Captain's point of view. The Captain returned, after making no posts in the Night thread and seemingly determined to make up for lost fluff. His contribution consisted of eight posts (a 33% increase over his Day 1 postcount). However, his actual game content plummeted. His contributions to Day 2, in total. [/url] : Laments lack of dead aliens. D02.008 : Fluff. D02.033 : Fluff. D02.050 : OOG joke. D02.138 : Fluff. D02.180 : A vote. Game content. Good heavens! D02.202 : His vote above was placed as a joke, in other words it's yet more fluff. D02.203 : Offers an unsubstantiated opinion on an in-game controversy.[/ul] I've taken the trouble to itemise this list because I wanted to show that despite the increase in the number of posts, his level of content was minimal. Now, when I use the word “lurker” I don't mean someone who is not reading the board. A player not reading the board is a non-player, even if they have a spot in the game. No, I mean the type of player who reads the board, but posts minimally and tries to hide his lack of content. Captain Pinkies looks like he's lurking, on the basis of his first two Days. Also, his Day 2 vote is worthless. He's not voting for someone who is scummy, he's voting for someone for a fluff reason. All this says to me that the Captain has something to hide. People with something to hide are generally Aliens, third parties with malicious win conditions or Town power roles. I think the risk of flushing a Town power role is probably worthwhile, as his play is (once noticed) clear evidence that he's laying low; meaning that the Aliens and any non-Town teams have probably caught it by now anyway. Vote: Captain Pinkies .

Sorry for not getting in here sooner. My new job is being...weird at me. I was supposed to start Tuesday, but then I wasn't starting Tuesday, and then I was starting next Tuesday, unless I start Monday, and I still have no idea when I'm starting really. It's been a mess.
The vote Hawk made is very risky for scum. The question is, is Hawk the type of player that would take that sort of risk? Pedescribe or say Molefan would I think. I'm not quite as certain about Hawk though. But I like Hawk's lynch a hell of a lot more than I like Paul's lynch. I'm not going to vote Hawk right now, because I would prefer to vote for who I think is scummiest, but I will be willing to move it to him if the situation changes.
You all know I've been banging the pedescribe bandwagon for the last two Days. It seemed to get a little traction Yesterday, but it seems to be a non-starter Today. So I'll let it go for now. He hasn't really done anything to ping me Today.
On the other hand, Captain Pinkies has jumped out Today with a lynch the lurker vote for me. Seriously? You of all people are going to vote lynch the lurker? I have more content in one post than you've had this entire game. Scum behavior? I think so.
Vote: Captain Pinkies

After chatting with him a lot while assisting with his game on the Dope, and after the way you scummy lot behaved in Storyteller's Skrull Planet game, he would. Your ethos (and IIRC you were a Horseman as well) was that the Town never lynched even blatant scum play, so why not take these blatant actions and then hide behind "Scum would never do that." Some of the things you got away with because to the end the Town (me included) never caught them are amazing. I don't think anyone caught on to the fact that you were charging up CIAS while in game, for example. I certainly missed it. It increases my suspicion of Hawkeyeop somewhat.

Hawkeyeop has not voted, according to my records. Neither does he have seven votes against him. You've got Paul voting for him twice.

Firstly, I do appreciate that people with children have to put taking care of them ahead of other stuff. I may have never had kids, but I have nieces (and one nephew). However, frankly you just posted fluff and more fluff on Day 2. I didn't really mention Today. I'm content with a Hawkeyeop lynch Today, because he's the sort to pull such a ballsy gambit. But I'm leaving my vote on you because I think you've a better chance to be Alien based on the first two Days.
