Everyone's secrets started coming out during this day. The person who was mostly of interest was Roosh. His theatrical claim of the one and only Dr. Horrible immediately put him at the top of the lynch list. Although he put up a valiant defense, he could not escape his fate.
"OH! Goodness. Look at my wrist," said Roosh. "I gotta go! Tell Penny I love her!" He jumped up and ran for the doors.
KSSSHHHHKKKKK!!
An extremely bright blue flash lit up the darkened room. Everyone looked up to see Roosh, frozen solid in mid step.
"Hahahahahah! Nobody will mock the Ice Beam now!" shouted Johnny Snow. Roosh's frozen body tipped slightly, then toppled over, shattering into a million pieces on the ground.
Roosh (AKA Dr. Horrible), Third Party Special is dead.

I guess Dr. Horrible's death left us all speechless. Let's hope everyone wakes up at Dawn .

I am concerned that some of the nights without kills may have been recruitment attempts by the scum to fill out their numbers. I've never played a game with recruitment before and I don't really know what the procedure tends to be. Are they usually forced? That is, one Day you get a PM from the mod saying congratulations, you're now scum? If the scum can just recruit people, then I imagine the pool of confirmed town would be very attractive. Is there a time when I should start reinvestigating people?

I don't think you should start reinvestigating yet IS. The is only a kind of recruitment in this game.
The reason I think Pleo might have gone to the dark side are related to his votes Day six:
Pleo voted TL for no good reason, jumped to BillMc even though he had investigated town, then jumped back to TL when the investigaion was pointed out to him.
He never, ever gave a good reason for voting for a claimed power role over a claimed vanilla. I admit I think Pleo plays a goofy game, but he usually comes up with a good reason for his votes and includes lots of analysis. Day 6 he appeared to be just looking for a likely candidate to vote for who didn't happen to be scum.
