Another one dead this morning, this one even bloodier than last Night. They found him just outside the door to the cell where he was staying, down in the basement of the East Wing - that's where they keep the prisoners in solitary confinement. No one else was staying in that building; I guess he liked being alone.
After the Stark gang left the building, I snuck back in through the service entrance and got a few pictures of the cell this guy chose to live in. Pics are attached. In case you're wondering, I'm pretty sure he did the whole thing with his own blood. It looks like quite a project - I guess he's been working on it for days. I didn't have time to count the hash marks on the wall facing the door, but I'd estimate there were five or six hundred. Guy kept a journal, too. I stole it. Nobody'll notice. It was Baldwin, the kid who lived through Stamford. I guess he was looking for some kind of forgiveness for what happened there.
I hope he found it, before Rogers and his thugs killed him.
Special Ed, AKA Penance, who was Pro-Town (Protective), has been killed.

-----------------------------------------------
Day Three begins here.
The vote threshold has been set at 32%, which means it will require five votes to complete a lynch. The Day will continue until any player receives a fifth vote; the Day ends immediately at the timestamp of the fifth vote. You may continue to discuss anything you wish thereafter if I am not around to immediately end the Day, but no votes or unvotes posted after the fifth vote will count.
Due to multiple requests from both players and non-players, we will not be instituting a voting deadline at the outset of this Day. However, if the Day bogs down at any time, I reserve the right to institute a deadline of no fewer than seven days following the issuance of the deadline. Does that seem fair to everyone?
If you have a Day action, it must be PMed to the moderator before the fifth vote is placed on any player.
Good luck!

Bummer, tho at least it is only one death. So I guess that gives some credence to Peeker's story; or if there is another killer, they were unsuccessful. However, I really don't like Peeker's behaviour in hammering texcat without allowing the rest of us to discuss her claim. That is anti-town.

I'll just quote directly the PM from story about Kat.

Ironic, as it is, that peeker killed someone who could have semi-confirmed him.

I see no reason to forestall the inevitable. I agree that both of peeker's hammers were premature, the second one ridiculously so. At best, we're ridding ourselves of Scum/PFK. At worst, we're ridding ourselves of a vanilla townie whose itchy trigger finger has done nothing but harm us so far.

Vote: peeker
I feel like I'm flip-flopping back and forth here like a fish, but how does a single kill give any real credence to peeker? It reduces the likelihood he's a PFK, yes, but that's all. I'm not opposed to his lynch at this point, but can we slow things down just a tad? At least give it 24 hours for everyone to see the thread.

Well I want to vote peeker as well but I'm willing to wait a bit to see what others have to say.

He claimed a one shot kill - so given only one death last night: - he told the truth - he lied, and someones kill failed Kat's role confirms that there is recruitment in the game, and it's kinda ironic, given the hoohaa Peeker has made about stating the obvious about recruitment, and his view on "fair", that he claims he killed the person who could have confirmed recruitment had taken place - indeed, Kat's role does, well did, give an element of fairness to recruitment - being able to make town aware that recruitment had happened, and having a one shot night kill to try and do something about it.

Peeker would probably say that Kat's role could as easily be misdirection regarding traditional recruitment as Tom's comments have been.
You're missing, I think, Ed's speculation from yesterday about peeker being a scum bonus killer. I largely dismissed the idea, but between MHaye's confirmation of Ed's statement regarding Storyteller's detailed cover roles; Ed's town flip which eliminates the possibility that he was arguing from PIS; and the fact that a bonus scum kill would not be expected to be repeated ...
(deep breath)
... I would not give peeker any extra credence for the lack of a second kill last night. Even if there was no protective role or roleblock or whattheheckever in play.
Speaking of MHaye. He provided the rationale that ultimately killed luv, and it was a rationale that proved false. He's been a bit noticeably emphatic regarding his dislike of SHIELD -- for instance, see the comment from Yesterday that SisC noted. And other than that, he's been rather quiet. I think he may be the Green Goblin himself.

Other character being controlled by the nanites (only not, because his tie had been broken). I suspect the capitalization was meant to give a hint as to who he's claiming to be, though if course I don't know for sure, not being mhaye and all.

I'm OK with a peeker lynch, not voting to avoid the Day ending too quickly. As said a town peeker or anyone else really wouldn't have hammered someone who just claimed a couple of minutes.
I think the 32% is an odd number for a threshold (even though it's even). But haven't been able to see a pattern in it.

I think we pretty much have to lynch Peeker at this point. I would like him not to be the hammer even for his own lynch. So lets try to have votes 4 and 5 as close together as possible

NETA: We shouldn't end the Day too soon, though, because we might want any Day actors to have the opportunity to, well, act.

Hmm.
I have to say that if Peeker wants is to believe his protestations, he should not be acting in exactly the same way as Santo Rugger the Godfather did in one game - Firefly, I think - when he dropped the hammer three days in a row, then got lynched for it.
At this stage, I'd be comfortable with a Peeker lynch because he is behaving in a way consistent with anti-town motives. I plan to place a vote for him in the next 26 hours (ie by midnight my time) unless persuaded otherwise.
Nphase and Sister Coyote : I am not repeat not the Green Goblin. He and I are in entirely different situations.
And SHIELD are bastards who deserve horrible deaths. (Disclaimer; All rants against SHIELD are the opinions of my character, and God help SHIELD if she breaks free from their control.)

I'm still reading to catch up - so I'd really like for the Day not to end too soon. And please don't forget that peeker can hammer himself - so I'd feel a bit better with less "real" vote on him right now. When I'm caught up, I'll post more on the issue - hope this is okay with you all

Peek only has three votes on him right now. If he had one more, I'd be concerned about him dropping the hammer.

Oh, yeah, I totally (heh) agree -- you need time to read through everything and get caught up. I think we need at least 24 hours before the next vote goes down on peek so we can discuss further, too.

Peek only has three votes on him right now. If he had one more, I'd be concerned about him dropping the hammer. nah, i wouldn't do that. the drama of self votes is a tad bit overdone, imho. and sure i've played like crap from a town standpoint. i probably should have waited until i could have picked a juicy scum target to align myself but thems the breaks. my only regret is that i played so anti town and now find myself a townie. and i know that i make a real easy scum lynch or just a frustrated townie lynch, for that matter as well. oh well, nothing i say will or should influence what you do. i have no more information to post as my power is used up and have no reason to engage in any mod related pms. so you guys do what needs to be done. and town i sure hope you guys can pull this one out of the weeds for me.

neta: i think if you look at hawk you'll find a scum. It is the purple isn't it? Always makes me look like a rebel. I need a more trusty name. How bout Briston, there is no way a guy with that name isn't a government stooge. Eh where were we? Peeker you took actions that were clearly anti-town. Maybe it was worth it from your point of you, but you had to expect town to lynch you. Town wouldn't be doing its job if it didn't. I'm not going to be convinced otherwise no matter how much finger pointing you do.

hawk: exactly the response from scum that i would expect. no ill feelings, btw. i have played poorly and will accept whatever. i am just unclear how adding another dead townie helps us. fuck, if i am so bothersome or anti town just ignore me. but killing me does nothing but advance the death of town. if that's what you are about, go for it.

I agree with the peeker lynch. Yesterday's hammer was unexpected, and it didn't give anyone any time to consider texcat's claim before she was lynched. I also agree with the suggestions that we wait a tic before actually lynching him, to give everyone a chance to check in on today's thread and give their opinion about the prospective lynch.

Oh, I'm definitely down with a peeker lynch. I don't believe for a minute that he's telling the whole truth in his claim, and his actions yesterday (hell, the whole game) have been exceptionally anti-town. I still think his "mod question: were cover roles provided to any sides or individuals in this game?" post was scummy as all hell. He knew full well that question would not be answered, so I think he put it out there to look like he didn't already know if there are/are not cover roles provided. Once Total Lost catches up, then I have no problem throwing the switch on peeker.
