As the sun sets, the will of the travelers becomes illuminated. Tensions are high as you wait for your host to return, so that you may deliver the malfeasant Pleonast into the hands of justice. A loud crash echoes through the dining hall as the unnamed lord of the castle opens and then slams shut the large metal chamber door.
"Have you found the traitor?" he asks, and you could swear the glint in his eye is more cruel than it is vengeful. Suddenly you feel much less certain about the wisdom of following this man's orders, but it appears to be too late as the man approaches Pleonast. No one speaks, but many of those around you shift nervously. Surely no one here is accustomed to meting out death and destruction?
The lord circles Pleonast, appraising him. The shackled captive does not seem frightened, and he begins to speak calmly. "You must understand, I have done nothing wrong here. I do not know who committed last Night's travesty, but it was not I. I am but a simple traveler in search of shelter."
The lord smiles and pulls Pleonast to his feet. "Nevertheless, you must die." In one swift motion, he draws a small knife from his belt and opens his captive's throat wide. Pleonast crumbles to the ground without a sound, and a card flutters out from somewhere within his robes. The lord picks up the card. "Ah, XVI. The Tower. So he was telling the truth." He laughs, and strides out of the hall, leaving you and your companions nearly speechless. After a few moments of shock, you decide to discuss anything but the Day's events with your fellow travelers.
Pleonast, vanilla Town, has been lynched.

Huh, I actually watched Zombieland for the first time on Friday. Now that you mention, there is something of a resemblance. I, of course, am most accurately represented by Abigail Breslin's character.

Yep, saw it on FB. You guys watch Zombieland? Woody Harrelson's character is exactly how I picture peeker. I actually have it on DVD here and have never watched it. Is it mostly horror of mostly comedy? My wife doesn't like horror movies and I've wondered if it would be good. We like Shaun of the Dead, but parts of it were too violent. We preferred Hot Fuzz from Edgar Wright(and yet, we hated Scott Pilgrim). Go figure.

By the way, sorry if I already did this, but Sach has started a game up over on the Dope. It has a totally new mechanism. You should check it out even if you don't want to play in it. We do need 6 more people, by the way. It's called International Mafia. Sign up! boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=587563

Zombieland was a'ight. I had heard really good things about it, but it didn't totally live up to the hype. They threw some feelings and crap in there, and I like my movies free of forced emotion. Can we stick to killing zombies please, and not delve into how sad post-apocalyptic zombietown makes you, 'cause that'd be super. Don't get me wrong, some of it was funny as hell, but it wasn't nearly so good as I'd expected. It's about as violent as Shaun of the Dead, without being quite as charming, so your ol' lady might not be that into it.

There were a couple scenes of gore that made my friend and I cover our eyes in fear but there was a lot of comedy too. Bill Murray shows up as a fake zombie which was fun.

The Bill Murray thing was about the only thing I liked about Zombieland.

The Bill Murray thing was about the only thing I liked about Zombieland. I heard about that. "Do you have any regrets?" "Maybe Garfield."

Does anyone have any spare warm weather? I would like to melt the remainder of the snow in South England and stop it turning into ice.

We're in single digits here in WI. Can't do much for you.
Personally, I really got a kick out of zombieland. As long as you don't take it too seriously, it's a hoot.
