Huh. Looks like I set the countdown incorrectly. Well, I suppose I'll just end it now and use the score from last nights dismal game. If anyone has any objections, voice them.

My kid is going to be in college by the time we get to run this malazan game. That was true before the lottery, too. Besides, I think you mean that your kid will be in college by the time we finish the setup.

Besides, I think you mean that your kid will be in college by the time we finish the setup. SHHHH. As far as anyone knows we are done. Honestly I think at this point we just need the deadline of a game start time to get us to finish this bad boy off. We are very close.

I just had another idea for a game: has anyone run a Star Trek game in recent memory? Of course, I need to finish balancing House and figuring out how exactly to set up my gastard game, too... Congrats to Story.

So... I have two setups more or less in working order: one is a WATCHMEN setup, one based on on the Marvel Civil War. Any group preferences on which one I should run?

I vote for not watchmen, since that's the game I want to play in and I won't be playing in the next few games.

Everything is good. But my baby is due any day now so I figured I will be too busy for mafia for a while.

Everything is good. But my baby is due any day now so I figured I will be too busy for mafia for a while. How did I miss this? Congratulations!!!!! Just for the record, though, here's a secret: New babies do not take up as much of your time as you think they will. They mostly sleep, and then poop, and then stare, and then go back to sleep after pooping. The hardcore, "I can't believe there are only 24 hours in the day" stuff doesn't actually start until about month three.

I don't know, I feel like I have been talking about it non stop. But I am probably more aware of my talking about the baby than others are. ;D That's good to know. Honestly, it's those first three months that I am the most afraid of. I have dealt with babies before, but never any younger than three months, so it's good to hear that the first three are a bit easier.

I'm good with either, though I'm not as familiar with Marvel Civil War.
FCOD, let me do a little more thinkery and I'll get back to you, though I was thinking more TOS/Reboot than ST:TNG. Hm. more thinking to be done.

I know nothing about the Marvel Civil War. It must have happened after about 1969. However, I enjoyed Skrull Planet so I'd play another Marvel game.
I'd prefer Watchmen mafia though.

Awesome. For what it's worth, I've settled on the Marvel: Civil War theme. My Watchmen game just doesn't make any sense yet, and it needs more time and development. The basics of the Marvel game are solid. NAF and sachertorte are helping out with the roles; I think it's going to be very, very interesting.

Well, right now I'm figuring End of Cat's Game + approximately 7 days, give or take a few, if Cat's game ends before Friday, 12/11. If Cat's game runs beyond that (and given the state of the game, I doubt it will, but you never know), I'll probably delay the start of the game until after the Christmas holiday has started, since I'm sure participation during the week leading up to that holiday will be sparse.
I'm actually going to post a teaser and sign-ups today (Idle's given me clearance). Please be advised that in most cases, an absence - even of a few days or more - won't really hurt much; the game will have Days of open-ended length, ending when a specific voting threshold is reached rather than when a particular amount of time has expired.
