The Ascendants all heaved a sigh of relief after Hood was take into the House of the Azath. Did this mean... no more death? Were the inhabitants of this world immortal, destined to live forever? Or will Hood continue to wield dominion over his realm even trapped behind the doors of the House? Only time will tell. At least they'd eliminated one threat, or so they told themselves as they silently dispersed.
The Night passed, as Night is wont to do, with the occasional secret meeting, some sudden flare of power as this Ascendant or that made some clandestine move – or maybe fended off some overly aggressive flora.
As light crept gently into the sky, the Ascendants converged again. In the light of Dawn, they all counted heads, to see if anyone had succumbed in the Night.
Ten.
Ten people had seen Dusk fall, and ten saw the Sunrise.
No deaths occurred last night.
This ends the sixth Day of the Malazan Game of the Fallen

I was obligated to vote for myself yesterDay if I posted in the thread, I thought I could do a work around by not posting. Obviously the mods still counted me as voting for myself. So much for that theory.

Well, seeing as you're not aligned with anyone I know, I'll vote for you.

That having been said, I think this is a bit of important knowledge that I should share at this point in the game.
I suspect Normal Phase has the sword, if it still exists.
I am almost certain that a member of story's meta-Clan had it, because they were the only ones who knew that Moley was a tracker.
Normal had an agreement to deflect Night actions away from storyteller. The night Moley was killed with the sword, Pleonast's Night action targeted at storyteller actually went through.
I have blocked Normal Phase for the last two Nights, as I wanted to ensure that everyone else's Night actions ended up where they were actually targeted. The side effect of no Night killings was not one I expected, but then I started putting all the pieces together and...well, that's why I'm telling all of you.

And, I don't have the sword.

I think the mods are getting a little sloppy- Remember Pleo said that he didn't get any confirmation of his night action against me, either?
I presume that my having to vote for myself was the result of Pleo's night action.

So I'm back from the third world--i.e Ohio where I spent the last half of two weeks ago and the second world--i.e. Bangalore, India--where I spent last week.
Got home a bit after Noon today. Now fighting off jet lag. I'll try to get up to speed by tomorrow night.

I would like confirmation of that if it's at all possible -- as it stands Drain is claiming something that all evidence available to me says is not true; and if it was a mod oversight, she's probably thinking the same of me.

I was roleblocked night five; I got a clarification PM. Sorry to have called Drain a liar when she was telling the truth. Regardless, I don't have a sword, and the coincidences are just coincidence. On the night that Pleonast's action went through, I "protected" someone else, thinking that everyone would assume I was covering Storyteller and that he'd therefore be safe.

I targeted fisheroo last Night, but they were protected.
I'm not sure why fish was counted as voting themself. My power can't force a vote, it can only cancel a vote if they don't vote the right way.
I will start off vote fisheroo but I find the case against nphase plausible.

That's because you never actually talked to anyone.

I still think NP has the sword, but I'm willing to recognize that it could just be a series of coincidences. I don't know a single person in the game who has ever dealt with fisheroo, and that's just as scary.

vote fisheroo
Primarily, the same reasons as everyone else. Fish is one of the few people I've never dealt with, and that no one who I talk to will so much as admit to speaking with.

I'd like to know how Fisheroo hoped to win the game without joining any clans, without having a primary clan and without "scheming" with other players. Does she not have the same wincon as everyone else? She was Ed's first lie detector target but did not post her wincon in the game thread on Day 2 - possibly because she was already confirmed non-MotDoD and non-HoC - but it seems pretty strange that she doesn't appear to want to win.

Originally I intended to stay out of the fray at the beginning, keep a low profile, not stick my head up, in fear of getting it cut off. Ed was in the middle of everything, and he had confirmed me as not HOC, so I had no need to get involved at the get go. My thinking is that I'd come in a little later, after the dust settled.
But even at the beginning there was already such an appearance/reality of clanning. Hard to waltz in-lots of you folks have been playing together/ have known each other for years-I'm pretty new and no one was beating down my door.
My power kinda sucked, and after being thwarted in using it so many times, it was pretty worthless. How was I supposed to bring anything of value to anyone? Hey my power is worthless, want to clan with me? I doubt I would have had many takers.
By the time I felt like I could contribute something (which is still debatable) it was too late.
Not whining, not excuses, just an explanation. As I've said before, I lasted much longer than I thought I would.

I think I can see where you're coming from but I have been told that you've been approached by several people to join their clans - maybe they didn't beat your door down but you were invited, right?
Do you want to tell us your power?

No, I was not approached nor invited to join any clans.
My power was the ability to know what someone's primary clan was. Not really important at the beginning, and of dubious value now.
Seeing that I was blocked or redirected almost every night, or my target would promptly get killed, it was worth even less.

I'm reviewing all my PM's now. There was indeed one offer. Unfortunately I was still of the wait and see mindset.

Just to remind people.
The deadline for submission for Day actions still exists, and is rapidly approaching, being some 80 minutes away.
Dusk follows 24 hours later.:highlighted:

Vote: fisharoo for the reasons others have mentioned. (I think all the internet issues have finally been resolved around the house, so I should be able to participate more from this point forward.)
